My
worst
doctor
visit
ever.
Visited
Thomas
Franzén,
told
about
my
son
who
has
a
sleep
disorder
that
has
been
going
on
for
almost
three
years,
and
that
he
is
currently
awake
all
night
due
to
setting
up
new
medication
in
February,
and
that
my
boss
wants
me
to
be
on
sick
leave
because
she
is
worried
about
that
I
will
collapse
from
exhaustion.
I
have
never
been
on
sick
leave
before,
but
followed
my
boss's
appeal
to
seek
care.
The
doctor
chooses
not
to
say
a
single
sympathetic
comment
along
the
lines
of
"I
understand
that
it's
tough
to
be
awake
between
01-07,
four
nights
a
week
and
then
go
to
work",
but
instead
chooses
to
contemptuously
say
"shall
I
call
you
sick
until
the
kids
are
moving
away
from
home
or?
If
you
deliver
poorly
at
work,
it
is
your
responsibility
to
step
up.”
Whereupon
I
cancel
the
doctor's
visit.
I
think
that
this
treatment
is
exactly
what
makes
people
(mostly
men)
not
dare
to
show
weakness,
or
ask
for
help.
Which
is
probably
one
reason
why
many
men
instead
stay
together
for
too
long,
and
in
the
worst
case
kill
themselves
in
sheer
desperation
rather
than
try
to
ask
for
help
one
more
time
and
be
diminished
or
ridiculed.
Received
an
apology
from
the
head
of
the
health
center
who
called
a
few
days
later,
but
not
from
the
doctor
Thomas
Franzén,
and
honestly
still
feel
bad
about
this
doctor's
treatment
and
behavior
in
an
already
tough
and
vulnerable
situation.
