Very interesting place - but the guided tour was only a joke... The guiding was in serbian - even if I was asked what language I spoke at the entrance. I didn't get any information unless I asked for it. And what should I ask for? I hadn't got a clue of anything...Besides - we had to run through the facilities with very short stops in each room. The climbing of all the stairs to the watch tower could be exhausting for those not fit, and should perhaps be mentioned at the entrance. One of the women in the group had severe problems to reach the top. Maybe the worst was that we only got a few minutes up there before we had to rush back down. The guide said it was much better in the summer... Well - too bad for us who were there in November... All in all the experience was disappointing due to the harsh guide - who seemed to have been forced to take the tour. But I would love to explore The City Hall and the tower again - without the time rope around my neck... It was very beautiful! And the view from the roof was amazing!

A great tour is available in English everyday at only 12pm everyday except Sunday, there is another tour at the same time in Serbian. Might be worthwhile checking beforehand but we just rocked up. Definitely worthwhile, not expensive.

It's not possible to enter on yourown. You must book a tour in tourist organisation (it's in the same building). Tours are at noon evey day except Sunday.

One of the most beautiful City Hall in the world, build in 1908. There is an option to go up to tower when you can see all Subotica.

Beautiful hungarian cultural heritage place. Hungarian secession/Art nouveau style. Architects Komor Marcell and Dezső Jakab. It was built in 1908-10.

When visiting Subotica, this is the place you want to be. It is the center of Subotica and when something happens it will happen here. Promotions in Subotica is once a year and everyone dress up 👗 and meet up at this place. That occasion happened during our visit at 3rd of june in the evening. The city was full of merry young people and lots of photographs making photos of beautiful young women that looked like princesses 👸 If this is not enough Subotica has the 2nd largest synogogue and is definitely worth to visit when in Serbia. There is more in Serbia than Belgrade and Novi Sad 😇

👍👍 For its Synagogue, Subotica’s Jewish Community chose the design that won second prize in the Szeged synagogue architectural competition, thus making Subotica a home to one of the “most beautiful synagogues in this part of Europe” – as Subotica’s citizens like to say. The Synagogue was built 1902, ac...
