Ours was an after funeral drink and the staff were very welcoming and observant - they noticed my dog and gave him a bowl of water - much appreciated. Certainly go back on my next visit.

Lovely pub. Kronenberg on tap. Very empty tho. Such a shame! I'm sure this place will be brilliant, once they finish the fake bat flu scam👍🏻😎👍🏻😎👍🏻

Had a great night, live band, danced my little socks off...... Until hubby got stung for a parking ticket within the pub carpark picking me up. Just a warning, sign in your reg as you go into the pub if you are going to be longer than 15mins. Signage not that obvious in carpark 🧐

Quite busy due to old town festival, bar made most of it by having bbq, slide and live band. Very enjoyable afternoon, plenty of staff to ease rhe queues.

Absolute hidden gem. Lovely garden to the front. Great value Thai Menu. Pretty quiet on a nice sunny Friday, pretty good COVID-19 measures. Felt slot safer than old town.

Always a great night at the Royal Oak. Staff are friendly, polite and attentive. The new Kitchen team never disappoint, with a great choice of snacks and food to choose from. A big thank you to the management team of Sharry and Megan!

The staff are lovely and friendly but the drinks are woeful. I do like a nice ale or craft beer but alas, there was none of that here. It all seemed to be lagers and ciders. The nearest thing I could get was a bottle of Newcastle brown from the fridge cabinet. My other half likes a Sauvignon Blanc so I ordered a glass of that. It was awful. It tasted like £2.99 a bottle stuff. The pub was clean and tidy and the toilets were clean. The pub has it's own car park. It's just the drinks that let it down.

Visited for Drag Queen Bingo and enjoyed the food immensely. Face hurt from laughter and tummy full of delicious Filipino food, delicious. Can't wait to go back and enjoy ourselves again. Service superb, Freyja, by far, the best bar staff they have. Friendly and efficient.

Very hard working lady behind the bar, very nice and polite. Lovely fillipino and British food! 10/10 would recommend. Great value for money. Very clean establishment.

Nice cozy pub, drinks at the bar but the hidden gem, personally, is the filipino menu that they serve. Good menu to choose from and once we tasted the food, it was authentic as it comes and tasted really good. Price was reasonable and they had a nice vibe inside. One caveat though is that once you order food, you are obliged to order drinks from the bar. Parking space just at the side of the pub and you have to enter the car reg at the bar. They have outside seats to use. One thing that also made an impact on me was the toilet was spotless. They had a sunday roast buffet but we opted to order from the filipino menu.

Parking possible (sign in at the pub to avoid a ticket). Filipina food; I recommend the Adobo fried rice! Kitchen and pub operates separately so drinks are to be bought from the pub side. Not much dining tables and deafening on evenings because of the music. Food wise, excellent.

Didn't eat here. But the staff were friendly, full of locals, who are also friendly. Very clean place and well decorated.
