I must say off the top that the food was actually hot! That’s something you don’t get at restaurants much anymore. It was also fresh and both the wings and fish were cooked just right. The potato salad was also decent.

I placed my order online and waited in line 20 mins before I got my order. The order was cold and the manager wouldn’t remake my food or give me a refund. I certainly don’t recommend this place, there’s zero customer service. Response to the stupid owner: Very mature of you. I hope you bankrupt.

Stopped by there on 3/9/2023 for a 3 piece grilled flounder meal with double order of fried okra. The okra was good/bussin (only ate few pieces b/c they were fried— the other veggies offered didn’t seem appealing…need a full green veggie besides side salad) but I do not know what in the world happen to the flounder. As you view the pic, I did not receive flounder fillets, it was more like flounder pieces torn apart or ran thru a blender for couple seconds. Had I checked my food prior to leaving, I’d request money back. Taste wise— it was just ok. This was my 2nd visit (1st visit order fried flounder—& received whole fillets verses shredded/ broken apart pieces). However, I’ve reduced my fried foods consumption, so guess I’ll go to Captain D’s down the street from Ameen’s to get a FULL grilled flounder fillet! 2stars for the okra! **In response to Ameen: I’ve worked ALL day— stopped by your establishment for dinner and went home. I didn’t see the mess until after I got home! You or your employees should have ensured that mess would not be placed in a to-go box and sold to a customer! I hope that you contacted them with the same vigor as you did me to address this issue. We (customers) are allowed to leave reviews of our experiences with businesses, and you (or any other business) do not get to dictate when/whether or not we can leave a review! I love that the food is cooked fresh!!! It was delicious, hot and crispy but I don’t think it’s catfish that they’re serving. I think it’s the same fish that most wing spots are trying to pass as catfish

The food was very fresh after we ordered. Definitely a place I will order from again and recommend.

I ordered the fish platter that included hush puppies, cole slaw and fries for less than $17.00. It was fresh because it was prepared "cook to go".The price was fair given the freshly prepared food and customer service. 8/10

First time eating there. Food was great! I'm a Texas resident, so I'll definitely be eating there again.

With your food it's hit or miss, you never know to expect. Sometimes it's good other times it's not fit for human consumption. On two occasions my fish was fried so hard it was dried out under the batter. I informed the manager and he replied to me "I don't see anything wrong with it...duh I'm spending my hard earned money, so it's obvious to me you're not concerned about customer satisfaction...!!! Be weary of your food order and keep your fingers crossed.

Love this location! Customer service is always great from placing my order to paying inside. I’ve always encountered kind employees. My order is always correct and food made fresh. I get the flounder sandwich combo & love there hushpuppies! Keep up the great customer service!!!
