Small but still a fantastic car museum for only an $8 adult entry fee.

Great little museum run by local volunteers. $8 entry, tickets at the door. Took my dad for his birthday, Ken who is a volunteer showed us around the museum and told us all about the local history and the storey behind each car. Being a local of the area for 30 years it was really interesting. Ken was very friendly and warm and my dad had the best day there, bringing back so many memories for him. Majority of cars are on 3 month leases so the display changes regurally, most are locally owned. Great location, easy parking in the town, cafes and antique shops everywhere.

From the street it looks small, but while not the size of the Birdwood motor museum, still a reasonable size. The vehicles are amazing for a car enthusiast. But the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. So even for those that are interested in "pretty" cars, its well worth the low $8 admission cost. At the time of this review children under 16 were free.

Loved it. Well worth the $8 entry fee. Much more inside than expected and an amazing display. Run by Volunteers and David was great!!! He gave us some insights to a lot of the vehicles that only a local would know. I highly recommend checking it out.

Excellent tour of a surprisingly large collection of vintage cars and bikes. Expert tour guide, very knowledgeable. Tour took 75 minutes and still felt rushed, need a good couple of hours to do it justice Many thanks to the volunteers for showing us around.

I was truly surprised. Even though it isn't the biggest car museum I have been to, it does however have very interesting cars, motorbikes etc. There is some unique pieces with great history to them. If you are in the area and you are any type of motor buff then it is certainly worth looking at.

Fantastic display of older vehicles. And so great to have a personal talk to our group from the legendary Glen Dix!!! Such a humble man, and his collection is just mind boggling!!!

Cute, compact museum with a selection of cars, motorcycles, bicycles and motoring memorabilia. The cars are in great condition and the signboards clear and informative. Well worth a visit.

Don't trust opening times on the web. 3 families travelled from Adelaide to visit the museum on 31/12/2022 as the web information says it's open from 10am -4 pm. It was closed a waste of precious time. It would have been nice if the web information is accurate and kept updated.

Excellent local car museum in old dealership. Run by volunteers who are very welcoming. It’s a really good setup with good variety of cars and related exhibits.

The people who run the museum are friendly and welcoming, although it is a small place to visit. It is definitely worth the effort and time to go for a look. Plus it's very reasonably priced to get in the museum.

A small, friendly and personalised museum. We were taken around by an elderly gentleman who had hands on knowledge of much of the exhibition. His commentary was as interesting as the exhibits. It is not large, it won't take all day, you'll enjoy it. It you are in Strathalbyn, go to Gilbert's. I will go again next time for sure.

Great displays and even better history. So many great examples of the local motoring history. A credit to the volunteers that make it work, and to the owners who volunteer their vehicles for display. Well worth the trip. And is a beautiful little Main Street.

Old garage filled with restored cars and bikes, with some impressive stories. Great personal tour and kids loved it. Local pub had good hot chips too!
