Their Sop Buntut Goreng ( Deep Fried Oxtail Soup ) was unbelievably GOOD!! They also sell a lot of meat base food ( especially in a form of soup ). They were located at Jl. Kalimati, on the opposite way of Pabean Market.

Amazing hidden gem and have been going for years.... Consistently good and reasonable. Now that I'm in Canada I miss this terribly.

Best sup buntut i've ever had, the meat was so juicy and tender. Despite of the shady location (in a small alley) everything was clean. Definitely a must have if you ever visit Surabaya.

The oxtail soup here was great! We ordered one with bone marrow, one without it. The bone marrow tastes good, textured like jelly, a bit denser than i usually eat. The oxtail itself was very tender and the soup was flavorful.

Oldies style diner in the old town part of Surabaya. I ordered 'sop buntut' (oxtail soup) with a portion of rice with prawn cracker and 'es jeruk' (iced sweetened tangerine juice diluted in water) to accompany my meals. The oxtail was very tender and came off the bone easily. It tasted fresh and I didn't find the extreme smell and flavor of fat that commonly found in oxtail dishes. Indeed it is your common oxtail soup. The cook definitely know what they are doing. It is certainly the money worth for the taste and the portion given. Highly recommended ☆☆☆☆☆

Legendary oxtail soup. It deserves a more representative place for food this good. Rawon is also good.

the taste its a better than ok, the price a bit cheaper than avg, and the parking spot is pretty much uncivilized, you just wanna buy and gtfo as fast as possible
