👍👍 Friendly helpful and caring Landlady in the bar when I walked in. I allen if I could bring in my Pushbike in. It was a yes because the establishment was quite with a few couples. The kitchen opens at 1800hrs at the moment as I opted for a Pork pie. A nice and meaty pork pie with jelly ( tasty) I ha... People often mention friendly, cheese, great, staff,

Lovely old pub, great choice of Joule’s ales and Lager. Amazing food and cheese board that is out of this world! The best pub I’ve visited so far in the area. The live singer was brilliant!

The kitchen opens at 1800hrs at the moment as I opted for a Pork pie. A nice and meaty pork pie with jelly ( tasty) I had a pint of Pure blonde 3.8% and sat down on the bench seat near the door/ Civic Centre side of the bar. If I get the chance to.park in Stoke again I'll be jumping on my bike again and motoring down to the Glebe again. Thanks to everyone.

We arrived here needing to eat, and found the kitchen closed BUT they offered a sharing cheese board of 4 cheeses with large pork pie, pate, very generous supply of bread, butter, pickles. All was delicious and Joules beer and a smiling barman completed an excellent meal. Thank you

An absolutely brilliant local pub. Really friendly staff and a good selection of beers and wines. Very reasonably priced, in fact we ordered a cheese board for two, which we though would be a snack and couldn't finish it. We'll worth a visit

Had an impromptu gathering of friends on a Thursday night for some food. I've been frequenting this beautiful place for years and the staff are lovely and the beers great, it's always a nice vibe in here. I thought I'd indulge in the 'Divine Swine' burger and I have to say it was well described, divine it was, the burgers were all very well received. Had we known it was 2 for one on Wednesday we'd have tried to arrange for then! Still it was a great night and we will certainly be back. Thank you.

What a cool looking place. I only wished I lived closer to it. The Joule's beer was a first for us and we really liked it. Sadly, the only food served on Sundays is a selection of cheese and bread and crackers. It was still excellent. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

What an amazing pub this not far from Stoke station. The sharing platter was tremendous value that happily fed a decent sized group of us. The pork pies are massive, loads of cheese to choose from and a mountain of bread and crackers. Reasonably priced pub that has plenty of character. The staff friendly and even ordered me a taxi when I had to leave. Can't recommend this place enough and look forward to returning one day.

Beautiful traditional pub. Great place for a pub lunch and just a short walk from the station. The fare is more hearty than fancy - I couldn't finish the large portion of pasta I was served.

Our favourite proper (Joules) pub! Not a large space but cosy especially in winter when they light the fires. Great atmosphere, no Sky Sports (thank god). Beautiful old tiled floor and windows with friendly staff and good selection of drinks. Amazing cheeseboard with vegan and vegetarian cheese and cracker options, selection of sauces and chutneys, crisps. Close to a big car park and Stoke station. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. They sometimes have music night and quiz nights. Dog friendly too.

Late afternoon visit to enjoy a pint of cider before catching the train. Barman took a great pride in their ales and had a great anecdote about a journey to collect their cider from Herefordshire. Wished I could have stayed longer as they were just getting an open fire going. Really plush decor with an olde world feel and atmosphere that was warm and crackled like the fire.

Didn't have food, but have been told it's delicious. The glebe is a lovely place to have a few drinks. The atmosphere is cosy the have a beautiful Christmas tree and open log fire. Very christmassy and friendly place.

The platters are fantastic for small groups/parties and are served with a variety of cheeses, pickle and choice of pate. The pork pies are a go to item and round off the platter nicely (helped down by a refreshing pint!) Great atmosphere in a pub with a lot of history and beautiful stained windows - music often on Tuesdays 🎶

Very nice pub. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. They serve pies and cheese boards sourced locally so a must try. Parking near by which is free on a Sunday. My only bug is that they ought to serve 0% beers etc on tap as it’s very common elsewhere these days.
