Visited for breakfast. The food was spot on and all cooked fresh. Tea and coffee and roast. Amazing staff that were great. Add that to the food and why go anywhere else for a full English. I will be back.

Quite possibly the worst meal I’ve EVER had…. Gamin was ok, egg over done, peas were dark brown and pale green 🤮 Ordered the peanut butter sundae and it’s was DISGUSTING!!! The churros were as solid as a brick hardly any ice cream in the Sunday maybe three bits of banana which were black and a little tiny teaspoon of peanut butter absolutely disgusting. The dessert in the pictures hadn’t been eaten that is literally how much was in it 😡

My fourth day, breakfasts delicious, and plentiful, friendly staff until this morning 29th Jan when the woman waiting tables brought a breakfast with 2 items I didn't order. She told me I had ordered them, aggressively insisted I ordered them! She has no customer service training whatsoever. A smile, an apology would have been simple. Horrible woman. All the other staff over four days were fantastic - and they smile!

Staff are friendly, tables are in good distance with one another. Unfortunately, the food is a letdown. Our order probably had taken more than an hour to arrived and they are all dry. Probably will take sometime for me to go back to this place.

A pleasant dining experience despite understandable missing items. Only query was serving sizes. Ordered one of the Christmas prosecca drinks. The serving size differed greatly to the menu. Waitress said she would check with Manager but no response. Sadly not my first experience of what looks like undeserving in Whitbread restaurants.

This was so disappointing blue cheese sauce was not blue nor was the béarnaise both like vinegar other two tables also complained. I then ordered the pepper which took so long my median rate steak was cooking and getting cold. All That was offered to me was the $2 pound off for the sauce. No chief or manager came to see us or offer his apologise we were left with a young waitress saying I’m so sorry Will never be back and will Tell my local family to also not go back

Thought we would pop in for a bite to eat before dinner time so it wouldn't be busy. They weren't busy at that time however, whether they were short of staff or new the service was not good at all. No one came for drinks order, had to order when we ordered the food as been waiting a while. Food came which was lovely, requested a jug of sauce twice and it didn't arrive. Have up and asked for the bill, then again as no one acted on it. Shame because I would have given 5 stars. Also the first time at this beefeater

Shocking, food is below average even with the discounted price, staff did their best I'd imagine but were very overrun, it felt like only 2 People were serving the whole restaurant we waited over half an hour for the starters then another 45 mins for the mains after the starters had been cleared. I wouldn't say my expectations were particularly high in the first place but it didn't even live up to cheap and cheerful unfortunately. Don't want to knock the staff that were there they were polite and helpful just overwhelmed. Yeah and the food was just not very good, 5 of us ate, 3 dishes were pretty much cold and the other 2 had clearly just come out of the microwave. I don't know why I expected the steak to be good even though it is called the beefeater, but it was way over cooked even after asking for it rare it was absolutely very well done. Disappointing even with quite low expectations.

Food and service both excellent. I only gave a reduced score for atmosphere as my visit was late afternoon and it was very quiet.

Had a large party meal here on a day that they were short staffed. Can't fault the staff for their kindness and how helpful they were but the food took far too long to come out and some dishes were overcooked and not what was described. The overall price we paid did not reflect the quality of the food delivered. Messed up the bill, adding on extra drinks that were not ordered. Probably won't eat there again as there are other restaurants within a similar budget that cater more to large party meals in terms of service, waiting times and quality of food.

Reasonably priced and really good food. Plenty of menu choices for adults and children. Staff are friendly and approachable.

My husband and I choose to travel to Corey's Mill Beefeater rather than go to our closest branch, due to the outstanding service and quality of food at Corey's Mill. Staff are always welcoming, friendly, helpful and accommodating no matter how busy they are. Kitchen staff are always eager to please with the quality of food sent out. Restaurant Managers Ellen and John always go above and beyond, to make sure we have the best possible experience when we visit.

Good food, nice and clean, decent quality for a Beefeater as ever… exceptional service from Andrea really stood out… going above and beyond in a busy restaurant this morning yet never stopping smiling! Thanks!

Was once a regular for breakfast here. Attended today at 10.15am. I was expecting it to be fairly busy as it is school holidays but decided to chance it without booking as we were passing by. No greeting or welcome from the “host” who just said “have you booked?” We told him we hadn’t and he responded “it’s a no then” and turned on his heel. Totally understand it being fully booked, no issue with that, but some basic manners to customers aren’t much to ask given that they do usually take walk-ins. Went to the new cafe at Sainsbury's instead - the food and customer service there were brilliant and will be continuing to go there in future.

Very slow service, went there with 4 kids in the summer holidays and there were no activity sheets or anything for kids. The service took 45 mins just to get our drinks and take our order then another 45 mins for food to come out, we only just managed to have our meal and leave with 2 mins to spare on the 3 hour time limit. Food was acceptable but not worth the time we had to wait. Won't be coming back.

Great staff but disappointed with the fries they were very hard and didn't enjoy the batter on my fish. We will visit again soon hopefully the fish and chips have improved.

  • 2/5 Anne R. 3 months ago on Google New
Pretty sure the fish I had was re-heated from last night. The fish inside the very over cooked batter was so dry it was non existent. Service was excellent, if we had more time we would have complained but we were in a rush and the meal took a while to come

I had the lunch menu fish and chips cooked by Jon and Tom in the kitchen. I have to say, bloody excellent. Perfect light and very crispy batter, delicious. Well cooked tasty white fish. Perfect fries ( a treat from the conventional chips) , just a delicious meal. Piping hot, nice portion size and not too long a wait either. Highly recommend. Thank you both.

Worst experience ever! Rude waiters/waitresses. Arrived for a booking at 6pm, someone was on our table, told us that we just had to wait! Tried to sit us in the reception area. Didn’t get drinks until after 45 minutes of being at the restaurant. Food took 1.5 hours to come! Didn’t clear plates. We had to get dessert menus ourselves. Everyone else in the restaurant hadn’t had any of their food, was waiting for over 1 hour. All customers were speaking among themselves, several customers asked what was going on and they were so rude, said I don’t know how long the wait is! A couple walked out as they had enough like all of us!! Asked for more drinks, didn’t come! All waitresses/waiters hanging around!! Terrible service, will not be returning!! Food was cold and very dry. When we left, at 9pm, 3 hours of being at the restaurants for ONLY mains, they didn’t even apologize and didn’t think they had done anything wrong!!

Very good, especially the breakfast, and the deal they did in the afternoon before 5 pm. Very clean. Very convenient for the hospital. Only down side, if you were walking down to the Beefeater from the start of the car park area nearest the hospital end, the path/road is extremely rough. My daughter, walking down with crutches, found it har going, and I damaged the wheel of my rollator on it. Otherwise very good.

I been here for dinner. The place is pretty good. We had a reservation, as it is easier to ensure you have a table. The parking is ample and free for 4 hours. The food is great, but pricey for my normal standard. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They could use a bit more cleaning, as both our table and the highchair had sticky residues, hence the 4 stars. I would recommend, only for their lovely chunky chips. Normal chips are free refills.

Had not been to a beefeater for many years, it didn't dissapoint. This was one of the best meals i have enjoyed in a while and served by a really welcoming waitress Nicola who was extremely friendly and very efficient and helpful. Great service, fantastic food very tasty and good portion sizes. I had the steak with prawns and calamari with triple cooked chips. Nachos to start to share and a sundae for desert. Will definitely be back.

We didn't enjoy our food at all. Ended up getting our money back for one of the meals as it was that bad. We've been coming here for years although it had been a while. It has really gone downhill. I would not eat here again.

This place was better in the past. Many parts of the menu were not available e.g. grilled vegetables, my steak was medium-rare rather than medium-well done as I asked, ribs were dry; long waiting time even though around three tables were occupied; the amount on the bill was wrong and corrected when I asked. Even though we have a few more 40% off vouchers, this place is not worth visiting. Massively overpriced, average quality, and Beefeater has the rule that you can have either chips or salads to your meat. Unlimited salads is the thing of the past too. It's sad that this place is slowly dying.

VERY LONG WAIT AND POOR QUALITY XMAS DINNER! Waited over an hour and a half for starters to be served. Two of the wait staff were very friendly and professional. Long wait for drinks to be served after order taken. Waited two hours for the main course. Manager was rude and aggressive and unwilling to give any money back on our meals but did eventually come to a compromise. Ruined our Christmas and tried to say there was nothing wrong with the food when there definitely was. Roast potatoes were raw in the middle and inedible- asked for fresh ones and were still just as bad. Vegetables were hard. Lots of leftover food left on plates. Not many hot drinks/beverages available despite being on the menu.

Avoid. Menu is not as Advertised. Beef Wellington is not a beef Wellington, its grilled beef on a slice of puff pastry. Sunday beef roast not as described. Beef is apparently roasted first (so says the manager) and then grilled! Manager only admitted to this once pressed and shown the burnt marks on the beef. Beef was Overcooked. Menu says served medium. Had I wanted grilled beef I would have ordered a steak. Menu said served with cabbage. No cabbage on my plate. Raised concerns with manger that food was not as described, all she could do was walk away. Refused to address my complaint. Further to this the staff lie! We had booked a table for 2.30. We arrived 30 minutes early and told we had to wait at the bar as no tables were available. We were moved to the bar and ordered our drinks. What the staff did not know is that I am not stupid. I can read a 2d map and correlate table position. I could see I was allocated table 21 which was indeed busy but table 22 and table 13 were both free and unused. They kept us waiting the full 30 minutes. Only seating us at table 22 once I raised my query 30 minutes later. Table 13 remained unoccupied the full duration of the meal. The truth is they could not be bothered. Having told them my children were starving they still kept us waiting regardless. Totally uncaring. Totally unacceptable. Will never ever return. In addition as a local health care practitioner I will share my experience with as many people as possible. Avoid this establishment at all cost.

Beefeaters in general need new carpets and fresh lick of paint. Staff friendly and don't hassle you. Food is not bad and fast turn around and have large seating areas.

  • 3/5 Zoe S. 1 year ago on Google
Having a printed list of all the items they didn't have was helpful but rather a long list considering we had booked a 2.30 lunch. Staff were friendly and helpful but as we were offered a choice of how to have the lamb (rare / medium etc) it was quite overcooked. Otherwise quality was reasonable. Sorry I couldn't be more positive Beefeater.

Friendly service but some items of food is not to standard. Only 1 kind of pastry., toaster not working too well. Vegetarian sausages were not palatable. Mushrooms not cooked properly.

I had breakfast at Beefeater today. There was a nice atmosphere right from the entrance. Monika welcomed me very nicely. She was very polite. The breakfast I ordered was delicious. Everything was warm, fresh and nicely presented. Dominika the breakfast chef did it professionally. I recommend poached eggs. The best I've ever had. Hungry man, do not think about which restaurant to choose. It's Beefeater !!! I will definitely be back soon. Thank you

We went for father's day so it was obviously quite busy so there was a slight wait for the mains but not too bad. Our tables had ketchup splodges welded to them which was a bit off putting especially as we were there for lunch so I thought it would have had to have been from yesterday... luckily I always have anti bac wipes on me so I cleaned it. My food was nice as usual at Beefeater, steak & ale pie, my only gripe is the peas are always really bland, maybe petit pois would be nicer.. everyone else enjoyed their dishes as well, a few of us had steaks & kids had goujons & halloumi fries. Overall It was really nice here. Thanks 😊

I've been to many beef eaters and this one was not very good. I was sat waiting with my partner for 45 minutes before we were asked if we're ready to order. The restaurant was not busy so there's no excuse for the delay. Once we finished are starters we kept waiting again for another half hour until we gave up and asked a waitress if she could get our mains ready and some more drinks. So there service wasn't the best and the food wasn't incredible either. I don't mind restaurants using frozen food sometimes you can't tell but you could definitely tell there food was frozen.

I have called in here a few times just for a drink which is coors shandy and excellent every time. The staff are all friendly and very polite and the bar is cosy and set away from the restaurant making it a nice quiet place to sit and chill out. I haven't tried the food yet but I have seen plenty of happy faces leaving the restaurant area so it must be pretty good. This beefeater is not on my doorstep but I keep going back so I would recommend this one for a visit.

I've been here a few times now. Staff are great, plenty of banter, hard working and willing to help when they can. Had a 20 min slot between work appointments and they managed to still get me fed and watered, with a busy restaurant. I've visited many up and down the country and will easily say, the staff here are the very best.

Prompt service, kinda mixed up parts of the order - skinny chip came with chunky, medium rare of the 3 ordered one came back medium, otherwise a good meal out with the kids.
