Atmosphere was fantastic. Service was outstanding, very friendly. Food was great, loved every bite. Only issue was the tasting lasted 4 hours, never thought 8 dishes could take that long. Maybe they wanted to line up all the dishes for all the guests for the ease of the kitchen?

This is an amazing 3star Michelin restaurant worth driving too. The food is amazing, everything looks like a pice of art. Each bite is a culinary orgasm. And the staff is super friendly and funny. I highly recommend it and it's worth every Euro.

This place blew my mind from start to finish. I was a little intimidated as this was my first two star Michelin restaurant. It was worth it and the staff made us feel warm and welcomed. The menu was nothing short of an interpersonal journey. Each dish held its own distinct and unique texture and flavor, making it a true culinary adventure. The pairing options were also outstanding, complementing the food perfectly. The setting of the restaurant is also stunning and I can't wait to return and explore more of their culinary creations in the German countryside.

Die Erwartungen an die Küche von JW wurden mehr als erfüllt und wir freuen uns jetzt schon auf einen weiteren Besuch. Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle an die gesamte Crew, welche Hand in Hand einen unvergesslichen Abend gezaubert haben.

Really great food and presentation paired with great wines and nice atmosphere. However the dinner was way too long with long wait times of 30-50 minutes between courses. Over 4 hours for a meal and even after we asked them to speed things up it still took almost a hour to get the some of the courses. Other tables that arrived hour or more after us finished before us which is not how a highly rated restaurant should be run.

Küche auf einem Niveau das atemberaubend ist mit einer Weinauswahl die hervorragend stimmig zu den Gerichten ist und einem Serviceteam das nichts vermissen lässt. Alles in allem ein wunderschönes Erlebnis der unvergesslichen Art.

Das Essen war wunderbar, wir hatten einmal das Fleisch- und einmal das vegetarische Menü. Als ich peinlicherweise ein Glas Wein umgestossen habe war die Reaktion des Service absolut professionell und gut - sie haben es geschafft, dass es kaum unangenehm war. Das einzige, was zu wünschen übrig liess: Der Sommelier. Als wir ihm mitteilten, dass wir keine Weinbegleitung wünschen, liess der Service danach zu wünschen übrig. Er kam kaum mehr zu uns an den Tisch, obwohl wir gerne einzelne Gläser gewählt hätten - wirklich schade. Ansonsten: Top!

Anlässlich unseres Hochzeitstages haben wir das Restaurant Vendôme besucht und wurde im Schloss Bensberg beherbergt. Es war ein besonderes Erlebnis. Man wird hier kulinarisch auf Weltklasse Niveau verwöhnt. Das Sommermenü von Herrn Wissler sucht seines gleichen und wird perfekt von der ausgesuchten Weinbegleitung umschmeichelt. Zielsicher nach wenigen Fragen, hat der Restaurantleiter und spitzen Sommelier, Herr Strahl, den Weingeschmack meiner Gattin getroffen. Der perfekte Service ist, steht´s aufmerksam und trifft sicher die Balance, um nicht aufdringlich zu wirken. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Dieses ist ein Ort wie aus einem anderen Kosmos. Küchen- und Restaurantkunst aus höchstem Niveau die einen überwältigen kann, wenn man für außergewöhnliche Geschmackserlebnisse empfänglich ist.

Man braucht nicht viel zu sagen....es war gestern Abend einfach großartig!!! Solche Aromen! Toller Service! Sehr schöne Umgebung! Wir haben das große Menue mit einer kleinen Weinbegleitung einfach nur genossen 😀. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für diesen wunderbaren Abend!

It was a good hotel, a good restaurant, and a formal dinner. The wine list is cheaper than the value of wine.. :)

Exquisite dinner experience

Great 5 course menu with 2 options per course so between me and my partner we had a taste of everything which is great. Wine pairings were phenomenal. Excellent staff and impeccable food - what more do you want.

We stayed at the Althoff and they kindly managed to get us a table for lunch despite being booked out for months in advance. It was an unforgettable experience. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The cod was our favourite dish. It was a great way to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and we highly recommend
