Great restaurant and bar. The food selection is awesome and there's a number of great items on the vegan menu as well. Great for family outings or with a few mates. Bar staff are friendly as well.

Well done guys 👏 we dined for lunch yesterday and were very impressed. Staff were very friendly. I had the chicken wings, I also ordered chicken burger off the $15 menu. My wife is a vegetarian and ordered the vegetable Souvlaki. Great quality and great value for money will be back 😊👍

Amazing attentive and friendly service. The staff were so engaging and made good recommendations. QR sign in and covid safe plan in place. Ordered the Lamb, Calamari and Hamburger and all were delicious staggered throughout the service. The Lamb just needed to be a little more seasoned (seemed like it was steamed in a bag first) but fell off the bone. Beer was Fruity and surprisingly refreshing. Dessert was Strawberry sundae and Mango. Not a fan of Mango to be honest so the taste was peculiar to my pallette. It actually tasted like Margarine lol but that could be the combination of Nuts with the soft Mango. All in all, amazing service with nice open dining area in and out so no fear of feeling cramped which happens a lot but fortunately Uptown Social ticks all the boxes. 5⭐ Great service, Food just needs a bit more seasoning.

Service is absolutely amazing and food is presented perfectly and is very tasty. I can't rave enough about the staff, they are so lovely and helpful and professional. Comfortable seating and just love it there. I would've given 5 stars but my steak today, whilst tasty and yum, was a little tough and chewy. Otherwise, perfection. There was 5 of us and we all left well satisfied.

we went to this place as we found in them website about lunch deals, but when we arrived we were told taht doesnt exist anymore. anyways, food was good, service a little bit slow.

Had booked the booths for a Christmas function, and rocked up to the venue to be told they’d given the spot we booked a month ago to another group. Asked if they’d do something to rectify it, and was told it was really busy (irony being it was our 20 people who had just arrived making it busy). Had to sit awkwardly in a space that didn’t fit us squished in, and service all night was rude and arrogant. Felt so badly treated.

Had the steak. Really well cooked just the way I like it. The presentation of the food was different but cool. Service from the bar was excellent.

Came here for my birthday. We were one of the only parties there but the website said they were open “till late”… they closed at 8:30pm. Not all of my party arrived until around 7:45 but when they did the kitchen had already closed and they didn’t tell us so they weren’t able to get any food. We had ordered sides of Karaage chicken which was yum but we were waiting to properly order until all of my party arrived, so no one got to order mains. They also closed the bar 15 minutes after they arrived. The communication was not up to par. The website said they had a range of cocktails and fishbowls but when we went to order them they didn’t have any. Why advertise them if you don’t sell them? It is a great space and the sides we got were very nice and the staff were nice. However I unfortunately will not be coming back. I had mentioned in my booking that it was for a 20th birthday party. I understand that it was a week night, but advertising that you are open until late and then close early is ridiculous. Not up to standard. If I had of known this is how my birthday dinner was going to go I would have booked more appropriately.

Went here for lunch on Saturday, first day of a new menu & it was unbelievably good! We had the mushroom & halloumi burger & the chicken supreme with gnocchi all reasonably priced (slightly on the small side our only feedback) The food & staff were great especially the bar guy with the beard (sorry didn’t catch his name) and also the waitress. Had some good music on the playlist too which created a relaxed atmosphere.

Been to uptown a few time but first time since menu has changed,always found meals very good and filling. Well we’re we in for a surprise my wife ordered pork belly which she enjoyed and l had chicken Parma with chips and extra small salad, my Parma was so small it was a joke and l had only a small amount of chips and the salad cost me about $8 extra and it was all croutons, l have never had a parma so small and it cost me $26 and that is the last time my wife and l will go there. It use to be so good and the only thing l must thank them for was the staff were very good. We took friend from Melbourne with use they were disappointed with there meals to. I booked a table for 8 people a few weeks ago and upgraded 24 hours before arrival to 9 people and arrived with no booking? With no notice of cancellation. Not that it mattered as there were loads of tables available. Just embarrassing for colleagues expecting to arrive under a booked table name. Then we ordered food which came out slow and not at the same time and the food was not as described on the menu; missing side of potato salad on 3 orders and another order came with cheese when my friend asked for her burger without cheese. Glasses were served hot to have with a cold bottle of white wine? And staff member Gwen? was rude when questioned about missing sides… I also initially booked this venue for my work leaving do because they had initially booked a great duo Michelle Brown Duo who I knew would create a great atmosphere and get us up dancing and they cancelled her the day of the gig and so the atmosphere was not as expected and not great as the music did not entice dancing. It was a very unfortunate evening because of the actions of one rude staff member.

We were greeted on arrival and shown to our table. Menus provided, we chose the charcuterie board, mushrooms and calamari to be shared between four people. The quality of the food was superb. There is no doubt we will visit again, and l would recommend others also do so. The guitarist playing in the background made it a memorable evening.

Have had several lunches at Uptown and very impressed with the value and many menu options available. They also have a great range of wines which are value for money. Definitely worth a visit if you're after a casual yet quality lunch.

$15 lunch specials ona Saturday were 👌 menu was great and had something for everyone. Food quality was great. Speedy service. My only complaint would be that the chips had a fair amount of slightly spice seasoning which meant I couldn't give them to 10month old to chomp ...was too spicy for him. Otherwise .. great!

Delicious food, clever cocktail list and always great specials on the changing menu. Genuine arty gastropub style shows the Chef's UK origins. We love sitting in the sunshine on the terrace for after work drinks, super convenient in the CBD. AND there's even stellar champagne by the glass! Cool place to gather.

Great spot and vibe. awesome drinks and fairly good staff when they weren't gossiping and paying attention to anything but the customers. Food options pretty alright, not so for a vego though. Dish I got was not cooked through, much of it was inedible. My friends food was underwhelming and over priced. I won't bother returning, except for casual drinks.

Had the chicken burger, steak, and a calamari from the “to share” menu. The burger and steak were both awesome, no complaints. However the calamari seems to fall short on both portion and effort for a $16.9 dollar dish. Was a bit bewildered to be served a few strips of fried calamari slapped on aioli sauce. Not to mention it was named “Szechuan calamari” or something, but I could not find anything Szechuan about it. Otherwise we had a nice meal and the staff was lovely.
