Great gateway for families to chill and enjoy quite time after hiking or skiing! We visit in summer, August so we did the hike! Rooms has a homey feel, spacious and clean, decorated elegantly. The view from the room is lovely and gives some room for children to play outside. Room insulation isn’t great as I can hear the guest on the room above us whenever they move and talk so was a bit noisy at night when we wanted to sleep. The suite comes with a kitchenette which is great for a family, there is a capsule coffee machine, microwave and small fridge, few cups and glasses. The kitchenette could definitely be better, there was only 3 spoons and we are a family of 5 so was a bit not convenient, also the coffee machine was so old so was so loud. The service was great though, the lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful and sent us an email with all the activities we can enjoy during our stay. The pools are GREAT, the kids loved having a dip after long day out 🏔️ Loved the place and definitely will visit again!

Top Notch was our choice for a 210+ person June 2023 outdoor Wedding on site. Liz took exceptional care of us and our Bride daughter and party. Our group basically took over the hotel and Liz and entire team made us feel at home from beginning to end including multiple tent set up, seated dinner and horses and mountains in the background! The wedding was everything our daughter (and her Mom) had hoped for and more... despite the rain which Top Notch basically made irrelevant. We could not have been more pleased!

We loved the pool, breakfast at Roost, roasting s’mores and watching the sunset! It’s a great location for a getaway, the staff is friendly, the vibe is laid-back, and we even had a great time visiting with other guests in and around the common areas. We visited in the early spring, but I’m sure this property is stunning in the fall or snowy season too!

It's a beautiful place, the staff is incredibly helpful. The rooms are roomy and cleaning service excellent Only problem on May 30th Maintenance decided to cut down trees behind the adult pool started 1:45 and finished 2:52 hopefully. They had all morning to do this why during mid of afternoon? And its there staff, cause they came walking by my chair several times.

Really great hotel. The only complaint is you have to walk a couple minutes to the shuttle. Not sure why they don't have it pick up at the entrance. Not a big deal in shoes, but with ski equipment it's a bit of a hassle. The bell staff is exceptional. The pools and hot tubs, sauna and steam room are great.

Topnotch Resort focuses on families & groups, so their public areas have a higher degree of noise, energy and activity than we anticipated. Our room was clean and tidy but in need of a refresh, and the staff was friendly & attentive.

My family and I spent a weekend here and had the most amazing time. The customer service is unmatched with everyone being so accomodating. The chalet with the shuttle to Stowe mountain made it convenient and was almost like a ski in ski out experience. The pools and jacuzzi were also great to have after a long day of skiing. The restaurant was also great and had phenomenal service as well as a great variety of food. I highly recommend this

Had a great winter vacation at Stowe. The hotel could really benefit from upgrading bathrooms (tub had cracks and is very old), pillows could be much better. When the hotel is at capacity the response times are bad, as an example we had to call in 4 times to put an order for room service. One night the hotel alarm went off at midnight and we had to wait outside in the cold for the firefighters to clear the alarm, we waited 45min in the 30F and nobody from the hotel checked ppl out, brought blankets, coffee or anything. Need to improve the service at all times. Too bad because the location and hotel is very nice.

9/10 The room itself was nice. the location of the particular room that we got was not the best because It was right by the stairs so we heard stomping all night. But other than that the bed was extremely comfortable. the staff were superb, more than accommodating and helpful. the spa was such an excellent experience. the food at the restaurant was great! There was so much to do on and off the resort!! We definitely can't wait to come back and ask for a room away from the stairs haha 🙌🏾❤️😘

The Good: Topnotch Resort is a nice hotel. It's pricey and updated. The rooms are well decorated. It's everything you would expect from a nice hotel in a popular skiing destination in Stowe, Vermont. The Bad: The hotel feels very corporate and I can see where they are cutting corners. I didn't feel like enough people worked at the hotel. When eating at the restaurant for brunch, the bartender was managing ALL the 8 tables, pouring drinks and bringing out the food. Not sure why Topnotch Resort and/or the corporate entity that owns Topnotch Resort thinks it's okay to over stretch their employees. I felt bad for the bartender who was doing his best to manage everything. Also, the pool and hot tub promptly closes at 9pm. At 8:55pm, the employees are yelling at people to get out. I feel like 9pm is extremely early to kick people out of a destination hotel that revolves around the spa and skiing. The pool and hot tub is one of the draws of the hotel. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again. I've stayed at plenty of expensive hotels and part of what you are paying for is the extra service. When things get busy for whatever reason, there are enough employees to fill any gaps so that the guest don't end up to waiting around for a long time. There just aren't enough people working the front desk, working the valet or working the restaurant. For that kind of management, I'd rather stay at the cheaper hotel and manage my expectations accordingly.

hands down our favorite stowe hideaway! we love the rooms, nicely appointed, quiet, clean and up to date. the service is always friendly, professional and most accommodating. delicious food, close to all the action north and south within a beautiful and scenic setting. best of all our four legged friend gets to come with us! pampered "us", pampered pooch, what more could you ask for? thank you topnotch for everything, we'll be back!

Room was nice. Was on ground level. Would have been amazing if it was up higher and had better views of the mountains. Spa was nice. Definitely think winter is the time to go as the outdoor pool and hot tub run year round. We are considering going back then if they offer Vermont resident stay deals.

We had a great time at this hotel, and we particularly loved the indoor pool and jacuzzi. We only had two nights and didn't get a chance to relax around the firepit, which I'm sure would have been great. Dinner on the first night was amazing, with fantastic food and great service, despite the restaurant being busy. Unfortunately the service on the second night (when fewer guests were dining) was poor, and this resulted in our food being quite cold when it arrived. We couldn't get staff attention to feed back or to get water. We were too tired and hungry to seek out someone so we ate it anyway, but it was a totally different experience from the first night.

We enjoyed our stay. Beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. Our room provided office space with a chair and a comfortable sitting chair by the window. We did eat at the restaurant and the food and the service was good. My only complaint was their WiFi didn’t work well and the lighting in the room was not good. I couldn’t seem to get enough lighting the lights were very dim; definitely not LED lighting. But overall a comfortable stay.

Far from TopNotch. Overpriced for an off-season November stay. Beds comfortable, but bathroom old and in need of repairs. Lacking a welcoming gathering place other than The Roost restaurant. Flannel was closed.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. Spa and services are great. However, thin floors and walls will have you waking up due to hearing other guests stomping around, and the wifi has nearly no signal in the mountain view rooms or spa area. While I enjoyed my stay I was definitely frustrated about it as well.
