There's a Chinese restaurant there that serves delicious and tasty Steak and Egg. It's located right next the Handi Craft Center. I highly recommend people to order the Steak and Egg plate ( you can have it with taro or rice). I've been going to this restaurant since I was 6 years old and it's one of my family's favourite hotspots to buy food in Suva, apart from Joji's. I'll take a Steak and Egg plate over a Big Mac anyday! The size of the restaurant may make you question the taste of the food but trust me, they serve delicious food with an affordable price. It's worth it!! 💯💯💯

Never speak to the locals which seems to be friendly to you. Just politely refuse. The scammers all start with welcoming you in Fiji and ask you to take care of your backpack and wallet. They will then pressure you to enter one of the shop and block off the exit until you leave with souvenirs comes with hefty prices.

Bit of a scam market... Items similar to what you can buy in the department stores with marked prices being quite ridiculous. They'll talk about "local" price, which is still higher than buying in a proper store. Prepare to haggle on price, and take note that most items appear to be factory seconds. Price accordingly when negotiating. An additional note about scammers outside who will attempt to befriend you, warn you about carrying valuables and offer to walk you to another market. Don't. Unfortunately these people aren't representative of the broader Fijian people who are kind and caring.

I would recommend bargaining at the handicraft market. And if there is a cruise ship in then go on a different day! if you are on the cruise ship then make sure you bargain, check the prices in Jacks store nearby and make sure they put a sticker that it has been treated.

Bought 5 pairs of earrings from here. They were all broken in the handbag. Quality poor. There are some nice things to buy here but don't buy at the price written on the item. You must always bargain for a lower price.

The 4 star rating is actually for the lil eatery run by a Chinese couple on the basement of the 4-level Suva Car Park next to the Handicraft Center.. my favourite place for the meanest serving of the local variety of "stek n ndalo, too egg.." it's money worth spending

You can for nice pieces if you look carefully. The place needs a bit of life, perhaps music.

Locally Hand-Crafted Fijian Art (yeah right) but this is still a Must See in Suva. These guys are great at their craft (taking your money) and they have so much to offer here at good haggling prices. I really enjoyed talking with them, they are super friendly 😊 and make you feel welcome and special. A Great place to visit - especially Mark in # 10 😉😘

In the Municipal Handicraft Centre you'll find stalls selling authentic and fairly inexpensive Fijian and other Pacific Island handicrafts, carvings, jewelry, gifts and souvenirs made by carvers and traders from Suva with some goods from as far as Lau and Vanua Levu. The market is located a short walking distance from the Port of Suva and so is great for those that visit Suva by cruise ship. Fair and reasonable bargaining is acceptable.

One of the few places to buy the fijian style souvenirs in Suva. Can do lot of bargains. But before you buy anything try to check the price with all shops since almost similar items are available in all. Most of the products found may not be elegantly crafted. If you need some "better quality stuffs with a hight price tag", you can visit Tappoo city situated in walking distance

Locals not very courteous to visitors from my last visit Tourism Fiji should have awareness and promote customer friendly relationship.

A nice selection of Fijian handicrafts including intricately decorated tapa cloth, wooden carvings, kava bowls and more. Make sure you are up for negotiating as that is the way to bargain at the market.

Prices are not fixed. Bargain is possible. A small face mask should go for around 5 Fijian dollars, else you can get it for 7 at the Nadi Airport. Some comes with free carving too.

A place to go for Fiji tourist souvenirs but I expected something bigger and a greater diversity of gift ideas. I thought the Fiji Mesuem shop was better.
