One of the best Udon I have had. Had the cold Udon. The soup/dashi was fragrant and a great base for the other condiments such as sesame, mentaiko and grated radish. Goes well too with the tempura. Highly recommended

Udon restaurant located UMEDA 3rd building B2 floor. It’s so famous restaurant so you may wait around 1 hour until enjoying udon. Staff can speak English but won’t be fluently. Udon noodle is al dente. You can also enjoy some tempura. You can choose hot noodle or cold one. Highly recommend.

It’s one of the best udons I’ve ever had. You may end up waiting for 30 mins though at peak times.

Tried the signature champon udon and tempura udon ( yuzu based soup). Very delicious ! And reasonably priced. Less than jpy1000 per serving.

Best udon ever. Cold udon was amazing and so was the tempura. Long line but fast service.

This is the best udon that we have had so far. Broth is light yet flavourful. Not salty unlike the kind of udon we have been exposed to back home. The beef udon is more flavourful than the tempura one if you like a more robust flavour. Both are recommended and the cost is less than 1500 yen per pax even with the addition of an onsen egg. (Can’t rmb the exact cost) Be prepared to queue as it is popular with locals as well but the queue moves very fast.

The restaurant is tiny and seats less than 20. There was a small line when we arrived at noon for lunch but it moved pretty quick. They don't accept credit card, it's cash or PayPay only. On to the food. These were maybe the best udon noodles I've tried. The texture of the noodles were perfectly chewy. We ordered the cold dashi broth which was perfect for the hot day and really refreshing. The tempura which came with the udon was crispy but I wish they would have it hit it with just a sprinkle of salt after being fried, but that's just my personal preference. I think the intention is to flavor the tempura with the dashi broth that the udon comes in.

Small shop with amazing bowls. I enjoyed the tempura udon especially with the noodles made fresh.

The texture of cold udon is great!!! Udon tsukemen is on the gingery side and not to my taste. The cold green tea they served was so relieving on a hot autumn day! Queue also moved pretty fast! 30-45mins on cultural day.

Small shop in the basement of a building with many other restaurants. The udon noodles here are very good. The tempura is also perfect. I thought their champon udon was delicious

The food was good but not as exciting as i thought. Truthfully i had champion udon and it had rich starchy soup base which i believed what they famous for just not my cup of tea. I guess be awesome during winter season.

Great udon and tempura. Right texture for the udon and the sauce, which was a mix of yuzu (or citrus) and soy sauce.
