The price of food is lower than other places and tastes much better. I've never tasted a better naan which they provide free of charge with masala or curry. Another restaurant nearby fredy mercury museum served beef of poor quality and insisted it was mutton but this place serves high quality food freshly cooked. Vegetarian dishes were remarkable. The staff is super friendly and the place is not crowded, perfect for a peaceful family meal. Strongly recommended for those who want genuine Indian cuisine

Charming Swahili-Indian restaurant with wonderful service and tasty food. The highlight was the claypot biriyani (not pictured) which was aromatic and flavorful. The Swahili plate was a nice selection and introduction to regional cuisine. Pro-tip: ask for the homemade hot sauce. Although it doesn’t melt your face off, it is Hot. 😅 Overall, definitely recommended.

We prefer Seven Spice to the neighboring restaurant. The food quality seems to have dimished- breads/naans aren't as good, the pakora batter has changed, too thick and holds a lot of grease, and the flavors are down a bit. Overall, it's still a good dining experience compared to some of the local restaurants. We visit the island often and this has been a go to restaurant- so this review is based on previous dining experiences that were exceptional. I will try something different and repost back- perhaps its just what we are ordering.

I loved it! I was looking for tasty Indian food in Stone Town I truly found happiness! The owners are very nice and welcoming, just as the staff. I ordered the chicken Masala with extra spice (I like it hot)=> my dish was exactly as I expected…and even better! Portions are generous so don’t be too ambitious 😅

10/10 would eat here again. We had to come back here because food is delicious! Super friendly staff and the owners are very intent on making their customers feel happy and enjoy the most delicious food. Also the prices are really reasonable and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

Best food experience in Stone Town for very reasonable price. The flavors are explosive and the portions are very generous. The owner and the staff of the restaurant are very nice and make sure your food experience is great. Would 100% recommend

We have just enjoyed a stunning Swahili Corner traditional platter and could not recommend this restaurant more. Food is stunning. Tasty, aromatic and served with passion. The restaurant is right next to Lukmaan which should make it easy to find. Unlike Lukmaan, everything is cooked freshly to order, rather than being pre-cooked.

Wonderful Swahili platter where you have a choice of curries. Service is a bit slow and off putting at times but it was still okay. I think that’s a norm in the area as I saw that with most restaurants.
