Ordered the burger 🍔 with soup. The soup is quite good and so does the burger. Better than average for me (my standard is high). The service is great and the atmosphere is better than average... it gets a bit loud when there is lots of people but expected I believe

Our server (Ashlyn) had such a bad stinking attitude, and I dont know for what reason. We were so confused. The whole time she didn’t even come back to check on us to make sure if we needed anything. We were moving our necks around to look for her, just so silly. The moment she came back, she didn’t even say anything when she arrived at the table and just picked up cutlery and was about to leave until I stopped her and asked for the bill. We would’ve sat for a bit more to chill and have a conversation but it just ruined the whole vibe. I understand sometimes someone has a long day but it’s not okay to ruin someone else’s night. The nachos were soggy. The Garlic parmesan fries were really good, I’ll give them that.

I always pass by here when I go to the hospital, but it's my first time here. My friend brought my sister and I here as a surprise. And boy, was I surprised 😂. It's such a pretty place with an ambient atmosphere. The waitresses were very nice and quite patient with us. We sat on a patio (😁) and enjoyed our dinner. The patio was nice because it feels like people walking by are close to us, but they're actually below us. Their washrooms are so cool, it's like glass and compartmentalized, like the ones in Japan. The food was kinda expensive though, especially some dishes with smaller portions than we thought, but they were yummy nonetheless. We didn't get to order the key lime pie but will be coming back for that!

Good place to enjoy with friends!😎 Calamari was crispy and delicious. I like the deep fried jalapeños with calamari. Chicken lettuce wrap was not really impressive. I tried Cactus club one and that one was much much better.. both taste and portion. But still not too bad. Alfredo fettuccine was okay, but maybe if it was more creamy, it would be better. Fish taco was the best among what we ordered. Toppings were all fresh and the portion was great. Deep fried fish stick was super crispy and there was no bad smell. And it came with French fries. (* we ordered an extra fish taco for friends. That is why ours is 3 tacos). Next time I will try happy hour ! No wonder Browns Socialhouse is everywhere😊

They had a covered patio and we were able to get a seat right away for lunch. Everything was delicious. The nachos was great, I had the potato crusted cod with cowboy salad. The salad was fresh and hint of sweetness. The beef dip was amazing as well. Will come back because it wasn’t busy at all.

Went to this Brown's social House for lunch with the coworker. Good atmosphere enjoy the music and wasn't overly busy. Food came in a reasonable time and pricing was within reason. No issues, parking on the street was paid $6 for 2hr, but elevator to the right side of door takes you underground if you don't want to walk in rain. Or parking is hard to find which can be accessed near the Starbucks which is located around the corner of building.

Solid location of the chain to go to near RCH. Calamari and crispy cauliflower was crunchy and not oily, and were evenly battered. Burger was fairly standard, and good overall, and the fish tacos were great and crispy as well. For my taste, the house greens on the side had a bit too much dressing, and I would ask for it on the side in the future if possible. The fries were the only thing I would’ve liked to be more crispy. Overall a good location and I would come back if I’m in the area in the future!

While the food was OK at best.... We noticed our service was horrendous. The "good looking" group of guys behind us at one point had 3 waitresses serving them. Meanwhile we were not served our (empty) side plate as promised upon delivery for our appetizers(which were messy and required such) We had to remove food items around to give ourselves the plates in which they sat upon. Also our empty wine glasses slid to the edge of the table as a clear sign for refill sat unattended for 25 minutes. For such a convenient location for my wife and I located at the bottom of our alley way, we have decided it is not worth the $ for the lack of service versus price of food. Seems the staff need to grow up and realize t.i.p.s. stands for... To Insure Prompt Service. Not service of the heart throbs only... Or lack therof.

I was craving nachos, Browns was the right choice. I enjoyed their house IPAs and appies during their happy hour. It’s a chain, so food and service quality won’t disappoint. The ambience is family friendly, We saw tables with strollers and babies. they got sports bar feel to it as well with ample number of TVs with a game on. Our server was nice, attentive and checked in with us just the right amount.

Even though I’ve visited Brown’s before (and actually multiple times), I hadn’t been to the location in New West and wanted to give it a try. The experience was once again great - the vibe is nice, the food is delicious and well cooked, the staff super friendly and polite. I’m definitely going to visit again.

The food looks amazing but tastes bad, the fish and chips were ok and the hot wings had way to much vinegar, you could smell it from the kitchen. Oreo dessert was only good thing about it. No hot drinks 😒

They've really gone downhill... it used to be our go-to place on call at the hospital. Portions are 3/4 to half of what they were a few months ago. Picture is showing takr out bowl is half filled. They changed the recipe of the dragon bowl which was a terrible idea... tastes like a frozen dinner now. Super disappointed.

Brilliant food, the first time I have ever enjoyed blackened chicken Alfredo. Usually it's dry and gross, but was juicy and packed with flavour here. Nice atmosphere and well laid out for quarantine. Also here's an image of the current menu because google maps is making it hard to view.

It's a great place to be in with their great food selections and also drink selections! They have good meal options, whether you want a light snack or meals. Most importantly, we received a great service and we were well taken care of by Jordan the whole time.

Went here for brunch with a couple friends and got the breakfast hash bowl. It was great, potatoes were a good size and crispy, the flavours were nice and sharp and the portion was good. It was a bit vinegary/acidic, which was I didn't notice for most of it but at the end of the meal it became a little overwhelming. It definitely has that quality chain restaurant taste, I don’t know how to describe that but it’s not a bad thing. It’s a great place to go if you need a good meal and want variety/options for a group of people with different tastes. I’d say everything like $2 more than I’d expect but obviously that’s not the biggest deal, it’s the price you pay for the chain aspect of having options and knowing the quality you’ll get. Service was ok, it was Saturday morning when everyone is tired and we got our drink refills fine which is all I care about. Everyone else felt their food was good too and settled around 4 stars for their meals as well.

I visited this location twice this week and both times the food was fresh and absolutely delicious. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and the Thai soup both times because it was so awesome. Tonight we were served by a lady named Harsha (I think it was, or something similar) and she was so lovely and had great customer service. Highly recommend.

Went with a coworker for an after work session. Great atmosphere and weirdly great view despite just being on Columbia. I had the Dynamite roll and he had fish tacos. Both were spot on. Service was good; seems to be some effort to enter the order on her tablet thing though. My only real complaint was I couldn't find any parking other than pay and even that was difficult to find and pricey considering location.

Went by this spot for happy hour with friends. They had a variety of seating options by the patios and the service was spot on. Had the belinis, social sodas, some loaded nachos and pork taquitos. Good vibes and good eats.

The “lightest” chicken thai soup I’ve ever had: literally 4 spoonfuls and zero pieces of chicken… it tastes good, but not enough to pay $9 for it.

  • 1/5 Jenny P. 2 years ago on Google
French fries for $6, calamari for $16??? So pricy! And taste was just pretty okay but it doesn't mean it was worth it. I was going to visit more often this place but..... not even going to recommend We needed to wait at least 20min to pay and not really good service

When its Happy Hour, Browns is the place to be. We weren't in a main mood, but a snack, so I knew the place to go to was Browns. We took advantage of their Happy Hour deal where some of their signature apps are on special. If there's one thing that Browns absolutely knocks out of the park its these. Their fries are god tier, forged by the potato god's of Halifax. Their fries are easily the best, you won't get better fries anywhere. While their wings are literally just fried with no breading, these are really the only constructive feedback I can give Browns, they are flavorful but lack that "oomf" The sesame ginger gyoza were a perfect balance of flavour, asides from the fries, these were the best app on the social hour, I highky recommend them. Now, for the building. Browns is super accessible with street parking or side streets, inside there are tons of seats and the bathroom is good quality. Service was top notch and really on the ball, servers were super attentive and checked in frequently. Only gripe is only sports on TV, it would be cool to get some games like Twitch on for esport events!

It was an amazing experience. Service was good and the servers paid good attention to what we needed. I did once ask for ketchup but they forgot. It is ok because they were back around again quickly and brought it by asap.

We came here on Sunday after an event. We arrived at 9:00 pm and were told that last call for food was 9:30 and for alcohol was 9:45 pm. Food was good, drinks were good, but it was rather obnoxious how we were rushed through our meal, with plates whisked away almost before we had a chance to finish. Our server even turned on the bright lights at 10:10 pm to signal that it was time to go. Sorry but I was not impressed by the customer service here. This was a first being treated this way. And customer service is a very important part of eating out. I understand that the staff want to go home, but if last call for food is 9:30 pm, guests should be allowed at least one hour to eat their meal without feeling rushed out the door.

I had the pan seared ahi tuna salad. So freaking good! I will definitely order it again. We opted to sit outside which was very pleasant. On Saturdays, there are no cars in the parking lot next door which makes for a better experience. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The French dip bread was a bit hard but other than that, no complaints.

Our server was great, very friendly, attentive and took care of our table of 6 with ease during the busy lunch time sitting. I have a habit of trying beef dip sandwiches at every new restaurant I visit and this was unfortunately hands down the worst I have ever had, I struggled to bite through the meat and it was the toughest cut of meat , reminded me of my grandma cooking a roast for 8 hours, it was a struggle to eat even a few bites, however the fries were great and because I was guest of a customer I chose to not mention quality. Next visit possibly I will try a different menu option.

I came in on Friday and I can honestly say I’ve never been so taken care of in any establishment. I really like browns, but absolutely love this location. The attention to detail and level of service has surpassed my expectations. Thank you to the Amanda’s, you made my experience there unforgettable from start to finish. I will be back and will spread the word!

I haven't dined out in a while considering all-too-well-known situation, and looked forward to visiting this franchise in a prominent location. Was I disappointed? You bet I was! They sat me on the enclosed patio where I had to wait at least 10 mins for a waitress to show up (restaurant was half-empty). That same waitress didn't even smile once (!!!) for the whole evening. Food? It was terrible! Chicken patty in the tacos I ordered was soooo overcooked I felt like I was grinding wooden chips! Onion rings were overcooked too and greasy as hell - I didn't finish them... The only reason I didn't ask to take it back was that I had been starving by the time the food (is it the right word?) arrived... I was about to leave no tips but I still did.... just for the sake of it..... around 10%. Pick a different venue if you don't want disappointment.

Seems to always be out of stock on a few things on the menu. Every so often it's understandable, but for 3 months straight? Honestly at what point is it an issue or is just simple mismanagement? Really frustrating. Every other Browns seems to be great for stock so unsure why this one just seems to be out every day
