Subway station

đź‘Ťđź‘Ť It sounds a little weird, but the subway was my favorite part of Stockholm. There were a lot of stations that were painted with gorgeous art. We spent our last afternoon doing a self guided subway art tour. We probably went to 5-7 different stops to look at the art and it was better than art museum... People often mention station, metro, Stockholm, green, line,

It sounds a little weird, but the subway was my favorite part of Stockholm. There were a lot of stations that were painted with gorgeous art. We spent our last afternoon doing a self guided subway art tour. We probably went to 5-7 different stops to look at the art and it was better than art museum in my opinion. Google will provide you with plenty of stops that have art at them. Other than the art, the subway system is pretty extensive and a very easy way to get around the city. We used it as our main mode of transportation mixed a little bit with the tram and buses

I love the artistic decoration of this station. Full station is in underground. Very large, busy and complex. You will face difficulties to find the direction. But there is information support staffs are in every corner with green uniform to help you.

The station opened on November 24, 1957 in connection with the commissioning of the line between Slussen and Hötorget. The station is located under the Clara Church and Åhléns City department store. The station for the green and red lines and connecting tracks was built by digging a large ditch in the center of Stockholm and then covering it with a concrete roof. However, the part below Clara's church is a blown-up tunnel. The architect was Gunnar Lene. However, the Blue Line station was built in its entirety as a blown up tunnel a few years later. The station has platforms on three different levels. The two upper levels are at a depth of 8.5 and 14 meters, respectively, and are served by green and red lines. The upper level is served by trains heading north on the green line and trains heading south on the red line, and vice versa by plane below. This solution allows you to switch between the green and red lines in opposite directions right across the platform without going up the stairs. Those looking to switch between the red and green lines in the same direction will make it more suitable at Slussen and Gamla stan metro stations, as they have separate platforms for trains going north and south respectively. The lower level is at a depth of 26–32 meters and is served by a blue line. This part was commissioned on August 31, 1975 in connection with the opening of the blue line and is connected to other platforms by escalators, elevators and an underpass over 100 meters long with a conveyor belt called the Blue Corridor.

The central transportation hub of Stockholm is large, complex, busy and hectic. It is usually a 4/5 clean and organized. It is a 3/5 in terms of safety. Yet, it is almost always efficient. Be on the lookout for renovation work. Also, everything changes on Friday and Saturday late nights when people go and return from parties. It is wild compared to working hours. On the station you will find dining and shopping options for most tastes.

T-Centralen, the hub of the city's underground transit system, is situated in the center of Stockholm, Sweden. It is more than just a metro station. The busiest and most important transportation hub in Stockholm, it is located beneath the city's core. It serves as the point of merging for numerous metro lines, commuter trains, and bus services. The station is well known for its magnificent artwork, elaborate ceiling designs, and bedrock usage, giving it a special underground nature. As people wait for their trains, they can view the brilliant mosaics and artwork that have been installed on the platform walls, turning the station into an underground art gallery.

It is the main central station of Stockholm. It is a great place to change public transport. It has also nice place for sitting down with friends or just enjoying sometime over coffee. There are various stores, coffee shops and goodie shops. It has good connections to the airport as well.

the artwork in this metro station was amazing! worth visit although the metro in Stockholm is expansive (around 4,40 euros the single ticket). I would recommend taking the metro once and stopping in all the stations to appreciate the arrwork of this metro system! Was the only reason why we took the metro in Stockholm, just to see all this art, as all the places in the city can be reach by foot.

Tip: switch to the blue line if you want to see these.

Well maintained and organized... Lifts are in all floors... Directions are confusing to me as there are many exits.. but otherwise it's a great place

I've never seen such stupid and confusing metro. There is no plan in the metro. You don't know where is each coach heading to. Never ever Stockhlom, it was the last time I used such stupid public transportation!!!

Ein Must-See!
