😠 We were a group of 5 doing the wine tram and we all ordered our meals at the same time. Within 10 minutes the first couples meal arrived, more than 40 minutes later we were still left waiting for the 3 hamburgers. There was no apology from the waitress for the long wait. We were a group of 5 doing the wine tram and we all ordered our meals at the same time. Within 10 minutes the first couples meal arrived, more than 40 minutes later we were still left waiting for the 3 hamburgers. There was no apology from the waitress for the long wait. I was eventually forced to clear the empty plates myself as the service was non-existent. I dropped the empty plates with the bar staff and asked for the manager. I was told they were unavailable as they were at a wine tasting. So there was basically no presence of any authority what so ever. He assured me he’d check on our food and I had to request that we can please order another round of drinks. The waitress brought the drinks with still no food as well as no apology. She then proceeded to argue with me telling me that the couple ordered their food before us which was not the case at all. We all ordered at the same time as we were a part of a group and I physically watched the waitress write down each order all at once. I then asked her for the manager and she too told me the manager was unavailable. We had now been waiting for over an hour for 3 burgers. I then asked another staff member for the manager, once again I was told he was not present and at a tasting. We had our bus to the tram to catch and I then asked for the bill and requested that the burgers be cancelled. The waitress then suddenly appeared with 2 burgers. After over an hour wait it was too late. The burgers were removed from the bill, which we had to get up from the table to hunt someone down to pay. We nearly missed our tram thanks to their inadequacy. It was a completely underwhelming experience, we will not return or recommend the venue. The service was terrible with no presence of any management at all. Extremely disappointing and most certainly regret not lunching at Babylonstoren instead.

Highly recommend. Of all the farms we went wine tasting, Anura had better wines and was much more cheaper! It's also the one we enjoyed most. You could skip all and just got to Anura. The farm is very well maintained, they had a variety of cheese as well. Our cheese platter and wine combo was pretty good. Other than that, they also sell flavourful sauces to complement your meals. We definitely bought a couple.

We went for a late afternoon wine tasting. You can choose from 5 whites or 5 reds or mixed.R40 is a good price but asking R65 for the most let down cheese plate of your life is not worth asking. Please come only for the wine and forget the cheese platter. With so many wine farms in the area they will have to step up or ship out in the presentation of the cheese platter. The wine was beautiful with good prices and only bummer was that the MCC was not for tasting and sorry but paying R190 for this and not being able to taste it...seriously? Next time I would like to do a beer tasting...looks promising🤔🤔

Gorgeous vast Estate nestled amongst the Mountains and Vineyard scenery. Building Interior boasts beautiful wood work and furniture. We stayed for Lunch at their Restaurant, the Wagon Trail. We were seated on a cement terrace shaded by trees, overlooking beautifully manicured gardens and a large fountain. Server was quick and sufficient. I enjoyed their wood fire baked Margherita Pizza. Staff were quick and friendly, we opted for three wine tastings for R50 per person. The first was their Estate Sauvignon Blanc. The flavor palate is similar to Jess from Vrede en Lust except that overall the wine is more medium bodied and darker in color. My favourite however was their Estate Merlot, which is light, full of aroma with hints of blackcurrants and red berries, chocolate and coffee. Beautiful wine to enjoy with a good redmeat roast or barbeque.

What a very disappointing "lunch experience" The pizza base tasted lake baking soda, the burger was the size of a Small Mac and smothered in Mayonnaise. What a waste of such a beautiful venue. No manager to talk to and even the waitress said the food is bad. Good luck guys, you're going to need it.

Was there on a Wednesday morning, weather was great, and it was very quiet. Wine was good, coffee was strong and hot. We ordered the platter for 4, the foccacia was good and hot, really well seasoned. The cheese selection was a bit on the shy side. All the food was good and fresh and good value for money overall

Mostly when we visit a wine farm, we find 1 or 2 wines we get excited about but at Anura we were completely bowled over by wine after wine after wine of the best quality. WARNING!!! when you visit Anura, go in a vehicle with enough space for a lot of wine. To put the cherry on the cake the staff were so lovely, attentive, warm and helpful. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful farm, great wine. Was an good experience, loved the interior of the building. The waiter needed some more experience or training but in overall was great. Will recommend this place for some wine tasting, this place was a bit busy. Something to keep in mind

What a disappointment! What was supposed to be my mom's 84th birthday celebration, ended up being a 5-star letdown. The menu is one short page of overpriced arbitrary items: pizzas the size of a side plate @ R170, milkshakes @ R50, and smaller than KFC burgers @ R130. How can any venue justify this? I eventually settled for a bowl of olives and a plate of chips. Our waiter was not properly trained and had no idea how the beer tasting worked, let alone what the types of beers were, that formed part of the tasting. We had to ask to be informed about the beers served, by another staff member, that staged a below average rushed 2 min wishy washy explanation of the 4 beers. Oh my word, thank goodness I walked to the fridge area and viewed the Platter for 2 @ R250. It looked like the leftovers of a previous order. How on earth can you serve that sample of food for this astronomical price? You ask for still water and you get sparkling water. No dessert or coffee was offered and we decided to rather depart early than continue with the pain and suffering of struggling to complete this supposed special birthday. In conclusion, no manager of any kind was visible at any given time. BTW, please service your dirty female bathroom and fix the 2 toilets ... it's really a health risk for elderly guests specifically. My advice to prospective guests, do NOT take the turn-off to Anura, rather drive a few kilometers further and visit tye likes of Babylonstoren. Yes, I am totally disgusted and disappointed, to say the least 😑

Definitely one of our favorite wine estates with a stunning restaurant. Nothing beats sitting in their beautiful garden under the trees eating their delicious pork belly and burgers, sipping on Wine, Gin and beer. We have been there quite a few times and their great service & delicious food is a constant.

If I were to rate the winery on its own, I would give it a resounding 4, if not a 5. The wine was really good and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We also did some beer tasting. Really good value for money. However, we had also booked for lunch. Firstly our table was given away whilst we were wine tasting and we were given a table under light shade but on a very hot day, this was unbearable. The menu did not nearly resemble what was on the web, the selection of food was limited and the service was poor. We chose platters to share but they were short on variety and quality and were not worth the price. It then took us ages to get the bill. I had to look for somebody in order to pay and found 4 staff members chatting in the kitchen. I suspect the winery has outsourced the restaurant. Time for change otherwise they are going to lose a lot of business. Pity because the wines and winery are good.

Just had a brilliant wine tasting and mixed platter with our host, Percy. So many lovely wines to taste, and the platter was a worthy lunch on its own. We will be back very soon!

It's one of my favorite wine tasting rooms in all of Stellies. Absolutely beautiful, inside and out with a great wine and food selection. The lovely staff is a cherry on top.

Lovely location. Beautiful wedding venue. Staff were little unprepared for us. We were in a wine tasting group. Staff seamed a bit flustered. The arrival time was pre-arranged so they did know we were coming. Did not look like they were under staffed. They did mention they had a big group prior to us but I am sure they knew about that group beforehand. In the wine side. For myself and my wife we did not enjoy the reds. We had the Merlot and the Pinotage. There seamed for us a pepper aftertaste wicked burned the back of our pallet. Maybe a too high acid and was not enjoyable for us. Others in the group also seemed to pickup the same displeasure. Whites were little to acidic as well wich burned out tongue a lot. This was a Pinot Grigio and a Sauvignon Blanc. . Also they needed to be served chilled which they weren’t, so I suppose that also influenced the tastings. That’s why a 3/5 from us. We will make a turn again sometime to give a second chance.

We went on a 40 degree day and the aircon inside was amazing! Wine tasting was affordable and well presented. Didn't have anything else but I will recommend the cheese platter on a friend's advice.

We had a wonderful experience at Anura. We were helped by Amilio, who shared his passion for the wines there. The wines were not only delicious, but most were very reasonably priced.Beautiful setting.

I haven't been back to Anura in some years. Unfortunately, our experience this time wasn't that great. There was a wedding going on at the same time, which created quite a bit of noise coming from the adjoining room. Our host, Shaquil, was great. We enjoyed our interaction while doing our tasting.

Visited recently on our South Africa vacation from Texas. It was a rainy day, which was a bummer because the grounds were beautiful (even through the gray!) Our wine guide was very hard to understand, between accents and he spoke very softly. The wines were okay, not our faves. I ended up liking the sparkling white and hubby enjoyed the Cabernet. We were the only customers so we enjoyed sitting by a warm fire on a dreary day.

Attended the Groovers prayer event and it was amazing, the Vineyards has absolutely breath taking views. The entry to the Vineyards is spectacular. I am definitely coming back for a wine tasting or lunch sometime this year. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to come and have a chilled day!

The food was really good, but the restaurant service was embarrassing to even witness not only to our table but to the other tables as well. This is not the first time and the it’s been a few months and it’s gotten worse. Wine tasting service was on point and the wines are fab.

Service at the eatery was terrible. Stood at the door for 10 minutes waiting to be seated. Eventually just chose a table for myself. Waitresses all walked past me. Took another 15 minutes to get served. Got my order wrong and the bill didn’t come after asking more than once. Eventually just went to the front to pay. I don’t think the waitresses have actually been trained. Prices seemed fair at first but food was very below average.

Okay, so the winery had delicious wines and helpful staff. Their Malbec was a surprise for this region. The winery staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The brewery/restaurant was...a disappointment. So winery 5/5, brewery/restaurant 3/5.

Briliant experience. Enjoyed the tour of the vineyards and the wine and cheese pairing after. Even the kids had grape juice alternative while the adults tasted the wines.
