If you're looking for the quintessential American cheap eats, fast service, bad-for-you but delicious food, you found it at The Kitchen in Superior WI. You may not get the most polite service, but you will get hot food, quickly and on the cheap. Look online to see the hours before you go because they are not open all day into the evening like many restaurants. If you're in Superior Wi and want some quick, cheap American eats, go here.

OK I just have to say that I've been here for 15 years and I've never even heard of the kitchen. Until recently it's this little off the wall Restaurants/diner with so much history my waitress Chris, she loves her job and It just pours out of her she gave me so many recommendations on what to have and she told me that everything here is phenomenal and I can't explain the experience I just had with these pancakes it's like fall and going to grandma's house when you're a kid. they're amazing yeah by far the best pancakes I have ever had and my waitress was amazing. overall 5 stars if you haven't gone here and you must go

Fun place - a lot of funny signs and I loved the shirts on the wait staff. More importantly the service was good and we had an excellent breakfast. I had the hash brown omelet and it was excellent. Cash only but low prices and a great value. I would go back any time I am in the area.

This place looks a little old on the outside but I tell you the food is fantastic, all home cooking. I had the steak and eggs and finished off with a slice of banana cream pie. The steak was nice and tender, the eggs were definitely from a local farm because they were wonderful, the hash browns were perfect and the banana cream pie was like you make at home with gram cracker crust. If you are in the area, you have to go. I just can't say enough good stuff about the place. I am definitely coming back!

Excellent breakfast! I knew after reading a couple of reviews here on Google that it was going to be a good place for me. I saw several good reviews but then the one bad review made me know it was going to be a good spot for breakfast. (I could tell the bad review was left by a liberal.) Excellent pancakes, perfect eggs, very good bacon. We will be back!

This is the classic greasy spoon....awesome food...comes fast and is reasonably priced. Everything on this menu is very good. Yes, you can go to Murray's steak house and get a better burger but, you'd have to make more than $3.00 an hour to accomplish this. And, not even the mayor of Superior makes that. Kitches....is the place....oh and on the other side of town....don't forget the Shamrock pizza.....

If you are ever in Duluth, MN, or near it, you must travel over the I-53 bridge to get to the best breakfast in the area, The Kitchen, 803 N. 5th Ave., Superior, WI. I had the 2 egg #4 breakfast which was fantastic! Serves was excellent also, and the prices are a steal.

Food was a solid 4 stars, they gave great big portions. Service was excellent! And atmosphere was mostly local elders. All in all a wonderful experience

I love this place. Makes me remember what it was like back in the day when America was great! Food sticks to your ribs, the staff doesn't need to ask you what pronouns you use before they talk to you, and the patrons here is what America is all about. I love the signs on the walls and who they stand for. BLUE lives matter yes sir! They really let you know what kind of people are welcomed in here 😉, but more importantly what kind of people are NOT!

This is a dining treasure. Saturday breakfast is amazing. Had the pork chops special with eggs and loaded hash browns. A flavor explosion of goodness. The meal was perfectly cooked and the seasoning was spot on. The server was attentive even though she had eight tables going. Coffee cup never saw the bottom. Oh and the English muffin toast was perfect. All cash place with fast turn over of tables. Might wait but totally worth it.

I can honestly say our waitress was the best I've ever known. She may have been the owner, not certain. She was sweet, attentive, funny and the food was delicious. She made my day.

**Warning: They do NOT accept cards!** Great little diner with delicious food and very reasonable prices. Service was excellent, even on a busy Saturday morning. Highly recommend the hashbrown omelet.

Wonderful staff, wonderful food, amazing prices it's a tiny rickety building in an odd location with limited hours and it's awesome. You don't go here for the decor. You go for a delicious filling breakfast at a ridiculously good price. The staff is as friendly as can be. The only thing I miss about working overnights is stopping here on the way home. Makes me hungry typing this. Highly recommended if you can see past the run down building. It's part of it's charm in my book.

Great place to have a wonderful breakfast. The food is great. Lotsa funny signs to keep you entertained 🤪 Do take cash to pay. They do not take credit cards. Enjoyed the pork chop breakfast and ribs breakfast. So very 😋 😋

This breakfast spot is legendary! Run down, hole in the wall that’s just worth the trip. Awesome hot delicious breakfast, fun wait service wearing funny sarcastic t-shirts with just as fun signage around the place. Foods really good too! Worth a visit

My family has enjoyed The Kitchen for years and up until today I recommended this tiny hole in the wall to everyone I knew. Today however has completely changed my mind. First we called to order for pick up and it was evident that the gentleman who answered was not pleased with having to write down 3 orders of biscuits and gravy with hash browns, sausage patties and fries eggs. We went to pick up our food and it was over $40 because they had also made sausage links and charged extra. They were rude and short but we paid and brought it home. To say this food was not even edible is an understatement. The biscuits were cold and dry. The gravy was flavorless aside from a rancid sort of sour taste. It literally made us gag! The sausage was not completely cooked and the "toast" was like limp soggy bread. This meal was the absolute ultimate disappointment. I'm so upset as we live only blocks from this establishment and would regularly order as the food was good and the prices were reasonable. The service we received was uncalled for and I believe the food had been tampered with or was possibly expired. I'm truly disappointed at the blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and safety. And frankly I'm just angry that I spent over $40 for food that couldn't even be ingested. Shame on you!
