Very nice place to fly into! And has a great restaurant to send time at with friends and has some very cool old and new planes! Definitely a must visit for South African pilots!

Great easy place to sit outside and order light food, while enjoying light planes flying in and out of the airport. Quick food service. Friendly.

Ok, so I'm a little biased here, I have always loved this place - for starters it's in such a beautiful setting - you're gonna want to go for a flip here to see more of what I mean. I find the people generally friendly and approachable. I've been coming here for years and hope to keep doing so in future. I'm an aviation enthusiast and an aviation photographer. I also love being in the air. Take my word for it, take a drive out one Saturday and come watch the planes come and go. Sometimes events take place and this is where you'll see the most otherwise it can be quiet. From time to time there are air shows so check the Stellenbosch flying club website and Facebook page.

Beautiful location, GPS takes you right to the place. Restaurant is probably one of the most affordable ones in Stellenbosch. Small planes and helicopters look so big in real life! Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended. They cater for big groups as well. Will visit again.

There is not much to do but watch the occasional plane take fight and land. Food service is very slow but worth the wait if you not starving. Only recommended if you are going with really young kids that will get super excited for the planes.

It is a beautiful setting with a big open field where the planes are parked and takes their runways. The food is comparatively inexpensive, but not skimpy. What we had was delicious. You may say the service is a bit slow, but that wasn't an issue as just sitting outside, watching the planes, makes you so relaxed that that you don't want to be rushed.

Absolutely disappointed in my experience. Were the only Person of colour patrons and were completely ignored by the staff while they served others. Not even manager in sight to voice out complains to. Don't think we'll be back anytime soon.

Been there many times. Each time was absolutely wonderful. The food is always super and the prices are very reasonable. The service is a bit slow, but I think it was because it was quite busy, but the waiters make up for it. Super parking, kids everywhere and awesome view.

It was a bit windy when we were there and if you are not a member, then one cannot dine inside..but besides that, the food was good and reasonably priced. A very pleasant outing provided the wind isn't blowing..

Such a loving admosfere under the trees and umbrellas.The grass is green one can see its well maintained.Lots of airoplanes the see and to show the children. The pizzaa we orderd was very well made and warm when its been served to us Thank you guys you do good work

Beautiful setting and lots of action on the airstrip. Unfortunately the chicken wings were cold & pale. Some not cooked through. How about making them grilled or deep fried. The sauce with the prawns is far from prei-peri. Not nice!! Your chips are delicious & beers cold. Overall a lovely outing.

Best airfield I've been to. Open view of the whole airfield, great restaurant there, great community, has a flight school and simulators, and also holds events like airshows. Recommend visiting when you just want to chill at an airfield.

Great views and location ..let down by chaotic restaurant management and terrible service...no record of booking and manager even argued that we made it for a different time ..it took 40mins to receive menus ...another hour to receive a salad and it took over an hour after placing our order for our steaks to arrive ...no apologies. Not the first time to receive such bad service here !

The flying club is a wonderful place, lots of green grass for kids to run, a old firetruck to explore and many planes taking off and landing. The service at the restaurant can be a bit slow so come with time to spare.

We ordered different meals but this 1 Star is dedicated to the worst seafood basket ever. It comes plated and the two calamari ring (looked like small onion rings), three prawn stubs and what ever the rest was all tasted exactly the same - like crumbs. This was an absolute waist of money. Very disappointing.

I really love going the SFC restaurant and the vibe, view and food are great. Visited again for the 1st time in years and the service has improved a lot! Great food at great prices too

One of the Helderberg better kept secrets! Super ambience, great facilities to just enjoy the atmosphere, bar and restaurant, inside and outside seating. Ample safe parking. We have often come out for a drink, a meal, to meet colleagues or friends and just enjoy the aviation atmosphere. Aircraft come and go every now and again
