Being a local living very close to this restaurant, it is with a sad heart I am saying that this is one of the worst experiences I've ever had from a service point of view. Had booked a table for eight early in the evening to grab some drinks and starters. When arriving they had unbooked us without giving any notice and told us to sit in the bar instead. After sitting in the bar (which was challenging for eight people), we got told that we cannot sit there because we are blocking the exit. Instead of fixing the situation they just told us that we cannot sit like that, despite half of the restaurant being empty. Conclusion: - Unable to fix our situation (that they messed up) - Passive aggressive voice when talking to us (three different people) - Never came to take our orders (then we left after 45 minutes)

I really like the place, I go here often both for lunch and drinks in the evening. But today they charged me 92 sek for 0.5 L norrland guld. The price for 0.4 L is 68 sek, she asked me if I wanted a big one, I said sure so she charged 24 sek extra for getting me 0.10 L extra beer! Not cool! See picture for pricing! 😃

It's my favorite restaurant & bar in Sundbyberg. I like many dishes here. It's a very nice spot to hangout. Staff is nice and helpful. I came here many times already. I love their steak dishes.

Rustic decorated restaurant and pub,popular for AW, came here for lunch courteous staff ordered Seafood pasta with scampi,blue clams and appetizer of bread and olive paste,very good pasta that didn’t get me too full or was too fat Broad selection on the menu

Went for dinner with wife and kids, sadly we asked for some pizza and pasta ….. head waiter comes telling us that we can’t order pizza or salad because there’s no one in there stations … we said what yes no one came to work…. The pasta was over cooked dissapointing! I could bet my 5 years old can make a better pasta ! NEED URGENTLY A CHGUANGE OF HEADCHEF. Or someone responsible to take control of the quality in the other 4 places biblioteque, and other 2 publics

Really bad service!! DO NOT GO. I highly recommend NOT going to this place! The servers took my friend and I to a table, and we ordered drinks and said we were not sure if we wanted to eat. The server got angry and asked us if we were 5 years old because we must order food if we take a table. Btw, the restaurant was empty, many tables available. The waiter was really rude, no need to talk to us like that. Bad vibes, horrible place. I'll never put my feet back to this place. Start training your staff in a better way.

Just left. It seems like even despite almost empty place the service team has no time to notice customers. First we got into the outside sitting area. No one from service was there so we took a small table for two. Waited 10 minutes and nothing happened. I went inside and stood by the empty bar and waited few minutes for the bartender to finish whatever he was doing to give me menu. When I was reading it I've noticed a waiter and asked him if I can order. He said that I should go to the table and I will be served. And I did. Another few minutes later (just few tables occupied in the entire huge restaurant mind you) he cam and when we said we just want some drinks he said we cannot sit at the table since those are only for food!!!! We went back inside and sat by the bar again where after another 10 minutes of bartender ignoring us on purpose, we left. Absolutely terrible experience. But hey, if you just cross the street and go to Esplanaden 3 restaurant you will be served in seconds, for half the price, with smile. Just go. Oh! Did I forget to mention that in The Public service crew was constantly arguing with each other? If you want a bad energy show go there.

Amazing place outside the city centre. Very nice design, just wc area needs some renovation and better smell. Food was really good. It was a long time I didnt ate such good cezar salad. Kids menu available. Booking table system easy and flexible. Prices are bigger then average, but we think worth to pay for what you get. Best recomendations.

Wir waren hier zum Abendessen an unserem ersten Abend vor einem Meeting. Man mußte vorab, da wir eine größere Gruppe sein sollten, das Essen vorbestellen und da leider aufgrund von Wetterverhältnissen einige Personen nicht rechtzeitig ankamen mußten wir sehr kurzfristig die Personenanzahl reduzieren was aber auch soweit geklappt hat. Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut, das Personal freundlich und wir waren sehr zufrieden. Das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön im Stil einer alten Fabrikhalle mit gemütlicher Einrichtung!

I like atmosphere in this place, you can have dinner beautiful served or you can have drinks and snacks in chill and cozy area.

It is never ok for a waiter to say to a client: "i dont need to explain you as if you were a child" When I arrived with my friend to the restaurant no body explain/ask if we were eating or only having drinks. Then that we had several waiters coming and asking what we want taking the menu away and giving it back not explaining that we had to eat not only drink to stay there. So much disorganization. Very annoyed with this guy that was pushing us to eat and saying what to eat, when we ask för a recomendation the waiter said we had to read the menu, and we chose what to eat he said we better ask for a Main plate. Like really the worst experience in Long time. Like for real disgusted with the overall service. I cant not even explain how uncoftable his faces, expresions made us feel.

It's a fantastic restaurant. A wonderful setting with great service and superb food. I will definately re visit when I'm back in Sundybyberg

Sundbyberg is a municipality that sits nearby Stockholm … it’s a place where you can find very good restaurants very near from Solna where there are many companies … The Public is the first restaurant i chose in this place and it’s a must for everyone that enjoys great food, exquisite taste and incredible environment in the evening starting after work hours. The atmosphere is purely Swedish although sometimes there are other cultures present … it’s dynamic, chic, one man from the staff addressed me to ask what i wanted and i thought he a was a customer so i was intrigued for a while before the order … There is an area for a Cocktail before dinner, the Niagara Falls is my favourite choice, and people go there casually for a good conversation … a party … or a family reunion … Being there, start with a Venison Tartar … the mix of international ingredients like french mustard, pickles, green details, red fruits and the meat meticulously cut is a roller coaster of flavour that is simply magical ! This entrée goes very well with the champaign of great taste to start with. Then you may go for the shellfish pasta that is simply one of the richest i tasted and i can tell you i am a great chef for cooking pasta … this main course is warm, exquisite, full flavoured and with a great touch of complexity … You may accompany it with one of the very best international Wines they have here … the wine choices are amazing, go for the australien if you like an older wine with oak like taste and round mature grapes, this white wine is of incredible taste from the Public and it was the first time i tasted australien wine !; also, if you prefer the american continent, chose the USA one, it’s younger, fresher and more open … and , if you’re into the european continent, go for the French one and you won’t regret it !! You may end with a Crème Brûlée and a cognac of your choice !! Cheers !! Post Scriptum - I came to realise that my first choice of restaurant when i arrived at Sweden was in fact one of the very best restaurants i had there and it was truly competitive with the ones in central Stockholm regarding cuisine, atmosphere and service but remember, this only applies to dinner since at lunch the service it totally different because it’s working time and it’s fixed plates, not a la carte service.

Food was very good. Maybe a small portion for a big guy like me. The bench was not so practical in a big group. The service was as perfect. I can go back and just be pampered by the waiters.

One of my favorite restaurants in Stockholm! The oxfileplank is my go-to meal. The meatballs are delicious, and the calzone is fresh baked and amazing 🤩 Highly recommend stopping in for dinner with friends to enjoy the atmosphere. The decor is classic and really makes the restaurant something special. Drinks are always flowing, and they even have an area with couches for relaxing and socializing. Awesome place!!

A big place to host office afterworks or generally. Gives a sport bar kind of feeling. It’s primarily the pub feeling, you can have beers. And also god food

Really good food and servicr in a super cosy interior. But the music is quite loud and later in the night, the lights dim and the strobe lights come on... just be a club at that point! People are ready to dance, just lean into it.

A lovely meal with a friend here! A bit on the pricey side in the evening but the lunch menu gets a good patronage. The place is rather busy most Weekday evening so booking is advised, especially if you're a large group!

Good food, service ok. We were there one evening during the week. The place looked nice with lots of tables outside. It took a very long time for a waiter to come. When he noticed we didn't speak Swedish, the waiter just walked away. Such an unprofessional behavior. Some time later another waiter came. We got a very good meal. Unfortunately high prices, but still in an acceptable range.

Definitely one the best pizzas in Stockholm!

Food was delicious, but we needed to listen lecture from the waiter because of where we were seated by other waiter. They messed up themselves by sitting us somewhere where ALL people should eat, and as two people orderer dessert and only third one ordered dinner, they decided that they will give us rude lecture about it. I offerred to change our table, but they declined and decided to leave us where we are and keep lecturing us instead about - that this is not table for dessert order. (Most of the tables were empty during our 1 hour stay there) Please fix your sitting system, and leave your guests out of this information, as this is not problem of your guests!!

Great food, but the service was slow. My fiancée and I went and sat down at a table and weren’t even greeted for a drink order for 30 minutes. After we started being tended to by the waitstaff, the service was decent. The food is fantastic and we’ll definitely be back!

I loved the atmosphere, reminded me of steam hotel Västerås, an old industrial office turned to a clean cut restaurant with dimmed relaxing lighting, I didn’t try the menu though i was too tired but I took the desert which I give 4 out of 10, and 10 points to the decor and that’s it only a 1 minute walk to the parking garage
