A lovely walk,brings back memories for me,ideal place to walk your dog,can take your children to the park,and even buy a coffee,and free parking this always helps,so if you are on a low budget and want to take the kids for a picnic it won't cost you a fortune to visit the park.

What a great outdoor space. Has long circle lanes around the lake. Amazing lake with great view, some water surface activities available. It has a few big car parks, with wheel supports so you wouldn't get stuck in mud. If you're in for a nice active time out or maybe just for a lovely slow walk, this it's definitely the place to go.

Pleasant park in Stevenage not far from Roaring Meg. Why not pop over and walk through unexpected quiet woodland to the lake further north. Bluebells can be dramatic in spring. Only a couple of miles north to south. About half mile wide at most.

Free car park. What's not to like? Gets full quickly on hot days as everyone wants to go to the park.
