Looking for a nice dinner with some good outdoor ambiance and excellent food? Look NOT here. $59 for a “24 oz” steak (which was bottom quality meat that’s actually only maybe 12 oz, and about 30% of it fat, 10% tendon, 5% bone, and all of it poorly cooked. But wait, there’s more! It is served in a plate-bowl of bonus mystery sauce, which is strikingly similar to the powdered grocery store gravy mix. $6 for 4 stale pieces bread served with a side of oil that tastes like the red grease that coagulates on top of cheap pepperoni pizza... $24 worse-than-Chef-Boyardee pasta served with day-old-fish smelling clams atop lemony-water soup, and half cooked-half crunchy pasta.... all served at a cool room temperature... Top it all off with impatient, irritated and rude staff and management. But hey, the tap water they served was edible... so they got that going for them. In summary, if you love to spend a lot of money and you have no taste buds, this is the place for you! Needless to say, I will NOT be coming back and I hope this review will save you the time, frustration and money.

First impression of this place, after it was recommended to bring my out of town family, was great. We were excited to see a large patio and plenty of seating. The outside chairs upon closer inspection were in dire need of a paint job and were very uncomfortable. But we thought, ok we are here for the awesome food. We were wrong. We ordered the ribeye several pizzas, mushroom lasagne and seafood pasta. And bread that was $6 a basket. Who does that? Let me begin with the ribeye. A $60 steak that was mostly fat and drown in what seemed to be a brown sauce like the packet gravy with some whole peppercorns thrown on top. It was literally a supermarket cut thrown on a plate with gravy. No presentation. I think it came with fries? That no one ate. Next we have the pizzas which were generally ok but no one saw what the big deal was. Ok. Fine. The cherry on top was the seafood pasta. I know what “al dente” pasta should be. It was so under cooked it was nearly crunchy and got stuck in our teeth. With a few tiny scallops and frozen peas swimming in a strange watery sauce I could not eat it and instead asked for the roasted chicken which was later thrown away as well since it just looked unappealing (note: they still charged me for everything). Positive, the Pino noir was pleasant and the staff seemed to be nice. Unfortunately, after a $120 bill just for my part, and leaving with an empty stomach, neither I or my family will be returning.

We were considering having a wedding here, so had dinner to give the food a try. It was pretty good and I’d give it 3.5 stars. However, the service was 1 star slow. Getting drinks from the bar took 20 minutes. They offer an upgrade to a large ice cube, but it had melted and watered down a nice scotch. Our waitress kept disappearing for long amounts of time. Then our food came out cold and the owner/management handling of it was completely unprofessional and rates 0 stars. Someone said it was the owner, or owner’s sister, that spoke with us. She told us our pizza was brought straight from the oven, so our complaint was unwarranted and treated us like we were the problem for complaining. She agreed to make a new one, but said it would come out the same temperature and we were paying for it we still weren’t happy. The remade pizza came out piping hot and was quite good. A pasta dish also came out cold the first round. The replacement came out hot, but it was a different pasta dish. We gave up at that point and didn’t send it back for the correct entree. Considering other reviews, we must have just visited on a really off night. However, considering how ownership/management handled things, I can’t see taking our wedding business there.

The brick oven margherita pizza was fantastic and the Salmon was terrific too. The atmosphere was a little upscale and relaxed at the same time, the view of the city at night was great also. The customer service was top notch, welcoming. Great place to bring a date.

This was one of the best dinners I've had in a VERY long time. Aside from the fact that it is our anniversary, the service was impeccable even with Covid and eating outside. The views are incredible, and the food was perfectly cooked, well presented, and we'll...just take a look at the pictures yourself.

Very pleased with my meal and that's coming from someone that's picky with their food. Their menu item is very limited due to the fact they try to buy locally, couldn't decide what to order and went with the safest choice for me, chicken. It was the only menu item that contained chicken but it was delicious! I was a bit uncertain at first due to the description saying it had some type of mushroom sauce which was new experience for me but well worth in the end. My lady got the shrimp pasta which she enjoyed but she would agree the pasta noodles that came with my dish were more delicious then hers. The price is high like you would expect a place like this to have, the scenery was nice though. I spent over $100 for a dinner of 2 which was for the main course, 2 drinks (non alcoholic), and a desert. Worth it in the end but definitely not something I would pay to eat at every week.

Delicious food, a farmer’s market and a fantastic patio make this restaurant a terrific weekend meal destination. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. When the sun shines, the patio is glorious and peaceful. Even the occasional freight train does not puncture the tranquility of the experience. The border patrol helicopters are noisy but they pass fairly quickly. The farmer’s market is nice and the number of vendors will vary but there is a nice variety.

Voted as one of the famous roadside inns for travelers in America by LIFE magazine back in 1957. This place offers authentic Italian gourmet in the middle of desert, right by the border. Per waitress' recommendations, we ordered Margarita pizza and Full house pizza, the homemade dough is delicious, the toppings are right on point. Especially they're all baked in the oven made of clay, and served while it's still hot right from the oven. The most appealing element of this place is its gardening environment, with the breeze blowing every once in a while, the whole atmosphere just makes the meal a lot more delightful ☺️

Not all of the same menu items are available from you subsidiary or partnered establishments. The menu items were amazing that were available, but the calzone and meatballs are a staple that we missed because they're not available. Loved the steak option and the other entrees that we had, but was disappointed in how we couldn't get those usual items that we were looking for under the Ardovino's brand because you guys make them perfectly.

I am going to change three back to a five in a couple months. I love this place and generally have a good time. But, Sunday at brunch the burger was terrible. Way over cooked and the fries too. And I may have had some stomach issues too after the fact because of the food. Just tasted terrible but did not want my company to wait on me to get my plate right. Every other time amazing. Please get it right. I will be back. Love Ardovinos.

Not a memorable meal for Mother's day brunch in 2022. It was my second visit to Ardovino's mother's day brunch. The last time was before COVID in 2021. It was an excellent brunch buffet then and we were very happy with our experience then. I hope they improve. It's a lovely cozy place.

I was unimpressed with the food quality and portions for the price. I don’t know who plans the plates but there is this awful Caesar salad that consists of whole quarters of romaine lettuce that requires the diner to sit and cut up the salad themselves. I have NEVER had to cut up my own salad at a restaurant before. Anything coming out of the brick oven was charred. The pizza I ordered had minuscule amounts of cheese. The pasta portion was SO small for $22. When the server brought it out, I thought it was a kids plate. Besides the food, the waitstaff were very attentive and the girl at the door was super pleasant. That being said, I don’t think I would ever return to Ardovino’s Desert Crossing to dine in. I’ve been to this location for several special functions and did enjoy myself which was the reason I decided to give the restaurant a try.

Came around 930AM. Really nice people and neat place to meet new friends dog and people. A bit disappointed that there were like only 2 small booths with fresh produce. When I have visited farmers markets in Gilbert and Chandler AZ they always had a vast selection or local farmers picks and fresh eggs etc. Was really hoping to find that here. Had good ☕ and 🍺though. Bought really cute bracelet for self and a among us necklace for the kiddo from the sweetest lady really impressed with her selling skills. Tried some super yum hummus from Daal Hummus so good I bought 2. Green chile and traditional. Super creamy smooth great taste, we almost ate them all in one sitting! Love that they have a spotify playlist what!😲 (Good jams) In the bit we were there my daughter had two booths kindly give her an awesome mini sculpture if a Moai and a icy sweet mango boli from another. So refreshing to see there is still that kind of hospitality and kindness in the world. Thank you to everyone at the market we had the nicest experience.

Brunch or dinner you can’t go wrong. We first stumbled on this place when we checked out the market they have on Saturday mornings. One of the vendors (who is from Germany) recommended we try it. He raved about the brick oven pizzas. So we tried their brunch. Everything on the menu was awesome! This place quickly became our Saturday brunch spot. Great food and Bloody Marys. The bonus was the fresh eggs and vegetables sold by another vendor every Saturday. We went and had dinner last night and again, I was not disappointed. We started with the farmers platter which was a typical anti-pasta, very tasty. My wife had the house salad that was very good with a good portion size. I had the chicken Marsala which had an extra spice that made it unique and tasty. My daughter enjoyed some of the pizza and some buttered noodles(she is only 3). They don’t have a kids menu but they do offer kid friendly options if you ask. I can not say enough great things about this place. It is a hidden treasure! We will be taking advantage of the patio seating when the weather warms up during dinner time.

I've heard about Pride month events happening here for ages but never got the chance to go because it's a little far. Cute place, lots of rustic and vintage decor they have here to look at in between looking at whatever else happens to be going on (I presume it's not for sale). Will have to come back to the market again, or maybe to eat! Happy Pride! 🌈

Very good brick oven pizza! The Caesar salad was huge and very traditional. We really enjoyed the calamari appetizer, very light and crisp, and not greasy. The two deserts we tried were absolutely excellent. They have a good wine list and we had Amaro with desert. It's in the middle of nowhere and has a bunch of different areas to it. We felt a bit under dressed, but it was not a problem, next time I would wear a collared shirt.

Absolutely amazing. Great food and incredibly nice people. The farmers market is great also. We stayed in sweet '57 vintage travel trailer. It was a fun and unique experience. Highly recommend!
