Sunday lunch carvery,absolutely fab nice fresh veg,meat was lush had a choice of 4 different meats ,the yorkies were nice light and perfect,the staff were polite and welcoming we will definitely be going again.Thanks Queen Vic.

had tea with friends food was really nice staff were both pleasant and helpful went beyond to accommodate our needs.

We had a get together here, we hired a room for after a family funeral, when the tea and coffee ran low, we asked for more to be told we had to wait till it ran out completely, when it did we still didn't get any more, poor service especially considering it was after a funeral. Won't be going back and won't recommend this place at all.

Where to start, service, the staff struggle to gain our orders - and when the food was thrown on the table by a staff member - we ordered the sunday lunch and i needed a life jacket to help me float with the amount of gravey the food was swimming in, and tye veg came on a share dish and it wasnt enough to go around - a bit pricey too

Cake box got stolen and but it in a black bag and the cake was 500 pound it was also asked the place to decorate the room with blonde and they were still in the back bags and me and my wife aren’t happy at all

Excellent menu and very good food. Service is first class. I have been for lunch during the week and their carvery on Sunday and I can recommend to come anytime.

New faulty towers!!! Forgot to let us in the first night we stayed so ended up walking the streets at 1am! Finally got in 11am the next morning. No hot water, dirty cups, moved rooms and generally just horrid. My husband and I couldn't leave quick enough. Don't part with any money to stay here!

My friend had her 90th here, very nice atmosphere and food canny to.

Seven of us had lunch today excellent service fantastic food and excellent value for money would definitely recommend and most definitely come back 🙂

Food very nice but the music was too loud for me and not my type maybe because I'm getting on a bit. It's a suitable place for engagement, wedding parties etc.

Poor selection of beers, a bit rough & not a pub I feel comfortable in.

Well, this will be the year we remember we had literally the worst fish and chips we've ever had 😅. The place was filthy, including the high chair which I didn't dare touch, the service hard work (staff were busy doing the books on the bar), etc. Judging by the other reviews we must have caught them on a bad day. 2 stars because the pint was drinkable and we didn't actually catch any diseases from eating the food.

Met family here who came up from manchester food was lovely. Some family had rooms here really good value for money.

Great pub… the only one point that concerns me is that if my ex-wife turned up, the windows in the gents toilet are so tiny I’d never get through… But apart from that… brilliant x 🤣

Nice pub. There for a party. Attended another party. Bar staff were great. However when it came to the end of the night we were rushed out of the building. Didn't get time to clear things away. Shutters were pulled down and we were left to stand in the rain. A lot of money had been spent.

We went to a wedding here on Saturday the 13th of may. It was a beautiful wedding and all staff were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately for us we did not stay here but by all accounts if we had of stayed here we would have thought it was brilliant other family members stayed here and said how good the rooms were and the service was so hopefully next time I visit Sunderland this is where I definitely will be staying. We thought this was a lovely place and like I said we can only comment on visiting it for a function not as a paying guest but what we seen we liked.

We had a cracking weekend the staff were absolutely brilliant friendly couldn't fault them Alfie the Porter was a top bloke so helpful all in all it was clean and tidy. The Carvery was top notch so tasty and got plenty of meat and Veg the gravy was just like what you mother made. The locals where so friendly it's made our weekend so special thank you Queen Vic definitely recommend it and very close to the beach we'll be back up again without a doubt 😁

Had a fantastic weekend here with family and friends. Alfie was fantastic as the girls were behind the bar. The hotel is right on the beach. The carvery was absolutely beautiful and worth trying. Definitely will return here for a weekend away again.

Had out wedding party here.....ALFIE the man who works there is fab he is a lovely man he helped us set up our room.....we stoped in room 10 on the nite was absolutely amazing I can't fault it in any way.....ALFIE made us feel so welcome 😀 thanks for a fab day

As a student this is the best places to treat oneself occasionally when on a budget, they offer 12" Pizza's for 5 pounds from Monday through Friday. The service is amazing, ambience lovely and staff is the most friendly you will meet. Sam served me on my first visit and Kay on my second. Just the best. Will visit often.

Avoid getting food here. Absolutely disgusting, cheap overpriced garbage.

We stayed here for one night in October, the staff were really friendly from the start, the rooms were clean and very comfortable and the views were wonderful. We ate in the bar and all the food was delicious, a great stay and will be back.
