The
Good:
Topnotch
Resort
is
a
nice
hotel.
It's
pricey
and
updated.
The
rooms
are
well
decorated.
It's
everything
you
would
expect
from
a
nice
hotel
in
a
popular
skiing
destination
in
Stowe,
Vermont.
The
Bad:
The
hotel
feels
very
corporate
and
I
can
see
where
they
are
cutting
corners.
I
didn't
feel
like
enough
people
worked
at
the
hotel.
When
eating
at
the
restaurant
for
brunch,
the
bartender
was
managing
ALL
the
8
tables,
pouring
drinks
and
bringing
out
the
food.
Not
sure
why
Topnotch
Resort
and/or
the
corporate
entity
that
owns
Topnotch
Resort
thinks
it's
okay
to
over
stretch
their
employees.
I
felt
bad
for
the
bartender
who
was
doing
his
best
to
manage
everything.
Also,
the
pool
and
hot
tub
promptly
closes
at
9pm.
At
8:55pm,
the
employees
are
yelling
at
people
to
get
out.
I
feel
like
9pm
is
extremely
early
to
kick
people
out
of
a
destination
hotel
that
revolves
around
the
spa
and
skiing.
The
pool
and
hot
tub
is
one
of
the
draws
of
the
hotel.
Overall,
I
wouldn't
stay
here
again.
I've
stayed
at
plenty
of
expensive
hotels
and
part
of
what
you
are
paying
for
is
the
extra
service.
When
things
get
busy
for
whatever
reason,
there
are
enough
employees
to
fill
any
gaps
so
that
the
guest
don't
end
up
to
waiting
around
for
a
long
time.
There
just
aren't
enough
people
working
the
front
desk,
working
the
valet
or
working
the
restaurant.
For
that
kind
of
management,
I'd
rather
stay
at
the
cheaper
hotel
and
manage
my
expectations
accordingly.
