Went there for my Birthday lunch with family. Food was delicious
Excellent location. Incredible food and service. Great for small or large groups
Very good location, great selection of nice food and drinks. Efficient, well organized and friendly staff. Negative points are too many barstyle tables with high stools without backsupport ( not very comfortable when having a nice meal) and not enough parking at busy times
Good restaurant but there was a beard hair in my fish n chips. Also we had an amazing view of the water but before our food arrived a giant enormous boat came and parked along the restaurant blocking everyone's view of the water. So we could only look at this large old boat. Edit: went again with work and few of us had burnt fish and chips
Absolutely fantastic location right on the river lovely views while your eating and drinking. We even met some friendly swans. Its a large venue with lots of screens to view sport.
Good food, good venue, lovely location and good service, even when the lady at the till was new. She was friendly. I went there for the first time today because I had a voucher from friends. It didn't disappoint. Our Philly Steak burgers, chicken burger and meat lover pizza was amazing. The chips were crispy, the pizza also has a lovely fennel seasoning. The steak on my boys' burger was cooked nicely. Will visit again. Highly recommended.
We just dropped by for a quick drink and a bite to eat, but stayed for a few hours. Great service. Great views out to the water. Definitely recommend the calamari - very good serve and excellent quality.
Great venue, food awesome, staff very friendly . Nice outlook for a catchup lunch with Family. Download their app score 10% off we book or just drop in on some days after walk along river.
Delicious food! The cheeseburger was great. So many gf options too. Was going to get a caesar salad and add chicken but to add chicken was an extra $7… Overall, lovely atmosphere and food!
Three of us had dinner and we all enjoyed a window table, friendly bar service, excellent meals and some good red wine. The Atlantic salmon was perfect and my companions liked the Arcadia lamb and the Sliders. It was a great evening thank you. Prices are high, but much the same as everywhere else, so we don't dine out as frequently. Peter
Perfect spot to relax, eat great food, enjoy a few tasty beverages. Views of the Swan River and a warm cosy fire for those cold winter days.
Headed for a late night dinner with my partner. The place looks nice and the staff were very friendly. Food was actually really good (my partner and I loved the mushroom pizza a lot!).
Where is the gnocchi? ..... For $30 as a "main dish". More like an entree serving at a main price tag. Disappointing - portion size needs to have common sense. Luckily my family ordered steak sandwiches so they donated me a few chips!!
Second visit, first for dinner second for Sunday lunch. Great value, Sunday roast was good value, and chili muscles were awesome. You wont leave hungry, the servings are massive and well presented, and come out really quickly and all together. Highly recommend, we will go back.
It’s become a new favourite at 8 Knots Tavern. What better way to end the working week than to drop in to 8 Knots right on the river front, for a few nice drinks and some delicious food. We had the pint special for $10, followed by entree of beef koftas. Mains we decided on a prosciutto pizza. And rounding out the evening with the Kahlua Mousse and a Peach Martini. Live music playing in the background, friendly staff and service was so quick. We will definitely be coming back again …….and again
First time in. Food was freash and delicious. Good range of cocktail both modern and classic. View of the Swann river and marina is relaxing. Will be back to try their weekend live music

Scenic views: Set beside the water, the tavern offers spectacular marina views, with black swans drifting past. Perfect for sunset drinks or a tranquil afternoon meal. Service: The staff are attentive and genuinely welcoming, keeping the atmosphere upbeat even when things get busy. Pet-friendly: Four-legged companions are welcome in the alfresco area, making it ideal for dog owners. Value: Great food without the hefty price tag. Weekly deals like $20 parmi Tuesdays keep regulars coming back. Food: The menu is brimming with delicious options. Quality ingredients and generous portions make each dish a hit.
First time to 8 knots and we were very impressed. The staff were very hospitable, the table we reserved was very nice and had river views. We each had a different meal (4) and they were very well prepared, good portion size and tasted great. Food came out in good time even though it was getting quite busy. Will definitely be back again, no negatives whatsoever! P.s I had the Thursday night chilli mussels special, and it didn’t disappoint!!!
I love 8 Knots, the staff are always kind, happy and willing to help. The food is always fresh, well presented and cooked perfectly. They have a wide range of beverages from a large selection of Tap beer, Wine and spirits. The only thing I could critique would be that it can be very loud when busy making conversation at the table quite difficult, but this in no way alters my enjoyment of dining here.
Very impressed with our Fathers Day breakfast. We come every Thursday for Muscles and thought we would try an Event day and we were very impressed with the prompt service and only waited 20 minutes for food which is amazing for our busy family ( two young children ) We tagged the venue and posted a picture the day of as we recommend this for future guests
Was an amazing venue to have our lunch gathering at, amazing food, service and location on the swan. Would highly recommend this venue for lunch a great selection of food and drinks. Thank you and the artwork around the restaurant is so interesting goes with the name of the restaurant.
The booking was easy and fast. we wanted Table 7 so i called to reserve - be good if the website also has space for such special requests. Service was good, esp the young lady serving us was very efficient and pleasant. Could see she was very busy and a fast worker. We had a birthday cake which the reception kept and when it's time for the cake, this young waitress promptly brought it out to us with 2 sparkles! we were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful provision of the special candles, plus fresh plates and forks with serviettes, all without extra charge. We are very impressed; 8 Knotts will be our favourite regular dining place!
We enquired about a table that we had reserved and the waitress was quite rude to us. Not sure why that was considering it was a quiet Tuesday night. The younger wait staff were pleasant but need some top down management. The food was nothing special but we didn’t order anything fancy. However, the venue was so very nice. The last fingers of light flickering across the dock and the wild life frolicking in the last days of summer was something special. The only thing lacking from the atmosphere was some background ambience. I don’t right revues very often as you can tell but I feel this place could be so much more, perhaps the splitting the dining area from the bar and providing table service. Would I venture back here? Probably.
The food and service was, as always, fantastic (the table we were first seated at in the upper section was uncomfortably small so we moved to a booth). Our meals were great - serving size, flavour and presentation. As soon as we saw the mango cheesecake on the menu, we were sold. And we weren't disappointed....one of THE best desserts we've ever had. We've been to 8 Knots a few times now and have never had bad service or food. Definitely recommend and whatever cheesecake is on their menu, you have to try it :)
Went to 8 knots tonight to meet up with a group of friends. I drove and was looking forward to my first glass of wine around 7.45pm. When I got to the bar the female bartender (the shorter of the two) asked if I would like a large glass or small glass- I replied large. Then she asked what group I was with- I pointed to the group of school parents I was with. She then said I could only have a small glass of wine as the group I was with had been drinking prior to getting to this pub. She then said she would assess where I was at after I had the small glass of wine. The people standing around the bar were as perplexed as me as I was sober and asked me what was happening. I explained what the bartender had said and she turned around while getting my drink and said “I can give you no drink if you prefer”. I am still shocked as to how someone that is sober and requesting their first drink is discriminated against. I was piloted and well behaved and was treated terribly. I am not sure if she had just had some training in responsible drinking- but I think perhaps when a patron is acting drunk- that is the person you should be focusing on and perhaps look at cutting them off from the bar. Very surprised with the service today as I am a regular customer for dinner and drinks there- so hoping management gives the bartender some further training on how to assess responsible service of alcohol. Now there are more options for bars/dinner I’m the area I will be thinking twice before dining /drinking there again. I do want to note the other female bartender was lovely and seemed to be enjoying serving clients.
Ordered a a rare steak and it looked like it was still grazing in the fields. When the waitress came to collect our plates after 30 mins I expressed my concern for the raw meat I had been served and she was extremely rude and unaccommodating. Guinness was also served in a normal pint glass. Couldn’t split the G!!!! 😡
