You will literally find each and every book here, I have added the picture of the membership plans as well. I've been a member since a long time now and I have to say that is the most perfect library you'll find in Surat. There's a huge space for students to study and work too. The parking space is quite big. I recommend to get a membership as well.

Best place to read. Reading section for boys & girls are seperate and it is open on all days except public holidays and the best thing is that reading section is absolutely free for any citizen. You can bring your study material and read in the peaceful ambience. There are n number of books in the books section, booked of various Exam preparations like CAT, GATE, UPS, etc., historical, novels, biographies are available here but for that you need the membership which is available at affordable rate. Book issuing/renewal section is closed on Monday. Books are issued for 14 days and you can renew it further 2 times through either online or offline mode. If book is not renewed or returned within 14 days penalty charges of Rs. 1/- per day will be applicable to the reader.

Reading room is pretty good until unless librarian yells at girls , Here librarians don’t think about conveying rules lately and personally to particular girl who is breaching instead they just starts yelling and it pretty much affects atmosphere and concentration, I was going since last 3 years and I’ve notice that thing many times . And there’s cabin section where CA intermediate student are not allowed (said by them) they didn’t specifically convey rules and suddenly asked me to go normal reading section , I requested librarian and a head of narmad library let me sit there as my exams are in 1 month and from past 7-8 months I’m setting there sudden change is atmosphere and ambience affects my concentration ( this depends person to person) but they didn’t cooperate with me , I think it is better to go private library even if they charge at least they cooperate.

The reading space is pretty good. The fans don't make too much noise and the benches are good enough. However, wearing shorts is apparently not allowed. Had to go back home and come again because shorts aren't allowed for no reason whatsoever and even if this is the case, they should've at the bare minimum put up a sign outside regarding it but nope. Quite pathetic for the supposed best library in the city .

A must visit on regularly for scanning all important journal and newspapers. A membership will be useful in getting books from lending library.

Amazing place for readers. The Hindi section, comparatively has less collection, given that Gujarati is the local language it is acceptable.
