A tranquil shrine famous for rings bearing protective power from the gods. Stories on the wall outside the shrine tell miraculous personal experience from those who once survived disasters with the ring.

It wasn't crowded when I went there. I've read about the ring but it wasn't available so I bought other omamori instead. It is a solemn and beautiful place.

The deities enshrined at the festival are Ameno-mi-naka-nushi-no-kami, Takami-musubi-no-kami, and Kami-musubi-no-kami, known collectively as "Samuhara." There is a theory that during the Bunroku-Keicho War, Kato Kiyomasa carved Samuhara onto the blades of his weapons and believed in them, which led to him miraculously surviving countless perils. It has been passed down that chanting "Samuhara, Samuhara" or wearing items with the inscription "Samuhara" brings positive energy and provides insights to escape difficulties and disasters. During the Russo-Japanese War, many soldiers believed in its power to ward off bullets and visited the shrine. In present times, in pursuit of its blessings, the building of the Osaka Prefectural Police's Mobile Patrol Unit was erected next to the shrine.
