I
was
transferred
and
hospitalized
from
Tokyo
Rinkai
Hospital
until
I
moved
into
the
facility.
Initially,
we
were
told
that
they
would
look
for
a
facility
at
Kasai
Chuo
Hospital,
but
when
we
transferred
and
met
with
the
director,
they
told
us
that
they
would
only
be
able
to
keep
us
for
three
weeks,
so
we
should
discuss
this
with
our
family
and
find
a
facility
as
soon
as
possible.
I
was
also
told
to
hurry
up
as
the
three
weeks
would
pass
in
the
blink
of
an
eye.
I
was
also
told
that
my
dementia
could
progress
during
my
stay
in
the
hospital,
and
that
if
I
became
violent
on
the
bed
and
it
was
deemed
dangerous,
I
would
be
restrained
with
a
belt
and
no
life-sustaining
treatment
would
be
given.
This
is
a
hospital
where
medical
social
workers
leave
everything
to
the
families
without
any
local
medical
cooperation.
After
consulting
with
my
care
manager,
I
contacted
Kasai
Chuo
Hospital
and
was
told
that
a
medical
social
worker
would
contact
me,
but
I
did
not
receive
a
call
until
about
a
week
had
passed
since
I
was
admitted
to
the
hospital.
How
are
you
feeling
now?
It
was
just
a
matter
of
contact.
During
the
10-minute
meeting,
they
are
unable
to
understand
the
current
situation,
and
when
they
tour
the
facility,
they
are
unable
to
properly
convey
the
current
situation
to
the
person
in
charge
of
the
facility,
so
they
are
having
trouble
finding
a
facility.
Will
you
not
give
me
an
answer
unless
I
consult
with
you?
Isn't
it
a
medical
social
worker's
job
to
work
with
families
and
the
community
to
find
facilities
together?
In
the
end,
there
are
moving-in
fees,
etc.,
so
it
is
up
to
the
family
to
decide.Since
I
have
never
experienced
anything
like
this
before,
I
don't
know
what
kind
of
facility
is
best,
and
I
wonder
if
this
kind
of
facility
is
better
based
on
my
current
symptoms.
There
was
no
contact
from
the
hospital
at
all.
Is
it
okay
if
I
request
to
move
into
a
paid
nursing
home
with
nursing
care
instead
of
the
group
home
that
the
medical
social
worker
asked
me
to
move
into?
Also,
my
son
should
be
the
one
looking
for
the
facility,
right?
I
have
been
contacted.
Since
he
was
transferred
to
Kasai
Central
Hospital,
his
dementia
has
progressed
rapidly
and
he
is
no
longer
able
to
move
into
a
group
home,
so
he
has
no
choice
but
to
look
for
a
facility
that
can
accommodate
severe
dementia
and
request
to
move
in.
It's
been
a
month
since
you
transferred
to
the
hospital,
so
isn't
it
strange
to
hear
this
now?
Even
though
the
number
of
days
specified
by
the
hospital
for
the
hospitalization
period
has
passed,
will
the
hospital
now
search
for
a
facility
for
me?
My
family
has
no
choice
but
to
look
for
it,
right?
I
would
like
him
to
move
into
a
facility
as
soon
as
possible
before
his
condition
worsens
and
his
dementia
progresses
while
he
is
in
the
hospital.
A
nurse
contacted
me
because
the
director
wanted
to
talk
to
me
about
the
future.
It
seems
impossible
on
Saturdays
and
Sundays,
but
is
it
possible
on
Tuesdays
around
4pm?
When
I
asked
him
about
it,
he
said
he
had
plans
to
become
the
director.
He
said
he
would
contact
me
again
after
hearing
the
director's
schedule.
If
this
is
the
case,
please
check
the
director's
schedule
from
the
beginning
and
let
him/her
know
about
possible
dates.
The
point
is
too
bad!
It's
been
a
week
since
the
nurse
contacted
me
saying
the
director
wanted
to
talk,
but
I
haven't
heard
anything.
Does
the
lack
of
contact
mean
it
wasn't
that
important?
The
director
came
to
visit
me
and
I
wanted
to
talk
about
my
discharge,
but
now
that
the
discharge
date
has
been
decided,
it's
okay.
is
what
they
said.
So,
it's
been
over
a
month
since
I
was
hospitalized
and
I
just
wanted
to
ask
when
I'll
be
discharged?
I
asked
him
for
walking
rehabilitation
before
he
was
admitted
to
the
hospital,
but
is
he
undergoing
rehabilitation?
The
hospital
informed
me
that
my
hearing
aid
had
fallen
near
my
bed
and
that
it
had
been
removed
because
it
was
at
risk
of
breaking.
I
had
some
free
time
while
I
was
in
the
hospital,
so
I
asked
him
to
leave
me
a
TV
card
and
let
me
watch
TV,
but
he
wasn't
watching
TV
and
his
dementia
had
progressed
even
further,
and
he
was
sticking
his
head
out
of
the
gap
in
the
bed
rail,
so
I
had
to
put
my
body
under
a
belt
because
it
was
dangerous.
I
received
a
call
from
the
hospital
saying
that
it
was
fixed.
When
I
was
hospitalized
at
Tokyo
Rinkai
Hospital,
I
never
experienced
anything
like
this,
and
during
the
day
I
would
sit
in
my
wheelchair
and
watch
TV,
lie
on
the
bed,
or
do
some
coloring
on
the
pictures
drawn
by
the
nurses.
However,
it
prevented
my
dementia
from
progressing.
Isn't
it
normal
for
dementia
to
progress
if
the
patient
is
bedridden,
without
hearing
aids,
and
does
not
talk
or
watch
TV?
When
I
met
with
the
director,
he
said
that
he
could
become
violent
as
his
dementia
progresses,
and
I
was
able
to
understand.
Every
time
I
went
to
visit
her,
her
dementia
was
progressing,
and
she
had
hoped
to
move
into
a
group
home
that
can
accept
people
with
dementia,
but
there
is
a
possibility
that
she
will
not
be
able
to
accept
her
in
a
group
home
as
her
dementia
progresses.
It
is
difficult
to
find
a
suitable
facility.
As
usual,
hospitals
are
not
willing
to
look
for
facilities.
The
TV
stand
has
been
taken
out
of
the
room
since
last
week
when
I
went
to
visit
her,
and
when
I
asked
the
nurse
in
charge
about
the
situation,
she
told
me
that
she
would
sometimes
throw
things
on
the
TV
stand,
and
since
I
had
her
body
restrained,
I
would
no
longer
be
able
to
do
that.
Therefore,
the
TV
stand
should
be
returned
to
the
room
and
used
to
watch
TV.
The
family
has
been
informed
that
the
hospital
is
convenient,
such
as
that
the
patient's
body
has
been
secured
to
the
bed
because
he
is
violent,
but
this
is
the
first
time
they
have
heard
that
the
TV
stand
has
been
moved
and
no
notification
has
been
received.
Also,
it
seems
like
there
are
times
when
he
doesn't
eat
hospital
food
at
all.
The
nurse
doesn't
eat
when
she's
in
a
bad
mood,
taking
advantage
of
the
fact
that
her
dementia
is
progressing
and
she
can't
say
anything.
That's
how
it
ended.
My
mother
is
a
picky
eater,
so
it
may
have
just
happened
to
be
a
meal
she
didn't
like.
I
now
understand
why
I
have
become
thinner
than
when
I
was
hospitalized
at
Tokyo
Rinkai
Hospital.
If
things
continue
like
this,
we
won't
be
able
to
provide
the
life-sustaining
treatment
the
director
said.
I'm
worried
and
anxious
only
if
it
doesn't
feel
realistic.
When
the
person
at
the
facility
I
wanted
to
live
in
went
to
visit
my
mother,
she
told
me
that
the
hearing
aids
were
expensive,
but
they
were
gone.They
took
her
hearing
aids
off
without
saying
anything,
and
the
next
day
she
started
acting
up
and
putting
them
on
the
TV
stand.
As
she
threw
things
out,
I
thought
she
might
be
trying
to
find
her
hearing
aids
by
getting
out
of
bed
or
trying
to
get
them
from
the
TV
stand.
The
nurses'
response
to
everything
is
so
bad.
Although
I
received
the
influenza
vaccination
at
Kasai
Chuo
Hospital,
this
information
was
not
provided
to
the
nursing
care
facility
when
I
underwent
a
medical
checkup.
After
moving
into
a
nursing
care
facility,
I
was
diagnosed
with
dementia
and
insomnia
after
contacting
a
visiting
clinic,
and
it
was
only
after
I
was
admitted
to
this
hospital
that
my
dementia
worsened
and
my
insomnia
developed.
When
he
was
admitted
to
Tokyo
Rinkai
Hospital,
I
don't
think
he
was
sleeping
normally
at
night
since
I
had
never
heard
of
him
suffering
from
insomnia.
Also,
when
my
mother
visited
me
after
she
was
transferred
to
the
hospital,
she
would
say
things
like,
``Isn't
your
sister
coming
to
visit
me
today?''
and
``Please
come
again
when
you
get
home
from
the
visit,''
so
I
didn't
know
that
her
dementia
had
worsened
to
this
point.
It
wasn't.
If
you
are
bedridden
and
unable
to
move
for
almost
24
hours,
it
is
natural
that
you
will
not
be
able
to
sleep
at
night
and
will
suffer
from
insomnia.
When
I
went
to
see
her,
she
was
sitting
on
the
bed,
probably
because
her
symptoms
had
subsided.
If
there
was
a
time
like
this,
I
should
have
just
watched
the
TV.
I
haven't
heard
of
anything
like
this,
so
it's
probably
because
my
TV
card
ran
out
of
space
and
I
couldn't
watch
TV,
or
because
the
TV
signal
level
in
the
hospital
facility
was
so
bad
that
I
couldn't
watch
TV
properly.
I'm
not
sure
if
that's
the
case.
I
was
discharged
from
the
hospital
last
week
and
was
able
to
move
into
a
nursing
home.
I
can
finally
live
a
human
life.
In
the
medical
certificate
submitted
to
the
insurance
company,
the
medical
certificate
from
Tokyo
Rinkai
Hospital
states
that
they
can
communicate,
but
the
medical
certificate
from
Kasai
Chuo
Hospital
states
that
they
cannot
communicate.
It
is
clear
that
his
dementia
has
progressed
since
he
was
transferred
to
Kasai
Chuo
Hospital.
It
may
not
be
a
hospital
specializing
in
dementia,
but
the
way
of
nursing
clearly
shows
how
dementia
progresses.
She
slept
in
bed
almost
24
hours
a
day,
only
changing
diapers
and
preparing
meals.
Since
I
was
admitted
to
a
nursing
home
and
spent
almost
24
hours
in
bed,
my
insomnia
was
so
severe
that
I
slept
during
the
day
and
woke
up
unable
to
sleep
at
night.
After
being
admitted
to
Kasai
Chuo
Hospital,
his
dementia
progressed
and
his
symptoms
worsened,
including
insomnia,
and
I
wondered
if
he
was
really
in
a
hospital.
When
I
booked
a
meeting
for
Saturday,
the
meeting
slots
were
already
full,
so
I
was
unable
to
meet.
I
was
refused.
In
the
explanation
before
hospitalization
and
the
explanation
about
the
web
visit,
there
is
no
explanation
or
mention
that
there
is
a
limit.
It
seems
that
only
one
group
(one
family)
can
meet
in
one
slot
every
30
minutes.
This
means
that
only
five
groups
can
meet
on
weekdays
and
four
groups
on
Saturdays.
If
I
knew
this,
I
would
have
made
the
next
appointment
when
I
went
to
the
appointment,
instead
of
making
the
appointment
2
to
3
days
before
the
appointment.
Even
though
the
meeting
time
is
only
10
minutes,
there
are
too
few
meeting
slots.
On
weekdays,
I
am
busy
with
patients
going
to
the
hospital,
and
the
number
of
people
infected
with
coronavirus
and
influenza
is
increasing,
so
it
makes
sense
that
I
can
only
visit
in
the
afternoon
to
prevent
infection,
but
office
workers
work
on
weekdays
and
can
only
visit
on
Saturdays.
There
are
many
people
who
are
unable
to
do
so,
so
we
should
increase
the
number
of
visits
by
allowing
them
to
visit
in
the
morning
on
Saturdays
or
on
Sundays.
When
we
met,
there
was
someone
else
meeting
at
the
same
time.
Isn't
there
one
group
every
30
minutes?
I
don't
really
understand
this
either.
Everything
is
nothing
but
disbelief.
