👍 Even for most people who living in Stockholm, this is a Japanese restaurant, but for us, Chinese, it’s one of the best Chinese restaurants in Sweden. Really good Dim sum. We were so satisfied with the food, specially 粥. Do not miss theirs HK bakery, highly recommended! People often mention good, rice, restaurant, ordered, time, beef, rolls,

I’ve been to shogun hundreds of times for dim sum, and I’ve introduced many friends for their first experience of this authentic Hong Kong delicacy. They serve all the classics and my favourites like cheong fan, hakow, sumai and fried quei tiow. They also serve delicious crispy duck with plumb sauce. This is the only place to go for dim sum in Stockholm!

An older restaurant based on the décor and the sticky tables, but it apparently moved here about a year ago. That aside, the food was pretty spot on and quite authentic overall, but the dim sum dishes far exceeded the other two items we ordered in terms of flavour and quality. I honestly have no idea why this place even bothers with Japanese food, especially as it seems to be quite localised, since the dim sum dishes is what you want to go here for. Friendly and knowledgeable staff that made sure you inform you about which dishes would scald your mouth. Kind of pricey, but worth it.

I came here first time. My friend and I ordered sukiyaki set 329 KR which includes an egg, vegetables, rice and beef. The flavor of sukiyaki soup was good. I just expected to have ponzu sauce and sesame sauce that we usually eat with sukiyaki. Their dim sum were ok but I prefer to eat them with sauce for dimsum , not shoyu. They have no other kinds of sauce here. However their service was good. The staff has service mind and they serve food/ drinks quickly.

Went there to try their dim sum and I was NOT DISAPPOINTED - food was really good and authentic. I was only mildly disappointed that I did not get to try their rice rolls (ris pasta) or "Cheung fun" in Cantonese because I was there on a weekday - "cheung fun" is only available on weekends. Everything we ordered (8 types of dim sum) tasted so good, we left happy - even without the rice rolls! Most memorable dishes were the stir-fry flat rice noodles with beef, porridge/congee, wonton soup and wonton noodles, glutinous rice in taro leave. Service was 10/10 - friendly and food service was fast. Price is a little high but not unexpected since it is in the middle of Gamla Stan. If I live closer, I would be going there every other weekend just for the dim sum.

Many different options for dimsum. We also tried the porridge and it was amazing! Our favorite is their rice noodle rolls and fried rice noodle rolls. Dimsum is very recommended.

It's our first time here but accordingly this restaurant has been in operation for a long time in Stockholm and has recently moved from Gamla Stan. Pictures in the dim sum menu looked promising. The restaurant looked larger from the outside but is more cramped and smaller. At lunch time on a weekend, most tables were occupied. We went for the must haves - Century egg with lean meat congee - Xiaolong bao - Taro pastry - Siew Mai - Charsiew rice rolls We also ordered a pot of Chinese tea. It wasn't comfortable having steaming hot food here as there is little ventilation. Taste wise, the food has the looks but doesn't taste authentic. Most disappointing was the congee that had more salted duck egg pieces and little traces of century egg. The pork was tough. The taro pastry lacked the signature fritters and the char siew in the rice rolls was coarse. Prices are high. Service is quick and friendly. They are fast to clear finished plates. The high noise levels and feel of the restaurant and the cramped feel does bring up one's better past memories of dim sum dining in other places.

One of the two dim sum places in Stockholm. This one is a bit more expensive but that being said its located in Gamla stan. So rent should be expensive. Service is very good and staff is very fast and friendly. Don't miss out on shanghai special dumplings very yummy. Cheung fun is also good and the fried rice dumplings with filling is sweet fluffy and delicious.

Sukiyaki option with dimsum. The dimsum is out early. Sukiyaki is a bit salty. Cozy place, at a corner the street. Ok pricing

I give a generous 5 even though it's not perfect, but, its something great well worth visiting. We had many dumplings and some were among the best we ever had. The personnel is somewhat quirky and so is the interior. Is it a samurai darth vador with white cotton mustasch? it doesn't matter, because the food is awesome. Our personal favourites were the shrimp wonton, shanghainese pork dumpling and minced prawn pork shiitake. For improvement I suggest textile napkins and some guidance in how to order/eat. We ordered a lot and everything came at once, maybe we should have ordered more periodically to get them at a good tempo?

Shogun is a cozy restaurant with a fairly nice decor. I came here to have dinner so it didn't serve sushi or so I was told. I ordered the tempura udon and the tempura was a bit of a letdown but the udon noodles had a nice bounce to them and the broth felt very clean with a subtle sweet aftertaste. As a whole the dish was quite nice and I would probably order it again. I would have loved to try their Dim Sum but didn't have the empty stomach for it and i was unsure if they served it during dinner times The person taking my order was very nice and so the service was quite nice.

Summary: 10/10 Highly recommended japanese restaurant. Best Japanese I've had in Sweden so far! Whenever we travel to Stockholm it is a mandatory visit! Both the lunch time and evening have a great selection of foods. During lunch they served us a miso soup and fermented salad starter, the salad was not really my thing but I loved the soup as it is really hearty and warming. The lunch options are very worth their price. Not too expensive. I haven't tested the lunchtime yakiniku, however the one served during the evening is soooo good. Followed up by some Mango mochi ice cream which was really silky and really had that mango flavor nailed. As for the service.. 10/10 really professional and personal. Gave great recommendations and was really friendly!

Authentic Cantonese dim sum and Japanese restaurant. Reminds me of home as I haven't had good dim sums for a very long time ;-) Would love to have 肠粉 however wasn't available when I went.

Nice dimsum as always, so many options to choose. Nice staff that help us with the menu. Great location.

Not recommended. They suggested the shabushabu but it’s just pure water with baicai. It’s ridiculous to boil beef in pure water and so the beef also tastes so bad. Everything is costly so it’s even worse considering that.

The Shabu was boiled with pure water! The amount of beef and vegetables is set, although we have two people, we had only one plate of beef and one bowl of vegetables. The egg, which is the spirit of Shabu, is not included in the set. We paid extra 25kr each for two eggs. And if you can read Chinese, ĺż«č·‘!

Been searching for good southern China dumpling (steamed, soupy) after having live there. This the best in town, and they have Shanghainese soup pork dumplings! Thank you, made my day, will be back!
