😐 Strange place. Absolutely stinks of the landfill site that is really unpleasant if you feel Ill. MRI dept is deep in the dark basement down a narrow staircase. But the staff are lovely and they were very caring towards me. It's a huge place so give yourself time to find the right wards/clinics. People often mention time, hospital, parking,

Parking is a nightmare - there just isn't enough. Totally inadequate disabled parking - hey most of the people attending hospital are sick/disabled. They shouldn't have to ride around and wait for ages just to park. It's very expensive too. Shouldn't have to walk half a mile from a cheaper parking lot either. Lots of wasted space inside the building too. And which designer thought it a good idea to make everyone walk down endlessly long corridors to their appointments. Take sandwiches and drinks. Wear comfortable shoes - you'll need to walk a long way. Take a good book. You're going to be there AT LEAST half a day. If you're unfortunate enough to miss an appointment you can't phone in to the clinic the phone number is just a call centre

Take care on entering the open air carpark, as the entrance is curved & not very wide for large cars. Also the time I went, there wasn't many available spaces, & took quite a while to get one. The new pay before you leave system is not very user friendly, but I am sure subsequent visits would be easier.

Most excellent hospital. I take my son here every other month, coming from shrewsbury it's easy to find.the staff keep us up to date with regular phone calls. The only downside is parking is a nightmare and if its raining your going to be very wet by the time you get in the

Parking is REALLY easy, there are car parks all over the place and the disabled spaces (for my mum) are suitably close to the main entrance and via easy ramps. Wheelchairs are available as you enter and the Covid restrictions are not intrusive as you move around The only criticisms I have are that the directions for outpatients to the touch screens (so you can check in) are not clear and to get free disabled parking you have to walk over to the multi storey car park which is in completely the opposite direction to register your car and pass. This is way too onerous when you find out as you go to pay.

Parked in car park H yesterday. First time visiting this hospital as I had to take my daughter with her poorly newborn. Firstly , it was crazy trying to find a space. People had parked on the ends of the rows which then blocked one of the loop lanes. Secondly, On returning to the car, I put in my registration and it asked me to put in what time I arrived?! I thought it was meant to be ANPR? I was honest and put roughly the time I entered (I wasn't clock watching on the way in) as I didn't want to end up with a ticket. It cost £7.20 and then I had to pop out to Tesco for baby formula and bits as they had to stay overnight and paid another £1.90! Nearly £10 in parking! And I'm there again later today.

Excellent hospital. Had to stay in nearly 3 days. Staff were rushed off there feet but always had time to talk to you. Food not that bad but not much choice if you're a vegetarian. All the staff from the cleaners to the consultants need all the praises with what they are having to deal with and still see patients such as me. Thank you everyone who took care of me on ward 126

Only two in every six seats being used, so had to stand waiting half hour to just sit down. This problem was caused by 90% of people taking their other half with them to hold their hand. Totally ridiculous no seats because people can't go hospital alone, shame! No where park & if you do manage find a place, it's basically extortion. You've got no way to estimate your waiting time here. I just needed a check to see if I didn't need treatment for a tooth because my useless dentist couldn't deal. So the quick check took me just under 3 hours & a new mortgage to cover the parking costs. This tiny hospital is no where need the size required for all the patients going there. It was packed & that's during Covid crisis. It was a mad house before but still a day required for simple consulting. To be fare, my dentist should have just sorted the simple problem but had to wait 5 months with three cancellations from the hospital, just to tell me "oh it's all healed up" yes because I ended up removing the broken tooth myself because of the pain I was suffering. It's 2022 but might as well be 1022 with the level of medical help received....none!

5 🌟.. The care and compassion that has been shown to my Mum, fron initial appointments to life saving /changing surgery and care, by Mr Gahir and the whole team at the Maxillofacial Clinic, is over and above what I could ask for... Please Do everything and anything that you can to Save our NHS... Heroes without Capes... Thank you 🙏

Horrible place. The only experience I've had is bad. Had two family members on here at the same time and they were not looked after at all. Seems to have got to big for its boots. Theres no compassion for the patients at all on the wards that we had to visit. Our family were just left and not thought about. Had to fight to get some sort of basic care.
