Great venue, like an oasis in the middle of nowhere, superb food and very very clean, great staff as well.

The decor is beautiful. The sushi is fresh. The veggie stack is incredible. To top it all off, the service is also on point.

We had a wonderful family weekend at Africanos at the beginning of June 2023. The food, the rooms, the facilities and vibe were all 5 stars. Every room has a private outdoor shower. The location is close to Addo Elephant Park, which is great and convenient, however the roads in the area make for quite a stressful journey to get there - this is of course not the fault of Africanus but a heads up to anyone going there so that you know what to expect.

We had a wonderful dinner. Sushi was delicious. The beef tender and tasteful. Desserts ( cheesecake and brownie) superb. Very good service and beautiful restaurant.

Had a lovely stay at Africanos Country Estate. Good location if you are looking into visiting Addo Elephant park. Keep in mind that there are no direct alternatives nearby for dinner or lunch services. There is a SPAR nearby which is convenient for picking up supplies when you are heading into Addo for several hours. Staff is great and helpful. The restaurant and bar close on Sundays but hotel guests are able to order dinner and a beverage 24hours prior. In general well organized but we were the only one in the restaurant on Sunday evening which was a bit awkward and lonesome. Other point of attention is that you constantly need to log in for wifi as any device gets kicked out after going idle for a second. Minor issue, easy fix. Other than that, had a nice stay here!

Very cosy, nice and quiet. People are friendly and helpful. Rooms are neat and tidy and love the big bath, big shower and outside shower. Will promote to anyone to visit.

Booked for a prominent businessman and his family for Easter weekend 2022. The service they received upon arrival was so welcoming , the receptionist Tammy's service from the booking, checkin and checkout she was completely professional, patient and very friendly. She went out of her way to make their stay enjoyable. The facility is breath taking and the restaurant cuisine is memorable. Highly recommend this establishment for a couples getaway weekend as well as a family vacation. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you to the entire team for their superb service. We went to restaurant only not as guests, as we saw they had sushi on the menu but the sushi was pricey so we ordered some sushi, chicken strips, chips and pizza. The sushi was very good as were the strips and chips. However the pizza was pretty bad, could have been Spurs.

My wife and I only went there for supper but it was amazing. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is stylish but ordinary at the same time. The portions are big enough so you can finish them but feel very satisfied afterwards I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

This was not a good experience! We were no hotel guest, but came to have dinner as everything else was already closed in Addo at 8 pm. But seriously the food was just bad, especially for a 5-star hotel. The fries were not completely cooked. The chicken burger I had was okay, while the beef burger of my girlfriend had hard bread and meat tasting like cheap frozen burger patties. Finally, as we told the waiter about the quality of the food, he told us to wait as he wanted to inform the chef - we now expected some kind of free dessert or at least a shot on the house - but he returned to tell us that the chef is sorry about him serving us unfinished food. Result for us: Bad food and even worse customer service. Only bad experience we had during all of our trip to South Africa!

Food was delicious. The ambiance is beautiful and modern. Very enjoyable experience.

Can only review the restaurant, and it was excellent. We visited twice, and both times the food was excellent. Be warned, portions are huge, but this is no bad thing! Desserts are particularly good!

Excellent food, very tasty ! Drinks as well ♡ Service was good, and friendly. But the Chocolate Cake was horrendous: old and very dry, I think the cake also fell flat during loadshedding ...... was very condensed, not fluffy like a normal cake at all.

The warm welcome very quickly turned sour ! Our room had heaps of sand and ants like crazy, they were everywhere....on the bed, headboard and curtains. Called reception only to be told in a very sarcastic manner, sorry but this happens on the farm !! Not the type of response you expect from a 5 Star establishment! Furthermore our room was not cleaned properly, behind the toilet door there was lots of dust and dirt. And the outside shower had cigarettes on the floor. Clearly shows this was not cleaned as we don't smoke cigarettes ! We asked to extend our stay when we just got there, thankfully they could not accommodate us for another night, which actually worked out in our favor. Rooms are really beautiful.... was just sad that it was not a pleasant experience!

I attended a conference here. It's a gorgeous venue, the facilities arei extremely clean and the staff are friendly. The food was delicious and their cakes are sumptuous. More than enough parking space available.
