Some places I feel instantly connected with. It's the people, the vibe, the food, and the natural wine. The minute I walked in, I fell for Bar Montan - currently the hottest drop in Stockholm's up and rising former Meatpacking District. Still a hidden gem; lucky me I got a seat at the bar without a booking because I arrived very early. Later on the restaurant was packed! Thanks to the amazing guy behind the bar for making my meal special, and so far the most exciting in Stockholm. Tucked into tastebuds-blowingly good Atlantic char with trout roe, cucumbers and peas, and the best agnello (lamb) tonnato ever. Ooooh, and a first for me: the creamiest Swedish Wrangebäck cheese - delicious. Loved the dining experience! Go, explore!

We had a great evening at Bar Montan. Started with a very good negroni and then asked to try a few wines before choosing a bottle. Both food and service were great, I'd definitely go again when in town. A small improvement suggestion is to have a menu in English, but the staff made up for it by explaining every item to us.

Some of the best food I've had in Stockholm! Beautiful area and space - lots of room indoors and outdoors and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby if you want to bounce somewhere else for another drink afterwards. Dishes are all very creative, affordable, and incredibly good - you can have an incredible meal here for 200sek. No reservations - easy to stop in and order! We were surprised that this restaurant wasn't crowded at all for how good the food is. When we visited, they were serving octopus - a dish that's really hsrd to find here. Staff were so kind and welcoming - and the space strikes this balance of feeling trendy and professional without being over-the-top fancy 😁 this might be my favorite restaurant in Stockholm.

The best and most exciting place in Stockholm right now . An electric atmosphere with super relaxed and knowledgeable staff . The food is fantastic and the times we have visited, we are made to feel like family returning home.

Don’t get fooled by the name Bar. It’s more about food and wine. But don’t expect variety of cocktails there. Otherwise good vibes, nice atmosphere.

A hidden gem located in an area that was functioning as the meatpacking district back in the day. The agnello tonnato and the dry aged topside tartar were delicious. Big selection (unfortunately only) of natural wines. Excellent service.

The mashed potatoes are so good!
