Pretty little park, 1st time. Not great weather but lovely little walk, quite a few like minded people walking around exercising their dogs. Great access to the beach and lots of parking dotted around. Will be back.

Another brilliant display at this year's Festival of Light. This is a very popular event and rightly so. Apart from the themed light up figures there is an eating area, toilets, vendors selling led things for the kids. If you need to catch your breath there are plenty of park benches to do so, including beside the duck pond. All of this for Β£3 ticket. Well done to all who organised this event. Carole & Phil Washington. October 2022

Only had time for a short visit due to the illumination's that were about to start. The park was quite empty but still enjoyed what I did see. The memorial inscription states that the park is free to use forever. Strange how they're selling tickets for the light show.

Great park for a nice gentle walk which seems very accessible. As I've only visited during the illuminations I've not walked around this park during the day so can't really comment on much else. Though for events this park seems ideal. If you've got little kids I'd recommend going to visit in the early evening just as it's getting dark, if you leave it any later they might struggle to see any attractions past the sea of people!

We went for the illuminations last week which was really good with plenty to see. Our little lad loved the miniature train which only required a donation. The fire and water show was good as well for little ones.

Lot's of new lights this year and love the ticketed time slots, means the park isn't too busy. However the entrance could be better sign posted and clearer directions round the park would be good in future. Disabled and pet friendly!

What a very boring place that's not changed for years and years but some things just never change. There are some fantastic parks in Newcastle and Gateshead that inspire and captivate yet Rocker park and the whole of Sunderland is just so utterly depressing I just don't want to set foot upon its rubbish and rat infested streets ever again. Sunderland is only significant for the invention of the Monkey Rat, not to forget Peter Reid and his Monkeys heed.

Scenic, green and close to the beach. Very pleasant walk and plenty of amenities nearby. Also close to a range of cafes, restaurants and bars. Can't think of anything missing apart from someone to enjoy it with!

A great park that links straight down to the beautiful coast and bars along the promenade. Park is always in great condition and tidy, has a brilliant play park for older and younger children, miniature trainlines that are frequently manned by volunteers a pond and much more. Puts on an impressive show for the illuminations every winter as well.

I went here to see Roker Park illuminations. Great family fun. Money well spent. I have allso been here during the average day not to bad to have a walk around. If you go through Roker Park it will give people with disabilities access to the beach wich is also a pleasant place to go.

Really well organized Festival of Light. This was my first trip to Roker park and it looked like a lovely place to come back to. There were toilets, a lake, it's of grassy areas, miniature train, a couple of play areas and a bowling green. There are several entrances to the park. We used the one that takes you directly to the sea front which is then a short walk to pier view car park. We'll definitely be back for a visit and will be returning for the festival of lights 😊

My local park which I'm in almost everyday. I love this park and have done since I was a child. All my kids and now grand kids enjoy the park. It's almost a family tradition .. Lovely landscaping, play areas and now a cafe. Also the ravine leads down to the seafront. Seriously, if it was anywhere else in the world, people would rave about it..!

Desperately needs care and attention. A shadow of its former self. I remember the Illuminations and other attractions. Now areas are cordoned off including the bandstand. Pools run dry where once water flowed into them and the model railway has long since closed and only the rusty old track remains. My first visit in 20 years and i just felt sad.

Lovely walk in the park today, swan , ducks and of course seagulls on the lake, daffodils starting to come through and a burst of colour from the crocus flower.
