This area has some steep climbs and I saw people tackle the track in powered wheelchairs. I have seen people using bikes and their own leg power. Do not be put off, plan a route and enjoy the scenery.

Stunning walks and cycles, breathtaking views and windswept coastal paths. Great pubs and beaches. Get away from the bronzing boozing masses of Bournemouth beach and head over to real Dorset coastline. Beautiful all year round.

Our recent visit to Durdle Door and Purbeck coast was superb. We visited along with our family and friends with young children over long weekend in August. The atmosphere was electric and buzzing due to excellent sunny weather. The parking lot was busy but there is an overflow car park which had good availability of parking space. The area is managed very well however the main concern is the availability of facilities for food and lavatories. The council could focus on adding at least couple more shops for food, at present only one which often runs out of supplies and enjoys monopoly on site. The lavatories are often seen with long queues especially for kids and women. Surely this can be improved. Keeping these two issues aside, the place is beautiful and a must visit for all ages.

Glorious cliffs of sandstone, chalk and clay as well as other igneous rocks. This coast is over 300 million years old and is referred to as the Jurassic coast. 10,000 tons of the rich superior clay is exported a year across the world. Do take a cruise from Poole to Swanage to admire this stunning coastline, taking into account Brownsea island with a castle built by King Henry the V111 that is now managed by the National Trust.Poole harbour with over 300 miles of coastline is the third largest natural harbour in the world.

Went hiking between Swanage and Chapman's pool really beautiful unspoiled coastal scenery. Don't expect any facilities along the way it is all about the view and country side.

If you're touring The Isle of Purbeck then Swanage is a seaside town that you should have at the top of your itinerary! The place does become very busy in good weather and parking may be a little tedious. However it's worth it because the beach here is a little gem

The sea cruise is a worth... and the sea is so beautiful with its mountain on the coast...The cruise is about 2 hrs to Jurassic Coast and return, You have toilet facility and a small drinks shop inside the cruise. You can enjoy the upper berth with open views , and a lower berth where you don't need to worry about the cold wind....A multi storey carpark is available next to the harbour...
