👍👍 Small place and reservations definitely needed. We saw quite a number of walk-ins being turned away. Onomiyaki and teppanyaki steak and prawns were delicious. Can skip the butter potatoes in lieu of the garlic rice! People often mention restaurant, recommend, friendly, delicious, reservation, steak, great, service, time, Kyoto,

We loved this spot! We didn’t have a reservation and got turned away, but as we were walking away the sweetest couple ended up giving us their reservation (cause they already ate? Whatever, here for it!) so highly recommend making a res! We saw them turn away all the walk-ins (and there were a lot!) The Japanese beef was juicy and flavorful, but my favorite was the garlic shrimp rice! So flavorful and just amazing! The servers and atmosphere was great! Fast and really kind! I would recommend!

Small little teppanyaki place. Lovely, friendly staff! We sat on the bar counter and watched everyone in the kitchen, great experience. Food was delicious! The steak was marbled with fat and so juicy, the seafood was delicious. I've never had more tender squid in my life! Amazing, definitely recommend!

Found this little gem while visiting the Yasaka shrine and the Gion neighborhood (no geishas found). Small place, but great food prepare in front of you in Teppanyaki style. Also available Okonomiyaki (a vegetable and choice of meat pancake of sorts), noodles on the same flattop grill and so on. Prices are incredible inexpensive for Japan. Had 2 main dishes, 2 side dishes, 1 beer and 2 Vodka drinks, plus one desert, all for less than $45 US! And the food tasted great as well! Highly recommend it!

Amazing food and service. We arrived early without a reservation and managed to score a seat by the grill, many people arrived after us and were turned away. The restaurant is small but intimate, the staff are incredibly friendly and the food is amazing. We went all out on food and drinks and all up it cost less than 10,000 yen. Loved our experience here.

Everything we ordered, and we ordered a lot, was very good. The garlic shrimps and the squid were tasty. We would have ordered seconds if we weren’t so full. The bubbly sake “Mio” is a must!! Service was good. Extremely friendly. We were very lucky to have grabbed the last table. Better to make a reservation.

What a great spot. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, English menu, and if you sit at the bar you can watch your food being prepared. Wagyu, okonomiyaki and yakisoba were all amazing, can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. This was my second time here, and I’ll be back!

Don’t hesitate to come here, if you enter after 17:40, it will be better to reserve positions in advance. Dishes are amazing and friendly on price. Good stay and memory in Kyoto.

This was a delicious experience that we highly recommend! We loved the shrimp so much we ordered extra and really enjoyed the okonomiyaki with Bonito flakes, tonpei, scallops & asparagus. Honestly, everything was very tasty! They were friendly and perfect hosts. We sat at the grill and loved watching them cook right in front of us. If you love food like us, you will love this restaurant!

Just finished our dinner here – amazing experience sitting at the bar and seeing all the great food being made right in front of us. And tasting it, too! Friendly and very welcoming English-speaking staff and a menu in English.

Very popular teppanyaki joint and we were lucky to get in without a reservation as we saw people being turned away because of the lack of it. Definitely slightly pricier but absolutely loved the flavor! The butter prawns were absolutely amazing and we had to order seconds because we devoured it so quickly

Very lucky to have seats when we didn’t make reservation. Good service and good food, English speaking staffs. Worth visit when you are in the area!

Amazing food. Steak was superb - juicy, flavourful and tender. Yam steak was fresh and had a very nice charred taste. Scallops were delicious and the lemon added a great zest to it. Garlic rice was fragrant but quite oily. Tamagoyaki was plain but paired really well with the red ginger. Oolong tea was quite special as it came in a glass bottle. Service was excellent and prompt. Good ambience as it really gave us the teppanyaki restaurant vibes. Would recommend for sure but you should make a reservation to avoid disappointment (many walk-ins were turned away as the restaurant was full).

Amazing food! The best restaurant I tried in Kyoto, price is friendly while service is good as well. I really recommend the garlic rice, that’s fabulous! If next time visiting Kyoto in the future, I will definitely try it again.

Amazing authentic Kyoto Teppanyaki. Took my girlfriend here for her birthday dinner and they did not disappoint. The seafood, special pizza and steak were highlights

One of my favorite restaurants I have been for a while. This is one of the most delicious meals I have had for a long time. The wagyu beef and the garlic shrimp and the garlic rice were unbelievable! Try talking to the staff because they’re so kind and and friendly. Highly recommend and will go back when in Kyoto! Thanks to these guys they made our trip even better!

Very cosy and friendly little restaurant. Definitely book in advance, we were unable to do so online so just popped in before opening to ask to reserve. The shrimp and beef were highlights! Lovely service and experience!!

My husband and I decided to go here on a whim one night while visiting Kyoto during our honeymoon. We are SO happy we found this place! The atmosphere was fun, the service was great, and the food was AMAZING! The drink were delicious too! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Kyoto! If you can, sit at the bar where you can chat with the chefs--they were very friendly and fun and oh so talented!

We absolutely loved this place. It’s small (accommodating only 14 guests at a time), so make sure to make a reservation. Tons of people got turned down at the entrance while we were there, because the place was booked. Their wagyu beef Teppanyaki and Okonomiyaki were our favorite dishes. Prepared right in front of you if you happen to sit at the counter. It’s also a non-smoking restaurant so that’s a plus as well. We‘d definitely come back.

Okonomiyaki was outstanding! Shrimps was really good as well. Unfortunately the steak was overcooked. I would still recommend this place- perhaps try another dish instead of the steak.

Really amazing food! The steak, scallops and garlic rice were absolutely divine. Need to make a reservation as it’s really small and while we were there they turned away all walk-ins unless they had space for them to come back later or the next day. Prices were very reasonable too.

Some of the best food we had during our 2 weeks in japan! In the U.S. we'd think of this as "hibachi" but it's way better. You might need to make a reservation to get in. We were just lucky enough to show up when they had 2 free spots open but they seem to mostly be reserved for the 5 hour time they're open. Totally worth it though! They have some unique menu items too that we didn't have but they looked delicious.

You must book a table but is really worthy! Really nice staff. The food is delicious and you can watch while they cook your dishes. The prices are pretty standard. They serve beer.

Great food! Fun to watch the chefs at work! Friendly staff. We had the Okanami-yaki, Yakisoba and Kimchi. All were yummy and served as soon as they finished making them. Good price for the quality. I would recommend!

Got here as soon as they opened on a Saturday and we were seated immediately. Ordered the Japanese Wagyu with garlic rice and pork yakisoba. Everything was superb, definitely met our expectations and the service was professional and polite. Prices were definitely reasonable considering the location and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a delicious teppanyaki styled meal around beautiful surroundings. Either get there early or go in and book reservations, this place fills up fast!

It's very humble teppanyaki restaurant! Their service is great! Since the restaurant small they can only accomodate probably 15 people max. And the cooking time is pretty long. So if you are lucky you can enter right away otherwise you will need to queue for quite some time. Their menu is simple and pretty delicious but the 2nd beef menu is not that well expected. I Think most of the picture with the hotplate is the 1st beef menu thats the most favorable one but it was finished during our time. But overall experience is 5 star. Tofu salad is good, okonomiyaki is the highlight.

Amazing restaurant, not too big with ample seating and the temperature is just right on a hot day. We ordered the grilled seafood dish and it came with shrimp, salmon, scallops along with some squid and it was mouth watering. We also had the two steak variants. The chef took his time and attention to detail on placement with each ingredient. Each item came out ready for a picture. My wife and I along with out 11 month old son really enjoyed eating here and would highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this restaurant! The okonomiyaki was fantastic and my son loved the chicken and cheese plate. The staff was always super friendly and smiling. Very accommodating. Seating for only 15 total guests so they will take a reservation if needed, but we only had to wait 20 minutes, nothing but a nice walk around the block. We ended up going back numerous times and would strongly suggest you do also!
