Good coffee shop for early lunching anytime cheaper and better customer service

Great place Hot Choc great but a bit sweet,one less spoon of choc ,cake very good.Could do with more staff,sadly greedy owners dont care

Unbelievably slow, despite plenty of staff. Need to limit the menu and take people’s names like other chains so they can actually track orders rather than guessing and making it up as they go along. Waited 15 mins despite there being 5 staff , then get the wrong drink.

Outrageous service today . I stood next in the Q to be served for over 10mins while the 2 members of staff fulfilled online orders cover and over !!!! The Q was growing and they both carried on doing the orders. You should be serving the customers who are there in store first . No food in rye counter like always , limited choice like always . The Costa at Roaring Meg needs to up its game

Honestly the worst Costa to go to. Doesn’t matter what time or day you visit, the queue is always outside, your waiting over 10mins. Smokers right next to the door so you’re always breathing in the fumes whilst you’re queuing. Staff are relaxed, never an apology for the wait and on top of that they are always making coffee with the wrong milk. Definitely needs senior management to review the ins-tore management and staffing

With about 6 staff there is complete disorganisation. Queuing for 15 mins with only 10 people infront of us at the start and still 5 ahead of us now. Seems food is being delivered with table service. Slow production. Really slow

Waited almost 20 minutes in queue only 6 people in front of me but only 2 staff serving. Flat white was like slop when it did arrive. Tables left uncleaned and toilets disgraceful, the girls are doing their best but management needs firing. If you have the option of going elsewhere then do

Good cafe with quick service and nice hot drinks. Freshly baked croissants and other pastries. Ordered take away so can't comment on the atmosphere much but busy so must be good!

Nice coffee. I little dirty but very busy so I think we can let the staff off at this time of year. Coffee was tasty I had an americano and can't complain. Mrs had a latte and seemed very happy. We both had sausage roll which was hot and tasty although we both agreed lacked butter. Feel like I'm being overly negative but we had a nice time was in there close to an hour sipping our drinks and no one bothered us. We will go again!

All empty tables are left with dirty cups/ table trays on it. No place to seat at the clean table. Very poor service. Late coffee was not even warm. No recommend.

The service was great and the coffee was good, but the queue time was quite long, management could do with adding staff on weekends. Update 2023 - pace has picked up and queues diminish quicker than previously. Coffee was well prepared and presented, though it was fairly busy we were able to find a table and sit. A selection of both m&s food and costa own brand is on offer. We opted for the tried and tested toasties, and a Victoria sponge Muffin!

Great coffee but why does it always seem to take ages to make & serve a coffee. This fact is the same when you go to Star*****!

Love the toasties and love a Costa coffee, service can be slow at times but it does get very busy.

Always a good selection of food and drink plus friendly helpful stall,a really nice Costa to visit

Always felt and been unclean (floor/tables/ handles) on the couple of times we've visited. Especially the disabled toilet. I thought a mention to head office would make a difference on our next visit, but sadly not. Also, it is difficult to use a wheelchair in the cafe as the tables are so close together.

I visit costa nearly every day I'm impressed with all the staff especially Camilia who is always very friendly nothing is to much trouble always makes us laugh and always goes above and beyond.

A really nice friendly worker called Camille really stood out the day I went. She wished me a happy a happy Eid as she noticed the henna patterns on my hand. She went around and asked customers if they were happy with their coffee which doesn't happy in these kinds of places. Very polite and respectable towards all customers.

Lovely, hard working staff who always stay friendly and positive despite constantly being significantly undermanned. Good quality coffee, good food range. Collection/app ordering frequently not available due to constant lack of manpower. Cafe ambience is awful, as the music cannot be heard, people chatter is horrific as everyone seems to yell at each other, the constant din of the blenders is horrible. Costa needs to invest in some sound proofing to make the cafe area bearable, and please invest in your payroll budgets and give these people the manpower support they need. Opening hours are limited, and a town as busy and 'open all hours' as it is, desperately needs to be open until around 10pm or later.
