Have come here for years for birthdays, anniversaries & whenever. Today was an extreme disappointment. The grouper was small & not worth $40. A few potatoes & asparagus, service was outstanding. Ate at the bar & Janie was outstanding, the bang bang shrimp & shrimp cocktail were worth the price. Also had the green fried tomatoe not bad. Won’t be back til the winter to give them another chance, but if the fish stays small in portion, then they have lost a customer

We had dinner in the dining room next to the fireplace. The food was delicious. I truly mean delicious! The atmosphere was beautiful but definitely on the older side. A little modernization and updating could bring in a younger crowd. We were the youngest couple there by probably 25 years. My review would have been 5 stars if we had only had dinner in the dining room and left. But, we decided to go down to the pub after dinner. I understand it's a pub but you could turn on some lights. It was like a dungeon down there. I had noticed there was a very nice bourbon list and wanted to try a couple. Which is what led us to go downstairs. I ordered a single on the rocks. The bartender filled the rocks glass to the brim. I never thought I'd complain about over pouring but when you are drinking 115 proof and already had a couple cocktails with dinner I barely finished the one pour and did not try any others. Over pouring cost you sales.

This is one of the best restaurants in Strongsville. I love their grilled romaine. I'll order it every time I go there. Highly recommend this place for a date night or a great lunch! I love that they've stepped up their bread game. Bread says a lot about a restaurant.

Went with friends for dinner. The food was great. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had the braised short rib. The sauce was sweet and the Asiago risotto was creamy and delicious. The short rib was fork tender and the asparagus was a great pairing. The french onion soup was classic perfection. My boyfriend got the lobster bake and devoured it. He was raving about the lobster and how amazing it was. Don’t skip dessert, it was to die for.

The server really made the experience a lot better. We waited almost an hour for two dishes. The food was excellent, but I wouldn't make any timed plans after going to this restaurant, or you might not make other reservations.

I’m not gonna lie, this is probably one of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time. Went here for an anniversary with my bf and this place was awesome. From the food to the atmosphere to our awesome waitress (I’m honestly so sad that I can’t remember her name) this place was amazing. We couldn’t recommend this place enough and will definitely come back for more special events!

The chicken parm. was good but I don’t like the linguine noodles. Just wasn’t feeling it. The French onion soup is probably the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is super cozy down in the pub.

Wonderful experience! Even though it was packed, they were able to seat us in the unique speak easy like atmosphere downstairs where our bartender and waitress Gayle was on point. I couldn't have asked for a better evening! Thank you for always being consistently excellent in making the entrees delectable...

Great dinner tonight. The grilled romaine salad was fantastic. Braised short rib and the scallops dinners were delicious. A Strongsville icon!

Shared a holiday lunch with a group of friends last week. We had two large tables, and the service was excellent. Not sure how our server was able to do all she did, but she was organized and efficient and really did a super job. We had a somewhat limited menu (that still had many choices) and I selected the Quiche of the Day and a salad. It's something from their daily menu and I assumed it would be great since it is a regular item. The salad was superb, fresh and flavorful. The quiche, which was ham and cheese was just short of awful. Maybe 5-6 tiny cubes of ham, but that wasn't the problem. Quiche is normally a custard-like filling; whereas this was more like overcooked scrambled eggs. The texture was not even a little creamy, almost rubbery, and literally had no seasoning. The other entrees I saw around me looked wonderful and everyone liked them. I guess I just picked the wrong thing. Whatever you do, don't order the quiche. I ate the salad and left about 95% of it on the plate. Costco frozen quiches are actually 10 times better, which doesn't say much.

Superb restaurant with professional servers and spectacular food. Amazing place for a quiet, romantic dinner and a follow-on cocktail in the downstairs Pub!

First time here for a birthday. A little odd, outdated, stuffy decor. The valet was a high school kid reading a book for his homework. They had plenty of parking spots for a Friday night. The service was great. The brisket was dry, but the sauce was great. My husband’s steak was delicious. The shrimp cocktail was just okay. Overall, it was okay. It wasn’t worth the price. We may consider going back and trying a different dish. They do give a complimentary eclair with a candle for birthday guests.

A very nice evening in the Pub, our first visit there. A bit short staffed but it did not affect the service. Joyce was terrific. Timed our meals so that we had plenty enough time to enjoy each course and have a nice visit with friends. Salmon was wonderful! And the chocolate moose a nice way to end our meal. Thank you for a very nice evening!

We visited the pub on a busy Friday night during the holidays. It was busy and they seated us right away. We waited a little while before the server initially came over but we had exceptional service! I had the fried chicken thigh meal with mashed potatoes which was so delicious! My husband had the meatloaf which was equally delicious. Definitely recommend the pub for casual dinner, menu features and the chill ambience. Don't skip the dessert! The apple pie alamode and chocolate mousse are to die for!

We really enjoyed sitting on the patio this summer. It's surprising how private it feels even though it is next to the main intersection. They have done a wonderful job of creating a relaxing space there and the food has never disappointed!

Love the ambiance. The food is hit and miss... sometimes really good, and other times only okay. It's scary to see they have so many critical health code violations in the last year. Especially for a restaurant of this caliber. That makes me think twice about going back.

In our continuing efforts to try local restaurants in and around the Berea area, our realtor gifted us a gift card to Don't Pomery house. Celebrating our wedding anniversary, we decided tonight would be an excellent night to try it out. We had made a reservation in advance earlier in the week, which was not necessary for the time we arrived (around 5:45p) We were seated immediately at a two top table along the outer wall. There were just a handful of tables with other patrons at the time. Ambiance was very overall very nice with the atmosphere being cozy and close quarters. Overall volume level was low as tables were generally using inside voices to talk and not out at a concert near the speakers that some restaurants breed by all the TV's and noise. Food wise, everything was wonderful as one would hope. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer, which was excellent. Cooked to perfection and topped with a sweet chili pepper sauce, it was fantastic. I ordered the soup of the day, chicken and dumplings, which had excellent flavor but lacked some substance and was generally broth overall. Ordered the Pomery house salad and was very pleased by the blend of the mandarin oranges, greens, and strawberries. The honey poppyseed dressing was extremely sweet so a little bit of it went a very long way. For the main dish, I ordered the 8 oz filet mignon. It was served with gold Yukon mashed potatoes, mushrooms, a brown gravy, and French beans. Steak was cooked exactly as requested (medium) and was buttery in texture and consistency. The mashed potatoes blended well with the gravy adding a great flavor enhance to the whole dish. For dessert, we were offered a free eclair in celebration of our anniversary and we also ordered the bread pudding to try. The eclair was very tasty with a very rich chocolate frosting and an excellent custard center. Some of the best custard filling I have had outside of a bakery. I was told the bread pudding was excellent with it's blend of fruits, dried apricots, and whip cream adding to the dish. Overall, would absolutely eat here again and would recommend it. It is on the pricer side so something to keep in mind when making your dining decision but was fairly priced for the quality we felt.

Excellent meal, I ordered the seared tuna meal and it was delicious. The mashed potatoes were fantastic along with steamed broccoli. There was nothing that I could complain about.

Meals are always prepared exquisitely as is the Don's tradition. Brought a friend from Chicago for dinner in the pub. He was astonished by the menu, prices, and his meal - the black and blue strip. He commented on every bite.

Not impressed. We waited a long time for our food. We had to ask for our bread. The potatoes were cold on my wife's plate. My nephew paid $32.00 for a small chicken breast. My fish was cold, and soggy. My salad and bread was very good.

The food and drinks at the restaurant was flavorful and amazing. The service here is spectacular. The staff is very attentive and they all have great energy. My husband and I love a great dining experience and this exceeded our expectations. I got the chicken and mashed potatoes. That seems pretty unoriginal but their presentation and the flavors were great. One thing most fine dinner places miss is the seasoning. This place is an exception. I don't know who is is that kitchen but they are seasoning food well.

My husband and I went to dinner for the very first time for our anniversary. The food was excellent. We absolutely loved our waitress. Wish I remembered her name. She was absolutely stellar. We were in the back corner upstairs by the exit door. She had long hair and blonde. She deserves a raise ! We will definitely be back !
