Worst experience! I was prescribed antibiotics that were closely related to penicillin even though I wrote on the form that I was allergic to it AND told the Dr to his face. Luckily the pharmacist noticed this and gave me an alternative. On top of that, the nurse dressed my wound it the worst way I've ever seen, she put the SMALLEST bandages on, and the part of the bandage that is meant to stick to the skin CLEARLY goes over the open wound! It was a NIGHTMARE to rip off!

Absolutely terrible ethically which is reflected in other reviews. Did not give results to loved one, said their results were not good but would not discuss until another appointment was booked. Results were not good, and loved one now has to book multiple follow ups to discuss action after being given results. Charges for face masks and saw families have to go scrape together change out of their car (Even the QLD police hand these out for free). This franchise very clearly values profit and business rather than striving to be a health service. Avoid if you are after genuine, personal care.

Terrible group of mostly incapable doctors. I went to see โ€œDrโ€ Helen Tumusiime, to get a piece of glass out of my foot. She first denied that I have anything in my foot but sent me for an ultrasound. The guy who did the ultrasound said there was a small piece of glass in there. Helen never contacted me regarding the result of the ultrasound. I had to follow up 3 times to get her to call me back after a week. When she did, she said the ultrasound is inconclusive. When I told her the guy had said there is glass in there, she said โ€œoh yes there is a tiny piece of foreign body in there but I will give you a referral to go to emergency and get it outโ€. She was trying to deny there is anything in there until I told her that I had spoken to the ultrasound guy, who had confirmed there is glass in there. My foot has been bleeding for a week now and I couldโ€™ve gone to emergency at any point instead of waiting for this so-called โ€œDrโ€ to tell me to do that. Waste of money and your time. Iโ€™m not even sure any of these people are actual doctors. On the other hand theyโ€™d be great for hire if you need clowns for a kidโ€™s birthday party.

Smart Clinics Annerley was our family practice - Dr Ion is great, the service from this practice is the complete opposite. Over the past 18 months it has been getting worse to the point now we have moved to another practice. I would avoid Smart Clinics Annerley if youโ€™re looking for a good drs in the area.

Both sessions I have had here were with doctors that just dont seem to be listening to me. They were constantly taking phone calls during the session and after the call I would have to start again explaining the problem. The last time visited I was even asked to sit outside while they took a phone call. No explanation that it was an emergency or anything. I promptly left and vow to never return. If you are unhappy with your current doctor I strongly recommend you visit this place. You will be heading back to your old doctor with flowers, freshly baked cookies and a smile on your face quicker than I can say "potatoes"

Have had urgent 2 appointments cancelled in 2 days. Will not be returning to this centre. I completely agree with Jackthedrought's comment.

I've been here twice and the receptionists are helpful and friendly... Unfortunately the same can't be said about the doctors I saw. Dr Ion Constantinescu and Dr Subrata Aditya were both rude, unhelpful and didn't listen to what I needed. Both of them came across as arrogant and unpleasant people!!!

Ive gone from impressed with this dr surgery as a whole, even as a chain. To complete and utter disappointment. From now on ill be going elsewhere. From recent โ€œupgradesโ€ including uncomfortably small chairs in the waiting room. And a tv screen around a corner so you cant even see it while you wait. And simple customer service like receptionists telling you what side to sit on for your doctorโ€™s hallway so your not awkwardly walking across the whole waiting room if youve sat on the wrong side or so your doctor is calling your name 5 times because youve sat too far away and not noticed them. And then the doctors themselves. At least two doctors both male and female (happy to name names) pushing you through the revolving door and then charging you for not even helping you. Or the doctor that hands out drugs and antibiotics like lollies even if you dont want a pill, and youd rather have discussed other options like a referral to allied health or something. Again happy to name names. Lastly wait times have got a lot longer over the last few months, even up to an hour. Todays last straw was being charged $55 to be told โ€œyou have to book another appointment for thatโ€ and being refused a simple request for patient comfort. I just want a doctor thats willing to give me a reasonable amount of time and talk through options with me, rather than going โ€œthis is your only optionโ€ even when we both know theres other options. I dont go to bulk billed places because id rather the dr makes the money they should, but also gets paid for going above and beyond what the government expects. Smart clinics im sorry to say your missing the mark.

I was seeing dr Ramesh from this clinic some months ago in regards to a pain issue. Dr Ramesh was my prescribing dr for the pain medication. Upon finding out that I had gone to a different dr for pain medication, as I was on holidays and it was the Christmas period, dr Ramesh cut me off from his clinic and his care. The police were called at that time and the manager of smartclinics had told the police that I was demanding medication from the chemist next door. I wasnโ€™t. I was sitting patiently as per her direction in the doctors waiting room. The police arrived and couldnโ€™t work out the conflicting stories and the chemist had no idea of why theyโ€™d say that. Dr Ramesh then proceeded to agree to give me a script in front of the police if Iโ€™d go away. I took it. I realised at that point that I needed the pain medication for pain as well as to make myself feel balanced. I detoxed myself (2.5 days of absolute hell on your own) at the lodge I was staying in as a boarder. This episode may have repercussions for me in later life, so I rang today to see dr Ramesh and chat about how the situation was handled. Dr Ramesh refused to see me. That is his perogative but a part of life is being able to own up to your mistakes. Dr Ramesh believes in my opinion that he knows best for the poor care he provided me. I wouldnโ€™t trust dr Ramesh with any major decisions needing to be made about my care as I was treated badly and unfairly. If I wanted to know what brand band aid I should buy, then I might want his advice. In my opinion he is a power tripper of monumental proportions. Yours sincerely Glenn (last name withheld)

I scheduled a Telehealth appointment last Friday with this practice. I didn't receive a call for my appointment and an hour and a half later I needed to follow up. I was placed on hold over the phone repeatedly and left for around 15 minutes before being told that the doctor had left the practice that afternoon, and was scheduled for an appointment on Monday the following week. Today I'm informed at my appointment time that the appointment is not possible as Telehealth because of Medicare guidelines. I'm extremely disappointed with this practice. Very unprofessional in their approach and would not recommend them to anyone else. It's a shame as I used to go here for many years as a patient.

Given fulse advise from front counter causing myself to remain in pain and discomfort for a further 24 hours Set up a Tellee appointment to not get a call and was told I was wrong my phone rang and I didn't answer (I have more recording and monerating apps on my phone than QPS) Had bloods taken for a doctor and have now been asked not to come back as I've complained about the service ... I never got my bloods results but I also have a chronic fear of needles took me a lot to have them take bloods (stress anxiety)and now all for nothing as I've got to do it all over again Was refused a mental health plan by the surgery and refused to show any concern for my mental health To sum this practice up "in it for the money not the people" ....... worst surgery ever

Dr Scott Horsburgh was an absolute pleasure to meet. First time I have been to a doctor who has run on time. Put any anxiety about meeting a new doctor at bay. Easy to talk to and informative. Professional who makes you feel at ease and spoken to as an equal. Humble in his achievements and experience. Thank you so much.

My mother has attended this clinic for many years with no issue, but will now never return, after a series of debacles, including advise on receiving a positiveโ€™ with a test only to then find that was incorrect, further tests performed that were not meant for her but another patient and incorrect medication. To an elderly woman this has caused enormous distress This clinic is out of control my advise would be to get right out of there

I saw Dr. Chuo multiple times for virginal pain, she did tests for thrush and UTI. The UTI test was contaminated, but she did not think to get me to do a second test the next time I saw her, when she did more thrush tests. The pain would not go away, and I was out of money, I used my savings to get treatment, with no results! I called and asked reception if I could get bulk billing with anyone for another appointment, as I am DSP and NDIS. Telling them that I was in a lot of pain. They said they would ask the Doctors and call back. They did NOT call back. No sympathy, more inserted in MONEY than care! I have been in pain for so long, and it got so bad that I had a panic attack with hyperventilation! I ended up going to the emergency department, waiting 7 hours! Because I have had this for a MONTH!! By this point. Turns out I had a UTI! which can have serious health effects if untreated! I am extremely unimpressed that I spent so much money using my savings to get treatment, with no results. The fact that I have been in pain for a MONTH! Even with just sitting! And doctors having no sympathy for someone who seriously needs help, plus the fact I had to go to the EMERGENCY department to get results! This is ridiculous!! I also find the age requirement to get bulk billing ridiculous. Not everyone has the income to see a doctor multiple times in 1 month, especially when on centerlink between the ages of 17 or something? and 65 years old. Nor does everyone have the income for insurance! I would have been a return patient if they had more sympathy and diligence even without bulk billing, I would have happily paid. I will NOT return!

I booked a Telehealth consult to speak with a GPโ€ฆ the phone call never came. After waiting 2 hours for my appointment, I called reception and was told the GP was delayed and they would get back to me soon. After another 3 hours, I call again and am told I wouldnโ€™t be eligible for a Medicare rebate and get charged the full $90 fee. I am then put through to the doctor and the phone call was less than one minute. The doctor asked few questions and seem disinterested. As a person who works in healthcare, I understand that GP practices are busy but I am disappointed by this experience, the quality of the customer service and would not recommend this practice. I will go elsewhere in future.

$89 FOR 7 MINS PHONE CONSULTATION... SHOCKING Regardless of how many times I explained Senior Medical Receptionist Zoe that my insurance does not cover doctor's appointments and asked if invoice can be changed to short consultation instead, which is more appropriate for phone 7 mins consultation, my request was denied. Last time I had phone consult it was bulked billed but this time I was charged even higher than face to face appointment. I feel nothing but disappointment that despite my explanations they did not want to hear me at all. Will never come to this clinic again.

Poor ethics --> Rude Receptionist - never gonna go there! Called the receptionist today 3 Feb 2020, and she was more interested in booking an appointment rather than listening to what I wanted to ask - which was to ask whether there are any GPs in orthopedics. When I asked her that she told that they dont have such expertise to offer. I politely said that I'll have to find else where and if I am unable to find a specialized doctor, I'll told her that I'll contact the center for an appointment - she said WHATEVER!! in a sarcastic way! POOR PATIENT CARE!! POOR ETHICS!! AVOID AT ALL TIMES!!

not a pleased experience at this place and certainly will not go back or recommend it to anyone I know. During a discussion, Doctor Helen said "QUITE" to us. She did not provide any comforting advice but surely make people depressed. NO HUMAN INTEREST AT all. In general, it is a very disappointing medical consultation I have ever had.

Firstly this place doesnโ€™t bulk bill and was the only place we could get an appointment at the time. Secondly I took my partner in because he was feverish, pains in the neck and back as well as a cough to find out that it was a simple problem that could be fixed with tablets and a nose spray. I specifically asked the doctor to check him for influenza. The doctor said since he didnโ€™t have swollen joints that he didnโ€™t have it. Guess where we ended up. The hospital about 6 hours later. He fainted upon arrival and does in fact have influenza! There are many other symptoms than just having swollen joints! Seriously how could you miss diagnose influenza when it is so bad this season!!!!!

I spoke to the doctor there about a Yellow Fever and Typhoid vaccination for travel. The doctor mentioned Hep A, but I declined and he agreed. He wrote as such in his notes. Then, when he talked to the Nurse who was administrating the vaccines, somewhere the nurse was told that I needed the Hep A and Typhoid, despite me specifically not wanting it, and having a requirement for Yellow Fever to enter the regions I am travelling to. I found this out when realising I hadn't received the documentation required, I called them, and all of this information was relayed to me. I'm out of pocket $80 for a vaccination I did not require, and will need to pay a further $100+ for the one I had specifically requested and thought I had already paid for. All because of the incompetence of the staff here.

II started visiting Smart Clinics due to the under-funding of Medicare Bulk Billing leading to my doctor of over a decade no long offering Bulk Billing. Smart Clinics are not what I was used to, but visiting this clinic is generally a straightforward process of arrive, queue via mobile app, and be seen, either by the first doctor available or your preference. I prefer Dr Raemesh, because he always makes me feel heard and like he's doing his utmost for me. I believe best healthcare is delivered by consistently seeing the same doctors. So I wish Smart Clinics policy put a little more emphasis onto establishing patient history, and I hope the doctors there are there on an ongoing basis.

Tried phoning twice to ask a few questions, was put on hold the first time for about 17 minutes then proceeded to ring again a bit later to see if they would pick up but still no luck after waiting another 10 minutes. When I got there, the receptionist was nice but noticed again that the phones were ringing non-stop but no one was picking them up. I saw Dr Celina Chuo after seemingly seeing that she had interest in Women's Health. Don't know if my expectations were too high seeing that it is almost a $50 gap after the rebate for a 10 minute consult but was thoroughly disappointed and am still thinking about it days later, hence the review. Being a new patient, I expected some sort of introduction or 1-2 general questions about my medical history, however, I guess she did not have enough time to do so. Her bedside manner was fine at best - it did not leave me with the best impression. Was given a script, however, upon getting it at the pharmacy, was actually prescribed something completely unexpected. In hindsight I suppose I could have asked more questions, but honestly, as a new patient getting a new script, is basic general education not the bare minimum? This experience has really led me to believe that I'm just another patient that they can charge $90.00 for a 10 minute appointment rather than actually listening and showing any sense of genuine care towards who they are seeing. Disappointed to have had to pay that amount, only to have to find another practice again.

Dr Aditya of Smartclinics Annerley is my chosen health provider for good reason. I had a long term GP (25+ years) who retired years ago meaning I needed to find a replacement. In these days of commoditized and impersonal medical service it's hard to find a doctor who is a good, friendly, knowledgeable and interested care giver. After some very disappointing assignments over a few years I found Dr Adi. He is someone with whom I feel at ease and open. He explains situations and is interested in my entire health. I am always happy to meet with him, welcomed by his big smile and genuine greetings. I hope to have another 25 years at Smartclinics Annerley with him. Special mention also needs to be made of the reception staff. Again friendly, welcoming and genuine. I love seeing them when I walk in and enjoy that they recognise me. A pleasure to get a warm reception and farewell after the appointment. Thank you Dr Aditya and your reception team. Much appreciated.

No happy we booked my son in to this doctor to get a medical done for motor racing. When we booked we told the staff what it was for and we were advised that yes they could do it. We drove all the way over for our appointment for them to turn around and say sorry we don't have the correct staff on to do this for you. Would not recommend this place.

Dr Aditya, I don't know where he got his medical license but horrible experience. Went in for the first time for my daughter, as she was complaining about her ear, he took one look and said "Doesn't look too bad" Said to take her for a covid test and urine test and prescribed some medication, that I'd never heard of before. Said that I "didn't need to worry" abouf it Daughter still in pain, made an appt with her usual Dr, the second her usual Dr looked in her ear she said "yes, she has an ear infection" Wanted to try out this surgery as they are a minute up the road, but never again. My child was in pain for 2 days and was told, she was fine. Do not go to this surgery.

WORST EXPERIENCE! Booked in a pre appt for Mirena insertion. On my way to my appt to have it done, took pain meds before and in an uber. Stuck in traffic and said I would be a few ins late (330pm appt). They called back at 333pm saying they were going to cancel me and I was 1km away. Called again at 338pm saying the doctor left and I was too late and I was outside the GP clinic - 8 minutes! Rude service on the phone. Rebooked for the Monday and then Friday 445pm call me to tell me unless I do 1pm they won't do it even know tho I called and booked it for after work after the last experience. Awful experience!

Please do not go to Dr Tripti! For context, I am a young adult. I would not wish an appointment w/ Dr Tripti on my worst enemy, never mind someone actually in need of help. She is unsympathetic and refuses to listen to a single thing you say. She will however make harmful and hurtful presumptions about your illness. After seeing her, I was distraught and felt completely dismissed. If you have children, please do not send them to Dr Tripti, I beg of you , and please do not go for yourself!!

Just a horrible experience. My daughter visited the clinic after splitting the skin on her cheek requiring an assessment to see if she required stitching or follow up for a possible cheek bone fracture. She left traumatised after spending time with a GP that had zero interest in assessing and dealing with her injury. If this is what constitutes after hours medical care, then you are better off going to the local school tuckshop for better expert medical care. Do not waste any time going to this supposed After Hours Medical Clinic for any reason other than wasting your time.

Sometimes can't get into the GP I would prefer but they are all lovely and professional. Reception Staff are friendly and understanding.

Whoever on the Phone was so rude. The reason anyone calls to reception is to get some information not an arrogant and rude response. Don't just assume people are dumb. If you have problems in answering the questions then better find something other than front desk job.

Never book at this clinic. I made an appointment with a specific Dr for a dive medical. The Dr was away sick when the appointment was made. I was called the next day, day of appointment to say the Dr is still away sick. Why make an appointment with a patient with a sick Dr, especially given current world events. Wasted my time and effort, purely money driven practice.

Dr Subrata Aditya Is amazing! He diagnosed my partner with possible appendicitis and urged him to go to the ED. The symptoms were atypical and not obvious at all!! We almost didnโ€™t believe Dr Aditya. At the ED we were told his appendix had burst and he was rushed to emergency surgery! He had the beginning of infection. Dr Subrata Aditya literally saved his life!!!

Excellent Medical Centre that we have been going to for nearly 20 years. Dr Helen Tumusiime is a wonderful, caring GP, great with children. Dr Scott Horsburgh is oustanding, also specialises in skin checks. Dr Subrata Aditya is a diligent, excellent GP - after seeing our daughter, he sent her for tests and referred her on to a pediatric urologist, under his care she recently went through life changing surgery to save a heavily traumatised kidney, a very rare case in children. Cannot recommend this medical practice highly enough.

If you want above and beyond health care, this is the clinic for you. I attended the surgery as a walk in and was greeted by a lovely team of receptionist who were extremely helpful. Even though the doctor was fully booked out, the receptionist was able to squeeze me in. The doctor I saw, I forgot his name, was incredibly knowledgable. He listened to me and gave me multiple treatment choices. I will definately be returning to the clinic and will continue my health care with SmartClinics Annerley.

Needed to see a doctor ASAP. They say โ€˜ late doctor open 7 days โ€˜ but at 8pm their were no doctors there. Waited in the pain for nothing.

The doctor refused to see us today (despite us needing timely medical attention) as he couldnโ€™t log in to their server due to internet issues. Obviously not a doctor from the pre-computer era as he was not comfortable with writing paper scripts. The receptionist handled the stressful situation like a total champ and secured us appointments at the Toowong clinic where, despite the lack of computers, they are still seeing patients. #notsosmartclinics

This has been my gp clinic for the past year but won't be going back due to my very bad experience this week. I was called many times from the clinic a few months back, apparently my gp requested to see me regarding the results of my recent minor surgery. It went well so I didn't understand what kind of results they could possibly talk about. I made an appointment after a while when I also needed a blood test done as didn't want to pay for the appointment just for the results. When I got in the room, the doctor asked me what results I wanted to discuss and she asked if they were something pre surgery that was done in November 2018. What ?? So I had to explain to her the whole story while she was the one (Or possibly another doctor but you'd imagine they'd leave notes to each other) who had requested me to come into the clinic in the first place. There were no results to be discussed in the end, just a document to be sent back to the hospital. I felt scammed. In addition, I got some very severe bruising after getting the blood test done - it's been 4 days and my arm is still bruised and so sore i had trouble sleeping on that side. Ive never had bruising after a blood test before so the nurse must have done something wrong. Very disappointed with this clinic.

Going for years. Dr Constaninescu (GP) has been nothing but kind and caring. And Dr Sawhney is the finest psychiatrist I've come accross. Excellent doctors and excellent clinic.

I just visited Smart clinics at Annerley and had an extremely positive experience. I went for a skin check and it was handled extremely well by the doctor. She was very efficient and thorough. The Reception staff were friendly and also very efficient. I would highly recommend coming to this clinic.
