Becareful of those illegal seller at the entrance ticket. They will probably tell u she can offer u RMB50 per hidden entry.. instead of the actual ticket cost u China Yuan RMB100. Great destination to visit. Dont risk urself for buying illegal ticket as security and police is there to guard

Must place to visit in Suzhou. A unique experience to dress up in ancient Chinese clothing and dine/drink beside the river. Don’t rush to choose an eating place. More choices inside. Place also has a few smaller museums, very unique Chinese history.

Like stepping into the pages of a Wuxia novel; in fact, some shows adapted from those books were filmed here. Love that it's off season as crowds were minimal and on the rainy days, we feel like we had the town to ourselves. Be wary of the electric scooters, though. They can sneak up on you as they don't make any sound. Also, some merchants are aggressive and unscrupulous and will lure you into their stores with free samples; as soon as you enter the store, you are an insect in a Venus fly trap! Also, most of the restaurants inside the old city serve pretty much the same dishes. For more variety, go into the regular part of town.

Nice place indeed. Touristy, nicely kept. Recommend to visit if in area.

Very scenic area here. Do get a tour guide to show you around as there is quite a lot of history abound.

Overrated, given the hype and steep entrance fees (RMB 100 for adults). Sleepy looking with the same stores and selling the same wares.

A very nice small water town. One of the must see tourist attractions when you are in Suzhou or Shanghai.

I really enjoyed it and one phrase i will always carry with me "Forever young, forever us"
