Curry spice city is a family owned Indian restaurant located in Vasastan in Stockholm. They serve traditional Indian food with fresh ingredients. We tried some starters and for the main dish we got the Jalfrezi, with paneer and lamb and. The food tasted great and hade lots of flavors and the nan bread was delicious. One negative thing was that it was kinda small portions compared to other Indian restaurants. Lovely staff and good food here!

Above all, the cuisine simply reminds me of a home cooked meal. Honest opinion to anyone who wants to eat Indian / Pakistani/ Bangladeshi (sub-continent) food, this is a must visit. Trust me you will love this place. To top it off, the restaurant is in the middle of the city.

Had a very very spicy shrimp curry for 149kr, a naan bread for 25kr and a mango juice for 29kr. Booked through the fork and got good discount on the food bill. The service was very friendly and honest. The curry was really spicy, which I recommend! But the shrimps are too small (my choice, not a complaint) so next time if I go back I'd take a prawn curry instead. The mint yogurt dip that came with the side salad was really really tasty. And the naan bread was excellent!!! However I didn't like the mango juice. It tasted like sweetened with artificial sugar.

The owner seems to have an attitude. It felt Asians were not welcome here . He just wants Swedish people who don't know about taste or if the food is not fresh. My suggestion is not to bother if you are expecting taste or you will put off their attitude. 2 star rating from my end ✨️

If you are looking to eat vegan curry at this restaurant, expect to be disappointed. The first difficulty you will face is to choose from the four vegan dishes offered because there is no information on the content of the dish except to say it's vegetables with or without vegan protein. When asked, the waiter could name three vegetables that's included - potato, pumpkin, spinach. When asked what sauce is used, I was told curry without cream. Vegetarian dishes, on the other hand, had a detailed list of the ingredients. I chose the vegan curry with spinach at 169kr. What I received was a greenish mushy sludge without much flavour or spice. Fortunately I also ordered the poppadum which had with it mango chutney (read mango jam) which I could put on my rice and vegetable slush to give it some flavour. The portions are also small considering the price. The ambience of the restaurant was nice, the people are friendly, so it's not a horrible place. But if you are vegan, well, choose another restaurant.

I went together with my friend whose from the same culinary region, and we both thought the food was passable and ok. It definitely won’t “wow” you if you’ve had Indian food before. The samosas were way too small for that price, and quite possible bough at frozen at an Asian food supermarket. The karai and Chicken Tikka Mango were good. But honestly, I’ve been just as pleased with a Tesco ready meal (those from the UK will now). Naan was good but nothing special. I will not return.

What an amazing find! Curry Spice City Indisk Restaurang truly exceeds expectations. The flavors are out of this world, leaving my taste buds dancing with joy. Each dish is a burst of deliciousness that's hard to put into words. But it's not just about the food – the service is top-notch as well. The staff's attentiveness and friendly demeanor create an inviting atmosphere that complements the exquisite cuisine. From start to finish, my dining experience was a delight. If you're a fan of authentic and tantalizing Indian flavors, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. The deliciousness and great service here will undoubtedly leave you wanting more.

During my visit to this hidden gem on July 13th, 2023, I had a truly enjoyable experience. The Indian cuisine offered a delightful blend of flavors that stayed with me. The friendly service and warm atmosphere added to the overall charm of the place. Looking back on my visit one and a half months later, I still recall the satisfaction of the meal. This cozy restaurant provides a genuine taste of authentic Indian dishes, served in a comfortable and inviting setting. To the team, thank you for a pleasant evening. I’m looking forward to another comforting meal at your restaurant. For a cozy and authentic taste of Indian cuisine, this restaurant is worth a visit. It’s a charming spot that offers good food and a welcoming atmosphere.”

When you enter this restaurant the first thing that strikes you is the amazing smell! If you’re not hungry before, you definitely will be. The food was delicious and the cheese naan to die for, the staff was so friendly and nice. The overall atmosphere is so lively and cosy, we had a great evening and will be coming back to try the other dishes!

Very poor service. The portion is so smallllll and they argue with you. I ordered paneer Tikka with rice. Did not touch it and wanted to take it home. The owner brought one tiny box for both and gave me attitude. Never again.

The food was quite pathetic along with terrible service. Imagine the owner of restaurant arguing with you for his own mistake..

This was absolutely fantastic. The food is fantastic. Nice servers, nice cook, nice place. I'd recommend using an app called 'The Fork' if you're eating out in Stockholm in general. You can usually expect 30-50% off.

I ordered through foodora and didn't eat at the restaurant. Ordered a chicken tikka masala. What I got was some oily soup that tasted like sweet and sour sauce. The bits was the most basic cheap chicken without any taste. My wife ordered paneer tikka masala and it was unedible with four small bits of paneer cheese. The naan was good though. Didn't finish my food and wouldn't eat there again even if I was paid to.

Place is too small to have adequate seating. We sat down and the owner managed to drop an entire bottle of beer on our clothes. Nw, mistake happens, but apologies and replacing spilled product didn’t occur. We ordered 4 dishes, Murg adark (Ginger chicken), Ghost palak (Lamb spinach), Mughlai mutton (Old mutton curry) and Biryani. All of the currys taste the same. Murg adark has a mild tomato gravy which is still beyond my understanding. Mugali has sweet gravy, it’s suppose to be full of spices (Not spicy but smell and taste of spicies). Lamb spinach is cooked in the same gravy with cheap quality spinach thrown together with lamb. Naan is factory made, warmed up and served to customers. They charge 39kr for each naan. Overall horrendous experience and off the list; to go and on the list: never go.

Overpriced, pathetic oily food, with no flavors, the quantities were ridiculous. Please do not waste your time and money here.

The absolutely worse Indian I have ever eaten. Terrible executions. The tika masalla was so sweet that our teeth dropped, a vindaloo so oily and with so strong spices that it actually tasted oil with spices and a biriyani to dry and tasteless that was impossible to eat. The naan were good btw.

Tasty food with nice flavours. Also, friendly staff who also asked us multiple times if we liked the food and if we needed anything else.

Would highly recommend! The service was great. The owner was so kind and helpful, overall a great man. Expect the place to be traditional. The food came quickly, and it was amazing. But be careful if you are sensitive to spicy food. You may ask to have it non spicy and they will make sure it’s okay for you. Would totally go again if I were to crave some Indian comfort food.

We dined in as a family. The restaurant is a Bangladeshi runed concept and therefore the food is sweet and lacks the Indian essence. I think the gravy served was the same used for every dish vegetarian and non-vegetarian. As an Indian take my reviews genuinely, someone who has never visited a proper Indian restaurant in India or UAE will give this place a 5-stars.
