AMAZING experience! They didn’t have Dr. Pepper so the owner gave my fiancé one from his own stash. Then they didn’t have tartar sauce that wasn’t spicy, so the owner went and made me some on the spot. We didn’t have reservations on New Years Eve and they still got us in quickly. Our food was incredibly fast. So impressed and would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Oh how do I love the Hammond, let me count the ways… friendly Bartenders always to take care of us with a kind word and delicious drink. I tasted a sample of a red velvet martini on my last visit, so cool and delicious. I’ve been eating there over 25 years and it never disappoints. Fresh hot rolls hit the table to tag along with the most sublime Lobster Bisque. I always get the scallops. A great value and served old school style with drawn butter for dipping. How many places do you eat at theses days that has its own signature China? This Supper club has been around for decades.and has always held up its standards despite the economy, pandemic and all the other distractions that can bri g down an establishment. There is a liquor store downstairs where you can buy a bottle of wine and pay a 10$ corkage at the table which is a deal in my book! Such a place that has such rich culinary history.

Cannot beat the food and prices here. Although it could use a makeover but the service is the best in the tri state area.

The food is absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The shrimp was huge, good quality, prime rib cooked perfectly. Prices are extremely reasonable. The atmosphere is very nostalgic. It is like the old supper club I went to in the 70's with my entire family. Absolutely loved it. I will definitely be back. I almost forgot, the variety of HOMEMADE deserts is awesome and absolutely scrumptious.

The lost in the 70's decor is the perfect backdrop for this decades old, family owned iconic neighborhood restaurant. They food is as traditional "Steak House " as you can get. All the classic surf and turf items you'd expect. We were there recently with a rather large party and only one was disappointed with the steak. It was ordered medium well. It was decidedly well done. I can say that the Scallops were incredible. Dessert list is impressive, but the desserts are not made on site or baked local to my knowledge . Rather they seem to be from a supplier. Still, everyone who ordered something said they liked them. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The staircase up to the restaurant will prove problematic to those with cardiac and mobility issues.

A Superior staple. I liked there hasn't been an update in decorating, that just means the renovation costs get passed onto the customer. We had the gazebo table. Super friendly waitresses and staff. The food was amazing. Our table had a variety off the menu and everything was perfect.

The Prime Rib was EXCELLENT! and very reasonably priced. The sides, salad and dessert were also very good. It was an enjoyable evening and meal. The service was top notch as well.

First time ever eating at the Hammond they told us that it would be 2 hour wait and then to matradee said the bar is open, we looked over and it was wide open we went over and got first class 5 star service from the boys behind the bar. The food was cooked to order perfectly our drinks We're always. filled. We tried some of the best bourbon I have ever tasted. Best night ever.!

We really like to eat here but wish there were not rolling food carts banging and making noise. The cloth chairs need a good cleaning. We had to get up and refill our own water glass. Ordered a drink and were never asked if we would like another. The prime rib was actually cold on my plate upon arrival and the hash browns were not cooked and mushy. The Tiramisu desert was good. We like to tip well but find it hard when our server just didn’t care or didn’t want to try hard to deliver a good experience. Just an observation but the host should wear something other than an old t shirt and jeans. We know they mean well but do need to know that people expect a lot more when spending hard earned money for a nice dinner out.

We were there for a birthday party and I'm so glad it was there, we forgot how much we love it!!! Everything was really good and our server was great. Wednesday night had great specials and we enjoyed them all. I didn't think anyone was going to get a dessert but we all did and they were amazing 💕

Beautiful place, the food was out of this world this places knows its steak. Just when I thought it was done.. the desert was AMAZING. Service was spectacular. Couldn't ask for a better experience when you choose Hammond steakhouse

I had seafood fettuccine. It was good, but far from amazing. My wife had a king sized prime rib. Great slab of meat, cooked perfectly (for her anyway). Her only complaint was that it could have used a touch more seasoning (I don't know what she was looking for). In all very good - but I used to live in KC, so the steakhouse bar was set pretty high going in. I should also mention two things... First, this place has a very reasonably priced menu. Second, you would be wise to arrive hungry, cause they are gonna feed you!

We chose this place bacause we were staying nearby. I did not have high expectations because from the outside it is underwhelming. But this place proves you can't judge a book by its cover. We were seated immediately and our server was fantastic. We started with walleye fingers which were thick and coated to perfection. Another appetizer of onion rings were hand breaded and crispy. The salad was decent as was the lobster bisque. For entrees I had sirloin steak and lobster. The steak was under seasoned but my son said this is wisconsin people dont like a lot of seasoning and you season to taste after. It was cooked to a perfect med rare. The lobster was some of the best i have eaten. Similarly for the steak and scallops. Decent steak but phenomenal scallops. 2 in our party had filet mignon. The filets were seasoned and cooked to perfection.lobsyer mac and cheese was decent and broccoli side was great. 2 had hash browns which were fantastic. Served as a huge square and expertly crisped on the top and bottom. For dessert we shared bread pudding and banana cream cheesecake with hot fudge. Both were raved about. I definitely recommend this place.

I was extremely disappointed. It was my birthday and looking forward to my special night out. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi. Got 2 whole shrimp that was tasteless and tough. The steak that came with it was tough and tasteless. We will NOT be back

I think perhaps they were overwhelmed with folks wanting to see if they lived up to being honored by local media recently. Things took quite a while and 3 of the steaks ordered at our table were overdone. They also ran out of a couple cuts. Other than that very polite friendly hard working staff. Very nice classy place, old fashioned in a great way. Great flavor and nice selection. Willing to forgive some mistakes that weren't deal breakers because they were clearly swamped when we went. Definitely will give them another shot.

Steak, shrimp, lake trout, salads, French onion soup, dinner rolls, and grasshopper drink were all amazing. Our waitress was so attentive and caring. Reasonable prices too. Couldn’t have had a better experience! First time there and will definitely be back!

Great service, fun vibe, and absolutely delicious food at a superior price! The special was prime rib and it was amazing! They were very busy when I got there, but the service was top notch and personable.

We love Hammond's! Whenever we go through Superior around dinner time we stop. It's an older restaurant so if you need fancy decor it's not the place for you but if you love good steak and friendly service it's a must visit!

This place had good reviews on our local Twin Ports foodie page so I picked this spot for my birthday dinner. The only thing good was my piece of cheesecake at the end and our shrimp. All of our steaks which there were 3 of us were hard to chew and not cooked the way we had asked which was medium and medium well. The manager didn't want to fix the issue and remake them. One came out medium rare and the other two were overcooked and dry, one very dry. The manager did finally have them remade after arguing with us about that's how they're supposed to be. The new steaks came out medium rare and hard to chew. We couldn't even eat them. Very sad I chose this place for my birthday dinner after this terrible experience. The manager did finally take off half my meal price after saying I was going to give them a bad review for her terrible customer service and food. It shouldn't take all of that to correct your mistake! I won't go back again.

The restaurant is amazing and deserves 5 stars. The food is always cooked to perfection and the staff is the best. However google makes you review the restaurant and the lower bar together and the "lounge" downstairs connected to the liquor store is the opposite of upstairs. Upstairs is a classy and welcoming place while the "lounge" provides cheaper drinks with terrible service. The bartenders don't pay attention to or serve the entire bar in a timely fashion; instead they talk to the people they like and completely ignore/refuse to serve people based on their own pettiness and personal issues. It's a great place if you're able to go during the day, but if you are looking for a welcoming bar after 5pm avoid this bar/lounge at all costs.

Our anniversary dinner in an area we have never been! Love supper clubs so why not? The service was excellent from the bartender to the clean up staff! Kudos! However, the food was not as top notch. Someone does not know how to cook scallops. They didn’t take off the muscle and they were over cooked! Maybe stuck them on a hot plate and then had to wait? Shrimp was good, steak was so so.

We ordered the Boneless New York strip. The steak was cooked absolutely perfect--like butter however it was under seasoned. The fried pickle spears were pretty good. The staff was friendly, out food was out very fast. Though the establishment is clean, it was hard to get over the wet moldly carpet smell. It was hard for me to eat with the smell, that's why mu rating is a 3 and not a 4.

Great food at a fair price. Their Prime rib is the best deal around!

My family experience there was not great. The waitress got orders wrong and forgot stuff. Waitress hardly checked on us and waited for refills. My son order med well steak. It was so rare. We were there for birthday. Kinda sad!

Had the steak and lobster special. Service was great, but the food was very underwhelming.

I ordered to go. The building itself was very outdated and dirty in appearance. The salad was great, and I truly enjoyed the ranch dressing. My steak was cooked perfectly, but I've had better cuts with better seasoning for less money. I'm not upset I tried it, but probably won't return.

I don't go to restaurants for steak often because I have been let down too many times. This place was a great find for me and my wife. Everything they brought us was very good. My wife started with a garden salad with raspberry vinaigrette and she said it was the best raspberry vinaigrette she ever had. The ribeye steaks were done perfect and were great flavor. Topped it off with white chocolate cheesecake with raspberries and it too was excellent. We look forward to coming back again and will bring friends with. Good job!
