Interesting site from the 19th century which is quite well preserved although there is some litter and some vandalism in the form of graffiti. The tunnels into the pits remain, but the old rock rooms that existed are unfortunately sealed. Could only find one though. Is there an old bunker left which I assume was the dynamite magazine, No. 1 on the map, which is unfortunately sealed. There is also a smaller house which may have been the old washing or nitriding house, No. 2 & 3 on the map, but could just as well be some more modern building. Fun place to visit. I was here on 2020 10 05.

It’s not Disney land. Some people might not think it deserves 5 stars but it’s a historical and ironically now, tranquil place.

Interesting place. Altough it is not big - just a couple of strucures and some of ir serves as a spot to smoke weed ;-), if you are intersted in the topic it is definitely a place to visit. There is a nice park around and a really cool swimming spot just 100-200m away. So you can plan a weekend stroll or swim and include bunkers as an educational part

Historic, and beautiful above all the lake view, the caves are secondary.
