What an amazing experience? Great place to bring kids or your partner to have a great experience. The view is fantastic, the service was great and the food was amazing. Really had a great time with my family, we will definitely be back!

First time for me. Loved the ribs and it was enough to share. Hot afternoon and lovely setting. Pity about the freshly ploughed strawberry fields and smell of manure. Did take away from the beautiful view of the mountains. Will go again in strawberry season, for sure.

Nice place for a drink after work on a Friday. It is popular and gets really busy. The tapas were very good as a light addition to our drinks. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable on the menu. There is plenty of parking which is nice.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The chicken strips were top notch. The prawn and cheese spring rolls will change your life. One of the best tasting things I’ve ever eaten. I had the Fat Tony pizza and it was also fabulous. The mocktails are also great.

The best lamb shanks I’ve had in a decade. This place was excellent. The service was top-notch, the beer cause I’m good, food served, hot and delicious. There’s also something for everyone on the menu, including my friend, who is very picky eater. This is a place not to be missed.

My ultimate favourite stop to make between Stellenbosch and Somerset West. The Pub/ Restaurant’s atmosphere is amazing diverse, relaxing it’s an awesome chilled vibe in the middle of a strawberry farm. Perfect place for a catch up with a friend or date with your loved one. I Highly recommend the Thirsty Scarecrow to anyone!

The food is delicious!! I definitely recommend the HAKE - it's something you have to eat while in the Cape (it did need a little salt though) The strawberry daiquiri is actually made of real strawberries! It is DELICIOUS! The kids playground is such a nice touch. It's pretty, well maintained & the kids really enjoyed it. The service wasn't slow & the tables nearest to the playground fill up fast! The bar is super cool! And it's really a large restaurant with great views of the strawberry farm. You won't be disappointed if you go!

Went on a rainy day, and was pleasantly surprised that we were seated immediately overlooking the kids play area. We had the Big Blue Pizza & Chilli Poppers, and they were fantastic. Kids burgers were huge. Winner venue with the kids, even on a rainy day because of the indoor gaming area. But for more sunny days there is a big playground and trampoline. This is directly next to the Strawberry picking area (not in season at the moment) so we will have to come back in Nov/Dec) Service was prompt, and very helpful. Clean and organized.

We really enjoyed your food and drinks and will definitely come back for round 2. This was such a nice experience. Great service even when very busy. We enjoyed some wild cocktails and interesting out-of-the-box shooters paired with great food. They have amazing pizzas and even greater burgers. Definitely a must try over and over till you have found your most favorite. Very kids friendly with an awesome play area for kids too! Thank you guys for the very nice evening and the super friendly service!

Amazing place for little functions indoor and outdoors. Perfect for date night or just a night out with friends. More of a pub and very little grub. If you looking for a variety of drink options then this is your place, the menu is very limited but food is still amazing, as are the views. Definitely worth exploring.

What a fantastic experience for our 7 year wedding anniversary! We were there on a weekday - today. Staff was super friendly, food was truly delicious, and when we asked the meat to please be removed from our pizza's as we're pescatarian, the waiter, out of her own, asked what we'd like to have it substituted with - resturants have become so fussy is this regards, I didn't even think it was an option, so didn't ask - and it was truly amazing having someone actually go that extra mile and cater to us! Thank you Thirsty Scarecrow. We'll surely be back.❤️❤️❤️

Really nice! Awesome vibe! Loved the option of a beer tasting, really enjoyed it! Awesome playground for the kids. Give a 4 stars instead of a 5 only due to 1 thing: menu not kiddies friendly. Absolutely no options available on the menu for the kids. Even had to order adult size milkshakes which they weren't able to finish.

Relaxed bar atmosphere with a long list of spirits, beers and tapas. Loved the crisp fresh beer options on tap. Good vibes whether you’re on a date and want to sit overlooking the strawberry fields or watch the sports games inside.

We had such an amazing experience here. First of all, it is a family restaurant which is child and pet friendly. Tee reception of waiters was very friendly and you feel right at home. It was a fairly coldish day with rain and the semi outside seating areas has ceiling heaters, so it was comfortable. The food is amazing. They have something for everyone. I had pulled beef brisket. Supper tasty and the portion is generous. They sell Bitburger, which is one of my favorite beers. What is notably special about this one is you can order it in a boot. Yes, you swop your shoe for a Bitburger boot beer. (You get your shoe back again) This place come highly recommended, small or larger groups of people or even a party. Come hungry and thirsty.

Wow This place has the most amazing view of the mountains. They also have a boere shop, where you can buy dried fruit and preserves, and several more fancy food items. They farm grows strawberries, so they sell punnets of the hugest, nicest strawberries I've ever seen for a very reasonable price.. and also makes for the best strawberry milkshakes Ive ever had in my life😍 The food... gourmet level vivants, like camembert burgers, German sausage, authentic tapas... but a speciality seemed to be the wood fire pizza, also with some real gourmet ingredients. But more than that; even though the food is so fancy, it was really affordable. The wait staff are awesome: attentive, friendly, and helpful. The final treat was the "sweets from heaven" style sweetshop at the entrance 😁got all sorts of nummies for home. Tons of secure inside parking with security.

Love the menu.. especially the TAPAS... Beer from around the world... Unique flavours and fun dining... Outside seating is a bit uncomfortable, but don't let that sway u from ordering more.. will definitely be coming back for my 3rd visit!!

We really enjoyed this place! We came across this place by accident and I’m very glad this happened. From now on I will tell everyone who is visiting Stellenbosch that this is a must stop! The place, the food, the drinks, the people, it’s all just amazing. They have countless local craft beers on tap, a whole lot bottled international beers, a very large cocktail and shooter menu and an amazing food menu with only food for the soul. I normally don’t like places with such large menu’s, but in this case everything was just right. The drinks all looked fabulous and the food was amazing! You could really tell that everything is prepared with passion, love en attention. Would love to be back! Stonefruit cider, nachos chorizo and pizza thirsty scarecow (with Biltong!) are our fav’s

We went sunday for desert. The best desert in my opinion is the Pecan sundae, they promise you pecan nuts and they do not disappoint. One of my family members decided to only drink beers but when he saw the lovely deserts he decided to order one for himself. The only problem i had was that the proportion sizes of the other deserts were off for example, the cheesecake was very sweet with only a shot glass of ice cream. Then it was the waiting time. All that aside it's kid friendly, our kids didn't want to leave, even our TikTokers enjoyed the park. The staff is very friendly as well.

Ohhh myyyy goodness!!!!!!! Our Breakfast-Brunch was absoflippenlutely delicious! It was a special birthday occasion for our group: the atmosphere was relaxed & fun and the food was yummm! An awesome venue with lovely views and so much on offer - all in one place - even Kelly's Candy Store an absolute sweet heaven with party packs and tons of delectable goodies, a kids play area so adults can have their fun and a second restaurant: the Farmer's Kitchen. Upstairs is an amazing venue for private functions & special events like Quiz or Comedy Night, Whiskey Tasting, Murder Mystery Dinners and so much more! No matter what your occasion: Ivan and Kelly will listen, cater and deliver and their team is friendly and capable! A huge selection in the bar, including craft beers, cocktails and 'everything' you might wish for as well as strawberry picking in season and a farmstall right next door. Sjoe!!! (= whew :) This is a MUST SEE - a place to regularly 'chill', socialize, network after work and simply 'to be' with friends and kuier (just no better word/English for that :)

Biggest milkshakes ever - really good, made with real fruit. The food was also delicious; you can order tapas if you're not too hungry, and the drink selection definitely has something for everyone.

The beer battered fish was delicious. The service was superb, Martha was an absolute joy. The only negative was the ladies bathroom.

Very nice place. Quite busy on weekends. If you want to pick Strawberries please enquire beforehand whether it's open for picking.Good kiddies play area and massive selection of local beers.

A great place to stop off along the wine route. They have an amazing selection of wine and beers from around the world. They have a short menu with a few options. There is ample parking available, but it is advised to have a designated driver.

Very nice family venue with the biggest variety local and international beer on tap. Tasty food. Pet friendly. Lovely play area for kids. Service is a bit slow from the kitchen, but this is largely due to the amount of seating that is available. They can't keep up on a full day. Food is good. No handicap bathroom facilities
