Holy Cow Vasastan

Restaurant Indian restaurant

👍👍 Best Indian restaurant I've tried in Sweden. They also have a vegan menu and vegan nan! I've been going back for years and it never disappoints. The restaurant can handle bigger seatings as well so it's a good place for a meet up with the family or friends group. If you are going alone the portions... Best Indian restaurant I've tried in Sweden. They also have a vegan menu and vegan nan! I've been going back for years and it never disappoints. The restaurant can handle bigger seatings as well so it's a good place for a meet up with the family or friends group. If you are going alone the portions are quite big so don't hesitate to ask for a doggy bag.

Super good vegan menu! If you like some heat I really recommend the Vindaloo!

I recently dined at this restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was marred by the arrogant behavior of the staff. From the moment I walked in, I felt like an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. The servers were dismissive and we had to wait over 15 minutes despite having a reservation. When I asked questions about the menu, their responses were condescending and unhelpful. It's disappointing to have your dining experience soured by staff attitudes. The food may have been decent, but the lack of courtesy and respect from the staff left a lasting negative impression. It literally felt as if the staff was doing a favour on us by serving the food.

Great food great service. Only thing missing was a bit of music, it got quite quiet when the guests weren't too many but when it filled up you didn't think on it.

The staff was extremely rude and don't know how to talk to people. Highly unprofessional according to Swedish restaurant standards. The service was also extremely slow which makes sense because the staff is busy showing arrogance to people.

The worst experience at any holy cow in stockholm, we were told to leave in 10 minutes at 9:30 after we just received our meals 10 mins before. The waiter then told us that we were being loud that's why we were told to leave, funny thing he only said that to the only non white guy at the table. Really bad employee, ruined our experience and our Friday evening.

A rare 5 stars for an Indian restaurant in Stockholm. You'll probably never find a truly authentic Indian restaurant in Stockholm, but Holy Cow, I feel, gets it very right overall. Plus, as a vegan, it's just really nice to come to a place, open the menu, and find a big section full of vegan dishes. Mind you, there are dishes for omnis, too, which makes this a good place to go in mixed groups. I had the Vegan Madras and it was very tasty and, even better, nicely spicey. The accompanying naan was soft & fluffy. I'd totally come here again. It's central and a great place to go with omni friends or family.

They have a lot of vegan options. I think this isbm the first Indian restaurant I found in Stockholm with a large Vegan menu including Vegan naan. The Vegan Mushroom dopiaza is really good. Staff are also friendly and helpful. Feedback: They put a lot of sugar in everything, even in spicy food. Should reduce it.

A very nice atmosphere, a kind and professional staff, and the food was great and tasty. We can easily say that everything was home made. There are a lot of vegetarian options, with little twists. Naans were good as well.

One of our favorite Indian restaurants in Stockholm. We really appreciate the large choice of vegan dishes which is maybe the best in the city. The food is fresh and very tasty 👍

We went to st Eriksplan holy cow at 5 pm to have light snacks While entering the only person in the restaurant the waiter , he gave a disgusting look at us and when we were seated he came to take the order and we ordered tea , samosa and snacks He told us to leave the restaurant if we are not ordering main course It was so rude and my little daughter kept asking me mamma why is he telling us to leave Seriously man just have the basic etiquette’s in life to serve if you have opened a damm restaurant

First time visiting this restaurant and I had the Vegan Tamarind ”Chicken”. It was the best Indian meal I've had in a very long time. Cannot recommend enough!

Great selection of vegan dishes, very attentive, professional and friendly staff - all in a cosy environment. The food was the perfect amount of spicy, and the vegan Naan tasted just like ordinary naan. Holy Cow is both very tasty and animal friendly - all you need for a great Indian dinner experience! Thanks guys.

For me Indian food has always been greasy sauces with a few meat/cheese pieces. This restaurant surprised me by being incredibly light on the oil, still rich in flavor. Vi all ordered vegan dishes and all of them are really good. The service was attentive, warm and welcoming. They offer free extra rice and salad.

Not that authentic indian restaurant, they have good food which satisfy local taste buds, their curries too sweet for Indian taste buds!

My favourite Indian restaurant in Stockholm by far. I'm used to British Indian food, and this is the closest to that I can find. The majority of the dishes can be made vegan too which is a massive plus.
