I was very unsure of this place when I first walked in. The smell about got me. But this is a super old hotel, built in 1925, it still had some cool original features. I loved the old school mail shoot. You got old-school big key for the room. The 1st floor below the lobby had a "Titanic" feeling (but shorter version) stairway. It was really neat to stay here. The rooms they tried to make modern, I thought they did an awesome job at it. Cool, little seating area in back.

Androy got the job done. Recommended to us by our waitress, the old feel made staying here an adventure. The location is super cool, on some sort of main street that felt simultaneously small town-y and New York-y. Luggage cart could only really fit one persons belongings on it, and barely fit in the elevator- we had a heck of a time giggling at how tiny the elevator was. They still use metal keys which, while cool, felt slightly risky as anyone really could have made a copy of the key to our room. Room was clean and the air conditioner worked impressivly. Some people might turn their nose up at the chipping paint on the tub, but for $80 can you really complain? It was clean and my travel partner said it was actually quite a nice shower with good water preassure. I would definitly recommend Androy for people looking for a cheap room, and anyone who likes historical places.

First, off clarification. Giving 5 stars when considering the price. This is by no means a 5 star hotel. That said, it was a very pleasant surprise upon entering the lobby. This hotel is old, but well maintained, and it is very neat seeing a lot of the preserved antiques throughout. The room I stayed in was an attempt at being modern...did it hit a homerun? No. But it was quite pleasant and I felt it was clean. The window air conditioner may be a problem for some - it wasn't for me. The biggest knock, was the bathroom. The bathtub was painted and the paint was chipping badly. If you can look past that, the hotel is well worth the stay.

The hotel is as advertised on their website. Built in 1920's and renovated. Rooms are not large but they have bed/beds, desk, chairs, small bath with shower and plenty of clean towels. The room we stayed in was clean, and so were all the other areas we visited. The staff members are friendly and helpful. Close to restaurants, and other shopping.

The Androy has the best location and depth of history when compared to any other hotel in Superior. It wears that history on it's sleeve. I've been stopping by The Androy for many years. The updates made to the rooms are a welcome addition without masking the character of the "Million Dollar Hotel". Adjusted for inflation it would be a 17 million dollar hotel today! :)

Judy is the best. She has been here for many many years. She truly is the best thing at the hotel. We always look forward to seeing Judy. Rooms are slowly being updated and look nice.

Overly priced rooms with unprofessional management. The room appears nice for the price....but there's the bathroom. The door does not shut in the bathroom. Seems like they tried to dress the rooms up....but there are wires still hanging about. Being screamed on and accused of doing something you didn't do is a good way to lose a customer base. I won't be coming back based on my experience here this time.

This hotel has became a little more "modern". However, it's not as clean as it used to be & certainly not as fun. But the nightlife isn't there anymore so.... I liked the 3rd Rock Bar 🎢🎸🍹

Don’t know where to start but stay clear from this dump! And do not use a credit card a month later they will charge you again. The guy named Jake upfront is awe full putting it mildly.

The lady who was working the front lobby desk was very nice. I could've talked to her about her 20 years of working there for hours. Very accommodating. Loved our stay. Room was clean, and had a very European feel. Did a tour for three months there in a band and stayed in many hotels. This place totally reminded me of the Netherlands.

Husband and I booked a room here on short notice back in Oct 2018. I had read all these reviews first so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a nice one night stay. Room was cozy sized but plenty of room for two. Comfortable bed. Furniture/bathroom was older, but clean and fine to use. Shower/bath was clean. It was definitely worth it for the price we paid that night ($80-ish dollars). If I am in the area in the future, I will stay again.
