An incredible landmark building with incredible attention to detail and ornamentation from top to bottom. If you are fortunate enough to be invited in, it's most definitely worth sending a few minutes inside. There's so much to see, the longer you look at the details the more you will be rewarded. The architect / builder even inserted one visible flaw somewhere, which you may be able to discover.

Beautiful iconic art deco building. Well preserved and maintained. A must see for architecture nerds in town. At ground floor there is a bar and a coffee place both worth the visit also.

Incredible building from early last century. Incredible details in woodworking and tile of the lobby and elevator. Love walking through here.

Building is worth a quick visit. It has been identified as a heritage building. Great find for art deco enthusiasts. Series such as The Flash, Daily Planet use this building as a filming location.

One of the most beautiful buildings I'm the city. Also none as the daily planet in most superman tv shows.

If you love Art Deco, pop into this 1930s office building near the water. It’s open to the public to see the architecture inside. Most of the design is in the lobby and don’t sleep on going inside one of the elevators. There are a few shops in the basement. Restrooms are in the basement but they aren’t open to the public unless you ask a shop owner to let you in.

An iconic building that was not supposed to get built due to war time and cost. You couldn't be cost effective and build the same building today. It would be cost prohibitive to say the least. But a gem of a building in the financial district, with its art deco / marine motifs style architecture and wonderful history. Nice place to work.

Very pretty art deco building built in 1930. As the name suggests, the theme of the building is marine/ocean: to showcase Vancouver as an important commercial port. It was the tallest building in Vancouver till 1939. It is free to go in (it's not a museum) and there are different businesses inside. A place for 5-min photo stop and a bathroom break.

The marine building is stunning. Lot of characters. This building is the most iconic buildings in Vancouver and listed among the best Art Deco buildings in the world. Highly recommended.

Old historic office building.. think built in the 30's. Used to be the British empires tallest buildong when built. It's nice but showing its age.. I guess will depend on your office renovations. Entrance feels historic...

This is just perfect! Do not miss going into the lobby, its art deco interior is stunning! You will feel brought back into the best impression of Mad Men 1930s era you can imagine.

What an amazing example of art deco architecture. Built in 1930, it is so surprising that this beautiful building has not been torn down in a city that does not always respect the past. We were blown away by the lobby with its sea-themed decor, plaster work and stained glass. The historical plaque is informative.

The Marine Building is one of the most iconic skyscrapers of downtown Vancouver. It was built during the height of the Great Depression (started in 1929, finished in 1930), when Art Deco was king. Its design has helped it achieve its status as one of the most recognizable buildings in Vancouver. It is prominently featured in movies and TV shows. From certain angles, the much newer MNP Tower behind it seems to curve around it, a happy coincidence (see my picture on Google Maps).

Stop by this iconic Art Deco building from the 1930s, it's worth checking out. Located in downtown Vancouver, it has a gorgeous lobby with brass door elevators and a Zodiac sign floor. There's many marine-themed decorations throughout the entrance and first 2 floors. For an added bonus in the phone booth area, pick up a phone to hear about the structure's history.

One of the few pieces of historical architecture around as a city has overgrown with giant skyscrapers. Lots of history and worth a visit inside.

Amazing Art Deco lifts. The floor is obscured by scaffolding at the moment
