My favorite place in all of stony brook! Such a great place to take kids, or a romantic walk or even go for a run just you! Could not reccomend this natiee spot any more, check it out, definitely do not want to miss this place, especially right around sunset. Still coming back 4 years later, it's the best place!

We stumbled on this beach/wetlands area and were pleasantly surprised. We visited in January and it wasn’t very busy and it was actually a warm day for winter. Very nice walk and beach area with beautiful stones along the beach.

Great place to come and enjoy a day with the family. Beach is safe 2 life guards there's pebbles in the sand but it's not that uncomfortable. I suggest taking the trail it's a mile forward in a mile coming back but great scenery and a beautiful marshland with plenty of wildlife.

Very nice public beach with a private vibe. On north shore so no waves, good for seniors to read on the beach and families with young children. Nice easy nature walk with beautiful views.

Reserve follows as an extension of West Meadow Beach. Nice walk, amazing sunsets. Parking regulated only for cars with Brookhaven residents stickers, gates closed by 8pm (COVID rules)

Beautiful beach especially at low tide and when the sun sets out over the water. There is a one-mile long paved road (blocked off from traffic) where you can walk, jog, or bike ride (no dogs) with a 1/2 mile marker. Osprey nests (currently occupied!), marsh birds, sea gulls, and other small birds love it there as well. Conservation efforts in this area are noticeable and there is some educational signage making this a lovely place for a variety of reasons. I can't edit captions but pictures 12 & 13 are of a Persian Silk Tree AKA Mimosa being visited by Monarch butterflies 🦋

Quiet. Peaceful. Free parking. I love bringing my family here year round. The shoreline has gentle waves and the beach itself is peppered with an assortment of different colored rocks. My kids love walking the beach in search of a new beautiful rock for their nightstands, or simply as a craft project to paint them. Further from the shore is a historical preserve that has a long paved path down the center of it which is perfect for a brisk walk or even a jog. The paved way is wide enough that joggers don't have to worry about dodging around those who prefer a leisurely stroll. Sun sets look amazing here.

Nice walk, natural, beautiful, quiet but with enough passersby to feel safe. 27 minutes to the end rocks and same amount of time back to parking for senior citizens. Heard a teen about to run it in 9 minutes 30 seconds.
