Somerset West. Love this mall. It has everything you need. The mall is spotlessly clean. We come here to have Sushi at Watami sushi and Asian cuisine and the shops are all conveniently located that my husband loves paying his clothing accounts here. The staff is always friendly and very efficient making your shopping experience very pleasant. The one problem in this area is the parking. There is never any parking near the mall and parking is very expensive.

Beautiful Mall. I miss everyone one there already. I lived in the apartment inside the mall for 13 days. What an experience. Hearing the wild pigeons and other birds in the morning, wow. Everyone there, amazing people. Special thanks to the amazing people from the Costa Coffee inside the Mall.

Security is pathetic. Heard about so many cases of people having their phones stolen, now it has happened to me. CCTV system is so stupid, each store manages its own so there is zero integration and no ability to follow suspects and see where they exited the building. Zero communication between stores and the so called security guards at the entrances.Would not help anyways as they just stand around and chat, but yo back n lockdown they gave people a hard time for not wearing masks, but dont worry you can exit with a stolen phone no problem. Honestly just pathetic for a place such as this if you thing about the total amount of money that is being spent here daily. My phone got stolen in Bargain books, person there was helpful and could identify the person guilty, but the actual security guard took no interest in it. There was no way for the person at Bargain books to let the entrance guards know of what has happened. UPGRADE YOUR SECURITY SYSTEM, MAKE IT INTEGRATED AND HAVE CLEAR COMMUNICATION BETWEEN ALL STORES AND SECURITY GUARDS ON DUTY

I mostly go into the mall to go to the gym, but there is a great diversity in shops at the mall. There is usually parking, but sometimes it is full. It's quite easy to navigate once you're in the mall and there nice restaurants aswell. 4/5.

People and working staff unfriendly and downright rude. In Food lovers the trolley attendant took my trolley away without asking me if I was still using it. I had to carry my shopping by hand to my car. Secondly, my husband had to ask why Spur was not opened at 9....to which one of the senior staff....a lady responded very rudely. I also found the staff to be very laxadazicle. They don't take their jobs serious. I just had a very bad experience and would not willingly visit that mall again.

I kove going to Eikestad Mall when I visit Stellenbosch. There are a variety of stores to choose from, which give me a great way of passing the time while I'm waiting for an appointment. The coffee shops like Nude Coffee, have amazing coffee, and these are a lovely place to meet friends.

Easy access via paid parking, lunch time gets full because of the influx of students so be prepared to have to hunt for a parking spot, other times are less congested. The mall is typical will all the usual tenants, there are some cool little coffee shops for a quick snack. All in all the mall is user friendly.

I was not very happy as I had to pay for using the toilets, something very inconvenient if you plan on enjoying spending your money from the malls management it clearly shows a low class venue and a lack of class. I wanted to go back to shop there, but the place is packed, hot, and always busy, making it impossible not to bump into someone whilst using the facilities.

One of the best shopping malls in Stellenbosch. It has a wide variety of stores, this includes restaurants as well. Wheelchair accessible throughout the mall.

Average shopping centre. The PNA is very good, Checkers average. Game is not fantastic, but it has a Sportmans warehouse that is also good and a variety of other shops like Clicks, Crazy store, WW etc.

Great shops, could do with more coffee shops. But always a pleasure! And Spur needs a bathroom.

Relatively a good and modern mall, for a small town as Stellenbosch. Host some great retailers and convenient with significant parking, albeit pricey in my opinion. Lacks a cinema which is very disheartening as we need to drive quite a distance to either Somerset or Cape Gate. Checkers, Food Lovers and Game are the anchor tenants thus not really great competition for lower pricing. Not much of great restaurants, sadly aside from Spur which is not what I would rate due to their superbly poor service levels.

The mall is most definitely busy, which is good for tenants. But it can be overwhelming if you intend doning some relaxing shopping. Then this mall is not for you. It feels unorganized and hectic. Service in most places was not good. Cashiers in Checkers did not greet and were talking to other cashiers while attending to our sales.

Really a waste of time as nothing to do in this mall after 6pm. No cinema etc. Only if u need to do some shopping for pantry and clothing. What a loss of having anything to do in town after 6 pm

Mall sufficient, but parking system is a mess. Paypoints operation irregular and staff does not have clear protocol on how to handle this. Pretty sure basement noise levels exceed the legal limits with no noise dampening on any running equipment.

5 stars because they have almost all stores I would find back home. The mall is clean, wheelchair friendly and well lit. The only weird thing about it is how narrow the mall is however, really big. There are so many food spots. I did not have the time to see each and every store or corner of the mall but will definitely go there again. There's parking in the mall as well as opposite. Lots of students due to the University of Stellenbosh basically sharing the area with the mall.

Won't recommend. The shops aren't stocked very well, very little variety. Also it's probably the only mall in the Western Cape where you need to pay for parking. Definitely not worth it. Much better off going to Paarl Mall or Somerset Mall.

Good experience overall. Not enough parking. Very busy at times. Good Variety of shops. Lot of fast food outlets. In general, good experience. Keep it up.

It was a pleasant shopping experience. Especially enjoyed TotalSports & Dischem. Their service was exceptional.

Bit of a dodgy place. Homeless guy in bathroom asking for money - upon alerting a security guard he did absolutely nothing. It’s alright during student season when busy, but without them it turns into a less than desirable destination. Management should really do something about this.

Feels very unsafe. Parking is excesively expensive and there isnt enough parking. Always hawkers and beggars that make it unsafe at the outside parking space. Mall management has a poor attitude to client experiences when dealing with them over email. Branches of almost every shop in this mall is some of the worst branches, always a lack of stock and end up having to drive to Somer Set Mall or Tygervalley Mall.

I love this mall. Small and intimate yet it has everything that I need 👌 Clean and enough toilet facilities. Ample parking.

  • 1/5 Sarel van V. 1 year ago on Google
The mall is fully equipped with everything anyone would like. The security couldn't wait to come and tell me that "you are not allowed to sit on the staircase" however when I finally found a place to sit at 8:55 am, a vagrant came to me in the restaurant begging for money. Upon my arrival at 7:35 the vagrants were all over ,outside and around the mall harassing me and begging for money. Now how can such a "well managed" mall allow paying customers to be greeted with vagrants and be harassed by them inside the mall. If I were to give each vagrant R2... I'd be paying even more than what the ridiculous parking rates are.

It tends to get busy during the day but for an average South African mall, it's strangely enjoyable.

I'm so disappointed in the service I got tonight. I'm utterly disappointed in the manner my waiter Queen B treated me and my husband after we just wanted a chilled night out Away from our 2 kids. I got asked in Xhosa what I wanted by a back of house staff member after I had to, go from my table and asked for a drink for me and my husband. As a former employee for a rocomammas store this is a disgrace to the rocomammas stores and please tell your employees not all coloureds do not understand Xhosa. I do and not just that not once queen b (our waiter had a smile on her face). Not just that we were rushed too finish our last drinks due to closing time.

Having last been here quite a few yrs ago I was surprized given the choice of stores, lay out and cleanliness. Nice shopping experience, bonus was seeing renowned Chef Bertus Basson with his son on his shoulders walking through.

The mall is modern and clean but the major problem is the layout of the mall and the fact that there aren't mall maps at every entrance. So you basically have to wonder around and hope you'll find the store you're looking for.

With the only mall in Central Stellenbosch and with all the necessary shops especially for students, Eikestad mall is very well situated for Stellenbosch students but alsofor the pedestrians using the taxi rank. The parking area outside are sufficient but alot of students park there cars for weeks stationary but further than that the mall is doing well.

It easy to get to just very narrow driving spaces for cars to go and park but other then that it's all good

I was stuck underground for half an hour because their parking payment system went down. Rather than opening the booms, they forced everyone to queue and pay the longer stay price in an office downstairs. Absolute chaos and they still chose greed at the inconvenience of their customers.

just enough of what you need, wiolworths , a small but lovely selection of clothing stores....game is big and clicks awesome....but for a wide , more specific type shops, i would google what your looking for.

A good place to get different things at a different range of prices. It's like a usual mall which has most shops you'd get at most malls. Shops closes very early on a Sunday though so beware of that

  • 5/5 Nonhlanhla M. 1 year ago on Google
I think it's silly that stores close really early on a Sunday. Weekends are the best time for people to do their shopping. However stores like woolworth's and Food lovers are open till 5pm on a Sunday.

When completed to the big malls I’ll give it a 3 star BUT it’s still a decent mall. Underground parking, plenty of stores to choose from including all the usual big name brands such as Woolworths, Mr Price, Sportsman’s Warehouse and Spur. We don’t often pop into many shops but we found ourselves popping into multiple lease known stores in this mall. It was quite busy on a Saturday but still didn’t feel too crammed. We really enjoyed Unlock Escape Room for the kids.

This mall is comprehensively 'stocked' with almost any shop you need. We found the centre a very nice place to walk through, mainly because it's clean and well looked after. I'll go there again when in the area.

👍👍 Lovely little mall in the winelands. Has a Pick 'n Pay, @Home, Clicks, Woolworths, Flight Centre, and several clothing shops, a pharmacy, jeweller, Doctors rooms, and a few restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating, including a Halaal spot. There's a lovely bakery called Schoon, in the middle of t...

👍 This place is at the heart of Stellenbosch and with a few coffee shops it's the perfect place to relax. I walk through here every day when I'm on my way to town and always get attracted to how peaceful it is in this centre. I definitely recommend this place for a chilled coffee break.
