Hidden gem a little bit off the main roads. The location was just beautiful and very peaceful, this lodge is the perfect place to relax and enjoy your stay in Stellenbosch. The room has been clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Thomas and the hosts have been super lovely and helpful. We can absolutely recommend this place and would stay there again any time!

Frank was absolutely lovely! He made my husband and I feel so very welcome. The breakfast is spectacular, so much to choose from as well as beautifully prepared and served. The views are breathtakingly gorgeous and such a gem. There is a pool, a jacuzzi, bikes and you can even take a little hike/walk around. The braai area is really nice with such lovely views and inside is an area for guests to relax, have a drink, or even just read a book. I had so much fun with the board games and darts. The fireplace kept us warm as well as the air conditioning. We will definitely be back soon!

1. We booked and stayed 7 days due to reading up on the great reviews! And in our case the same apply, beautiful peaceful and relaxation is the first impressions. 2. The Cabin was clean upper echelon and spacious with a cute kitchenette very spacious bathroom, firm brand new Kingsize bed 🛌 😴 to snooze without distraction. 3. The honesty bar in the lounge area with a great fireplace looks out on the wonderful surroundings and includes a braai area. 4. A huge shout out to Helene, Kobus, Frank Noeleen and the others! 5. A must visit and a huge 5 star 🌟

The Log Cabin is incredible! My boyfriend and I stayed over for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our host was super accommodating. The rooms were sparkling clean. The amenities and facilities were great. We were spoilt by delicious breakfasts. Would highly recommend staying at the Log Cabin Cabin. Do treat yourself to a wine tasting at the neighbouring wine farms as well.

What can I say, few times have I felt as relaxed as I did at the Log Cabin. A small hotel nestled and hidden among the vineyards of the Stellenbosch. Already from our arrival we breathed in an air of peace and tranquility. Few rooms all with their own theme and very large. We got the barrel room. The wine present at the 'honesty bar is enjoyable. Mention for the rosé. Friendly and attentive staff, Frank is a great person and very kind as well as an excellent griller. Special mention for the cats who look forward to the cuddles present in the communal lounge. Without a shadow of a doubt one of our best stays. Thank you

Great for a relaxing weekend or a quick getaway from the busy city. The kingsize bed is super comfortable. Breakfast and braai experience is a must.

Very good place situated near wine areas and farm areas for those that are inlove with vintage wine and other alcoholic beverages this is the place to visit especially good for tourist attractions, with good service and nice rooms.

I have never received such 5 star treatment in a while. The place is wonderful, therapeutic and peaceful. Unfortunately I stayed for only one night, and recommend the Log Cabin when in Stellenbosch or Cape Town. Helene’s hospitality deserves a 10 star!

Beautiful scenery and the most wonderful staff. I can’t say enough about how lovely the staff is! There are wine farms you can walk or bike to as well. We loved the hot tub, the braai, the breakfast and the room was comfortable. The log cabin lounge is such a cozy place in the evening. It’s a bit remote so it’s great if you have your own car. We used to Uber during our visit and could get a car within 15 minutes. The Uber drivers don’t make much money driving to a remote area to pick you up so make sure you tip!

The most beautiful place in the world. A lot of nature in the middle of the vineyards. Big and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast and optional dinner. I will come back.

Absolutely Amazing Space , Neat and Clean , love the Views , Hospitality is on Point, I trust they will get the Business they Deserve.

On arrival this place looked very nice. Bar area, vineyard views, and a nice pool. Unfortunately, that is where my good review ends. We arrived to check in with only dogs to greet us. After phoning, someone came to us and proceeded to take us to a single room with 1 bed. We explained we'd booked a 2 bedroom unit for the 3 of us, and there must be a mix-up. We were then bounced around from person to person before being told we would have to go somewhere else as there had been a mix-up. Since we'd booked 6 months before. This was rather disappointing, and it ruined our trip, which had so far been quite good. The lack of ownership and diligence by the owner to let this happen and leave us in this situation after we had booked and paid 6 months before is what upset me the most. Would not recommend this place due to this situation.

This experience started as 5 star till our last 2 minutes at the Log Cabin. You will have your own personal guides on your hikes/walks. Simba and Roxy are just the most lovely. I enjoyed them most. The hot tub is AMAZING but I'd suggest putting it on earlier and mixing the water so it becomes warm. Breakfast was a delight. The scenery is breathtaking and just the best I've seen in Stellenbosch. Cobus and Lorraine are great. Friendly and warm. Lorraine's kindness and warmth will definitely bring us back. There is however another lady working there who isn't warm and doesn't make one feel comfortable. We had packed our car and had been taking photos. The book said checkout is at 11 but the room was already empty of our stuff at 10. I then saw her motioning abruptly with her arms above her head like what's happening from the room where we were quite a distance from it. I then showed a thumbs up to show we were done. She then shouted check out is at 10. And I said we checked out and she shouted back Where's the key and I checked with my partner thinking we had left it in the room. I'd presume either way there would be a spare key. The manner we were spoken to was so horrible and what was incredibly amazing ended up terrible and really hurtful. We paid for our items at the honesty bar and returned the key. The lady then said she used the spare key and that we were welcome to take photos suddenly very friendly. My partner said she was very rude to us but it's fine and we left. It was really not necessary to be so rude if the book isn't updated should someone wanted to make sure of check out. Also shouting at people across a distance is so wrong as if we had ran away with their keys. What a sad end to what I thought was our best experience in Stellenbosch thus far.

The Log Cabin is an excellent destination with loads of room to keep yourself, family and friends entertained. There are limited rooms available but it's perfect for a small group 12 people. The facilities were clean and well looked after. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. My only recommendation would be to put a bench in the bathroom and non-slip mat in the shower.

An absolute gem getaway. Neat tidy and awesome service. Great to escape from the citylife, no TV so perfect to connect with nature, go sleep with the crickets orchestra and wake up to a stunning sunrise and the cacophony of bird sounds. Priceless. Lots to do in the surrounding area as well..wine tasting, fine dining and loads of outdoor activities.

Superbe place, great hosting with very nice amenities. Seems like you rent a cottage for your selves. The scenery is breathtaking!

One of the most beautiful stays in South Africa. Our hostess was accommodating and open-minded. Her dogs were very well behaved and a highlight for us. There is a hot tub, the possibility to grill on the sundeck and an honesty bar. You feel at home from the first moment. You just can't get enough of the view and the ambiance. See you next time!
