The
hotel
restaurant
serves
pretty
decent
food.
For
the
price,
the
rooms
can
afford
to
be
better
maintained.
Our
tap
and
shower
heads
were
a
little
wonky
(water
was
spraying
everywhere),
and
walls
were
pretty
thin,
so
we
could
hear
neighbouring
guests
entering/exiting
their
room,
sneezing,
coughing,
talking
etc.
During
our
stay,
a
large
group
of
guests
were
also
staying
in
the
hotel
as
part
of
a
company
retreat,
and
they
were
up
until
2/3am
and
very
noisy.
Thin
walls
weren’t
of
any
help
here.
Service
was
okay
—
some
staff
seemed
happy
to
be
working
there
and
were
hospitable,
but
a
handful
were
idle.
Lobby
Bar
staff
didn’t
seem
to
know
what
time
the
bar
was
closing
—
super
long
pause
before
saying
“11pm”,
reception
said
midnight.
Go
figure.
(p.s.
it’s
okay
to
say
you
don’t
know
and
need
to
check)
Here’s
what
left
a
bad
taste—quite
literally—in
our
mouths:
we
wanted
to
head
to
a
restaurant
in
the
area
for
dinner,
and
one
of
the
reception
staff
(to
his
credit)
recommended
another
one.
Relying
on
his
recommendation,
we
went
to
the
restaurant.
It
was
overall
an
extremely
disappointing
experience,
and
one
of
our
dishes,
a
kebab,
had
a
sheet
of
plastic
in
it.
I
am
not
leaving
a
review
for
the
restaurant
because
it
is
new,
clearly
family-run,
and
the
team
(an
elderly
couple)
seemed
like
honest
and
earnest
folks.
Communication
was
difficult
and
we
were
famished
and
just
wanted
to
return
to
Rooms
to
have
a
proper
dinner—it
was
almost
10pm
by
then.
When
we
shared
our
feedback
with
the
reception
staff
who
recommended
the
restaurant,
he
said
the
plastic
sheet
is
a
piece
of
vegetable.
We’re
reasonable
people:
we
don’t
make
a
fuss,
and
we
don’t
leave
negative
reviews
because
we
get
a
kick
out
of
it.
But
we
certainly
do
not
appreciate
being
told
what
was
in
our
mouths.
What
vegetable,
good
sir,
is
transparent
and
crinkles?
