Visiting this resort with the family is always a pleasure. It is safe, always clean and the staff is friendly. The ablution facilities is a joy to walk into. No matter which time of year you visit, you don't deal with the unfriendly mosquitoes and flies. Camp grounds big enough for two eight sleeper tents with ample space for parking and setting up other camp stuff. This resort is definitely worthwhile and worth every penny. Keep up the good team.

My boyfriend & I are so blissful to be in this rented place. We are overjoyed by the garden & clean rooms. Everything required, is right by your doorstep. Best exploration only 7km away into Franschhoek & all around here. Thank u Yolanda for your heartwarming place

Beautiful resort to have a family picnic. Our kids had a ball of a time. The pools are safe with lovely cool river water and there's a beautiful playground with trampolines for the kids. A bit pricey if you have a big family because kids pay full from 11 years old.

One of the neatest and well run river camp sites in Cape Town. This place is still one of my old favorites hand has been very consistent over the years and has never lost its charm. A must to visit for a day to relax or even a few days if you camping or hiring a house for you holiday. You can braai here under the cool trees and float in their cool pools.

I was delightfully surprised by how lovely the chalets were for the price that we paid. Each chalet have two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and an aircon which was so needed in this Winter weather. There is braai facilities and a park for kids where parents can watch them from your chalets. I highly recommended this place for family or group holidays...Loved it 😍

First time camper at this resort and it was certainly worth the time out. Plots are huge with no shortage of power supplies. Caretakers are on rotation so your personal dirt bins are emptied regularly. Nearby access to water for all plots and ablution facilities were of the cleanest I've seen πŸ‘Œ Private shower cubicles and loo's, and a kitchen hosting all the amenities to make the 'clean up' of camp life a breeze... dishwashing area, laundry area with tumble drying and detergents supplied by the resort. 100% safe and fun for kids, while peaceful and relaxing for the parents and adults. I cannot wait to stay over again.

Well looked after camping site. Ablution facilities are clean and tidy. Sites next to the river are our favourites. Very nice pool. With day visitors it can become overcrowded at the pool area.

Rather disgusted than anything . Auwsome surrounding but very bad service . We booked through a guy called Carl and he really ripped us off!! We got a house without hot water , without a stove and a zinc that was leaking the whole place full for almost R4000 for the whole weekend . The most ridiculous service iv ever had . Too top it off , we paid all that money and still had to pay a gate fee of 90 rand per day ! I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. Carl is a scam and front gate service are terrible and the worst part is , we are still waiting for our deposit , which was promised within "5 days" its more than 15 days already and they just continuing with their lives .

This is truly a hidden gem. Lived in Cape Town my whole life and have never even heard of this place until recently. Beautiful, clean and great entertainment for kids with all the pools as well as river.

This is a nice place for kids and to rest, it's not fancy, but it is clean and well run and is a welcome get away for a staycation for the whole family. Nice activities for kids which includes games, trampolines and great swimming facilities. Good security and one feels safe and relaxed inside!

Booking online is essential on busy days. we arriver at 4am 1st Jan 2023 already there was 84 cards ahead of us. staff opened earlier which was super nice of them checkout time is at 5pm for 6pm. The river was made bigger and so nice less over crowding with the tubes. Tubes are available to hire which is allot of fun. this is a nice family's venue no load music boxes, no drunkards its just good clean fun for the whole family. i sadly again did not take many photos as we were so busy swimming playing games ect.

Day visitors quickly managed at entrance and helpful, efficient parking attendants got us situated quickly. Facilities were cleaned throughout the very busy day we visited. Picnic areas were clean with loads of bins for easy disposal. My first visit and definitely not last. Great place for a braai and swimming (pool or river are both great options).

I would give the 5th 🌟 but unfortunately some of the staff's warm and friendly suits was just not worn. The kindest person was the guy at the toilet sadly. But as far as venue goes I give safety and security an up.

This is one of the best camping sites I have visited in a long time. The ablutions and other facilities are top notch and the caravan sites are big and level.

Lovely family friendly venue for weekends away, camping or day visits. The place provides visitors with lovely grassy area that has a number of trees which provides just enough shade. The pool is big enough to accommodate all the guests without them feeling as if it is crowded. I assume that the water comes from the river as it is very refreshing. There is a pool for babies and toddlers which is near a well kept play area which is fenced off to protect the young children playing there. De Hollandsche Molen is worth every cent paid at the gate.

Came for the day visit but the entrance was the worst. Allowing people to jump the queue and allowing double queues. We got to the queue at 07:00 and people who arrived at 07:50 got inside before us. Definitely not coming back again

  • 3/5 Ferial M. 3 months ago on Google New
Process to get in needs to be relooked. Cash and web paid tickets all wait in the same line. When the queue to get in got to long "late comers" created a second line and caused chaos. There is only 1 toilet for all day visitors. With 5 cubicles for females. Dj should play for the crowd not for himself. Pool was lovely . Weather great. Had a great time.

Awesome place just the ladies toilets are disgusting.. I had 2 ask someone to ask a cleaner to please empty the sanitary bin as it was over flowing and laying on the floor... She said she would clean but when I went in again it was still the same... 2 little ladies toilets for so many ladies.. Had to wait like 15 min just to use the loo and majority of the people where elderly ladies... Other than that a awesome place will definitely visit again...

Really great resort, but given the wind in Western Cape, didn't really like the rule of not being able to put up windbreakers. It was excessively windy Christmas day, so we ended up leaving early coz we could not put up the covering for the wind we had. Really something to consider accomodating guests for considering the considerable amount of wind we have in the summer.

Good experience we stay in the caravan park overnight. There was just a lot of midgets and leaves but after all its during Autumn so I can quite understand that.

It is a wonderful family orientated space. Lots of activities for the kids and parents too. I absolutely LOVED it. Thank you to Nicl and staff for all the effort, it was an amazing 5 day experience.

We were there as day visitors. Ample swimming areas, parking is a bit of a pain as you have to park and then carry all belongings to whichever spot is open, the resort fills up really quickly so it's best to go early to ensure entry. All in all, was a lovely day.

Beautiful place, spacious place with lots of braai spots, beautiful grass area with lots of pools filled with river water, well controlled area, atmosphere is awesome and price wise is on par.

Was really lovely. Lovely place to be. My only suggestion, which is difficukt to manage, but hopefully create awareness, is to put signs up in the mens toilets, to please lift the seats when urinating, not mess on the floor either. It is simply respect for others sharing, irrespective of how they conduct themselves at their own there own homes. But will love to camp again.

We camped for my son's special birthday celebration. The Office staff were awesome in grouping my family together. They were prompt in emailing my husband who put the family camp together with, with info up to the day our weekend camp began. We had an awesome time.

The resort itself is idyllic and relaxing. Our experience was ruined by the staff at the gate. In particular, Trevor, the security guard. A very confrontational and aggressive man. I was sensing racist undertones. I won’t get into specifics, but I was asking another staff member questions regarding extra guests and he inserted himself into the conversation very abruptly and rudely. The rest of the staff didn’t speak much but they stare you down with a sort of gang mentality. It was a very bizarre experience. I felt as if I was at a police station as opposed to being a paying guest at a holiday resort. We love this place, but we will not be returning due solely to the fact that Trevor is under the impression that he owns it and can treat people how he wishes. I spent a lot of money to be here and I don’t expect to be treated like a second class citizen by a security guard.

It's a great venue but a hassle to unload your car and cooler boxes if you are a day visitor and the pools don't cater for senior citizens. Please consider our seniors they have been supporting you for decades they also enjoy a good swim and don't need to injure themselves getting in and out of the pools. Please address this issue.

Lovely place, lots of open space for people to picnic and lounge. The pool is nice and big, but filled with river water. More than enough parking space and braai spots for those who want to make use of them. Overall really lovely views and vibes.

I loved camping here! Beautiful views & it's so peaceful. The facilities were always clean & they have security guards patrolling at night which made us feel at ease. We were very impressed by the cleanliness & safety of De Hollandsche Molen. We will definitely be back.

Great weekend away at the chalets. Great for group incl kids. Beautiful flora and river, friendly staff and clean facility. One issue is the Olympic size swimming pool that is not surrounded by fencing as per SABS regulations. Luckily the chalets are a bit of a walk from the pool. Will definitely will be back.

We wanted to book for Easter but was told it's fully booked. Also to book there you have to become a member and to become a member, you need to camp there at least 3 times and only during the week. If there are no complaints about you, you'll become a member. It's a beautiful place to camp and I would love to become a member 😊

Magical place, we've been twice and can't wait to go again. Stayed in the chalets which are super clean, neat and well equipped. Comfortable, clean bedding. Highly recommend for a fun family getaway, our kids had the best time : )

The entrance staff ruined our day! They were horribly rude and aggressive and completely difficult towards us. The venue manager allows it all. Without going into detail, the racism we experienced was rather blatant! I will never return again!
